Great hotel, clean rooms and common areas, friendly staff, good snack options. The breakfast options were great with hot and cold items and ability to use the toaster, etc. Enjoyed the spacious dining room with different seating options.

Vegan and dairy free options would be great, such as dairy free coffee creamer, dairy free milk alternatives. Would love if breakfast stayed open until 10am, although it didnt seem to close right at 9:30 am so that was nice. The pool was also clean and fun. A hottub would be a great addition! Would suggest keeping a close eye on chemicals. My daughters broke out in a rash/chlorine burns after swimming.

Its cleanliness, comfortable room, good food, great customer service, convenient location.

The fact that guests with dogs brought them to the dining room for breakfast. They should be told at the check in to please leave them in the room while eating. The staff were fast to tell them to leave, but they had already entered, walked around the area and barked at other dogs around the lobby creating a temporary unnecessary chaos for those of us who were eating there at the time. Better logistics and instructions for dog owners are definitely needed.

Easily the best hotel experience we've had in a long time. The set up was great. I especially liked how the rooms have a vestibule shared by two rooms, separate from the hallway. We didn't hear anyone coming and going except the immediate neighbors. Huge bonus. There was a ton of parking, much under the cover of the hotel itself. Very cool. The kitchen facilities in the room were good. Very nice that the hotel supplied paper towels, dish washing liquid, and dish cloths as well. The facility across the street which included an outdoor pool and cabana where food was served, as well as very nice bathroom facilities was the cherry on top of the sundae. A day at the beach was never this comfortable or convenient!

Honestly, the only negative thing was that, when I asked if we could extend our stay by one night, two desk clerks almost immediately figured out a way to make it work but another seemed like he was looking for reasons why we couldn't be accommodated. Very strange. The solution was simple and it seemed like the newer of the 3 employees saw that it could be done, and other agreed while the third was bent on saying, "No". Needless to say, it worked out and we stayed an extra day.

The property was conveniently located right across the street from the beach. It had a great outdoor pool and tiki bar. It had an indoor pool as well. The facilities were clean. We had two different reservations and two different rooms booked as my sister was meeting us there for vacation. they were able to put us on the same floor next to each other. 

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about the property.

While all other hotels are serving crap gas station breakfast. This one is not. Fabulous hot breakfast!!! The room size and amenities convinced us that a couple weeks stay there would be extremely comfortable. Everything you could possibly need was in the room. And the best part, THE SHOWER! Water pressure will blow you away!!!!

The only thing that could make this stay better was if they went down and scraped all the bugs off my windshield and gave my car a good wax. But, hey, I'll take what I can get! 5 star stay for sure!!

The location was perfect, the staff were incredibly friendly. We had our little four pound fur baby with us and she was treated like gold. The rooms were huge, and had a a little kitchenette that we could use if we wanted to heat up food or cook something. The rooms were very clean which is always important to know. We would most certainly stay here again with our family.

I think the fee for pets should be based on the size of the dog. Our dog is only four pounds so it seemed that a hundred dollars was quite steep.

My wife and I visited OBX and stayed for the second time at the TownePlace suites Marriott and will come back again. The hotel is super clean, all the staff is very friendly and the stay was very pleasant. The beach is beautiful and the new tiki bar across the street from the hotel is a great addition with a small variety of foods and drinks, we enjoyed our stay very much and will be back in the spring!

Breakfast was good for the value. Outside Pool was nice but nothing exciting; it would be nice to have an umbrella at the pool. Great convenient for the beach…cross the street was a little daunting, but you are on their property/boardwalk pathway to the beach. Beds were comfortable, queen room had space for family of four. Table and small kitchenette was a great feature. Room was cold enough and not too humid for four family members.

Was put in a handicap room; I didn’t care for the bathroom because there wasn’t an area for toiletries and shower was open for wheelchair access, but it was doable. Slight smell of wet dog in some areas of hotel…but it does cater to pets/dogs.

The hotel is very clean, conveniently located to beach, restaurants, attractions, and shops. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast is good

The layout of the breakfast could be improved so the toasting area isn't at the beginning of the line. It slowed things down. Also, the price of the hotel is a lot! We knew it was a great place to stay so we paid it this year, but the prices on the Outer Banks are getting out of hand.

The layout of the pool and proximity to the beach were great, very easy walk across the street. Staff was super friendly!! Tiki hut and beach snacks/drinks were great to have poolside. The tiki staff were very nice also! So many good restaurants and ice cream places nearby.

Not too many people probably use the gym but I like to run in the morning and 3 out of 4 treadmills were wonky.
