We had a very tight timeline, coming in for a wedding and needed to be into our room before the 4pm check-in. The management was so helpful and accommodating, working quickly to get us into our room so that we could prepare ourselves for the wedding. The suite we had with two rooms was adorably decorated, clean, and appointed with everything we needed. There were ample complimentary soaps and coffee-making supplies.

If we had had the time, we would have made our way to the beach located directly across the street. The hotel is perfectly situated along Virginia Dare Trail. I would definitely make a return visit here! would give our stay a 10 out of 10 except that the air conditioning struggled a bit to make it to the back bedroom. Knowing this, the hotel staff had already supplied a small fan, which we placed in the main room, direction the air back towards our bedroom. Doing this honestly kept the room quite comfortable through the night.

The location of the hotel was great! Only a few houses down and across the street was beach access. The beach throughout the entire week (July) was not too busy. It felt very private. The room was extremely clean. The bathroom, though small, functioned well. We utilized the front porch a lot which had two chairs and a railing to dry our towels. It might have been that we had quieter neighbors, but we were not bothered by sound despite how close together each of our rooms were. We appreciated that at the end of our stay our car was parked right outside our door for an easy pack up!

The room is very compact. We didn't mind it, but the walking space between the bed and bathroom area was only big enough for one of us to pass at a time. The AC hummed loudly every time it restarted, so I wouldn't recommend the stay if you are a sensitive sleeper.

The convenience of the location food, fishing pier everything close or walking distance the room was comfortable and the Gentleman at the front desk was very warm and welcoming and very professional and listened to my experience the night before and made sure that I got in my room with no issues to get the needed sleep and my neighbors were awesome the room was clean smelled inviting the bed was so comfortable I felt lol me I slept for 40 days and 40 nights..lol love the place I will be returning

Best beds, i slept great. It is pet friendly, close to the beach and restaurants, owner and his sister were very helpful and accommodating allowing us to check in early and clean our rooms first. The rooms were very clean and there is a lot of parking. Very nice quaint simple stay. There is a vending machine for soda, and a wash off shower.

One bed rooms are TINY. I mean TINY. those rooms should be priced very cheap. I know they cannot change the room size but man they are tiny. It would be okay with no dog, but if you have a dog upgrade if your staying more than 2 nights. An ice machine would be nice to. Also, a pool would have been nice, but i know that is something they cannot change.

The staff was excellent and could not be more accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. The location to the beach and stores is super accessible -pet friendly - with space provided for your pet ourdoors -privacy - provided all necessary toiletries, dishes, comfortable bedding, and linens. -private front porch/ entrance

The 2 bedroom appt was a bit cozy but still totally doable for a short weekend. - could use a shower caddy or shelf in the shower - in the extreme heat ( upper 90s), the bedrooms did get a little toasty during the day.

Straight across from the beach and public beach access... place to potty my two dogs... very easy parking... and access to conveniences for travel... very happy overall... I highly recommend for budget and pet travel and travel in general.

Wish check-out were at 11am vs 1030am, but minor inconvenience... property great in terms of staying with pets and location and clean with comfortable sleeping.

This is a cute little motel that was recently updated and very, very clean! The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed during our stay, including pots, pans and even dish washing soap and scrubbers. The rooms were perfect size for our family and each had a tv. The rooms were very quiet and the staff/owners were very friendly and accommodating. We very much enjoyed our stay and kept saying how we would definitely stay here in the future!

We knew going into our stay that the bathroom was going to be small. While you can't change the footprint of the bathroom, I would love to see a hand held shower sprayer. This would make it easier for all people, especially short people and those with families of kiddos. A cheap fix to improve the overall experience for customers.

The location to the public access and Jolly Roger's to name a few.

The kitchen sink dripped constantly. Walls were very thin so you could hear the neighboring room snore. The shower was very tiny. You lift your arms up to wash your hair and your elbows were touching the wall.

Drifting sands is the perfect location, with public access to the beach 3 houses down and just across the street. The staff was extremely friendly and met all expectations. I could not have asked for a better experience.

It was a nice clean motel apartment type of accommodation with two very small bedrooms and one also very small toilet/shower room. There was also a kitchen/living/dining space, not very well equipped and with a condition to clean all dishes at the check-out, otherwise there would be an additional charge. We also used the sofa-bed in the living area. The area is safe, 2 minutes walk from the beach, and a nice restaurant near by for breakfast. We didn’t even see any staff members on site, only communicated with one person over the phone at check-in. The beach is a quiet place far from commercial activities and we liked it a lot. We understood that there is no grocery store in the neighborhood.

Everything was ok, we stayed only for one night.
