The checkin girl was awesome, very friendly, she upgraded me because a room was ready, she was very friendly and helpful, the room was very nice, only couple small things missed, coffee pot hadn’t been emptied, front of microwave had a lot smudges, something on bathroom floor by commode, but rest of room was very clean, bed was harder then I prefer but everyone is different, I love the easy access to beach and can go right up to room for lunch and right back to beach, breakfast was very good, sausage gravy, biscuits, eggs, pancakes, coffee , juices, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, all staff was friendly, this is my third or fourth time at this hotel , first since it changed hands, guy at desk told me next year they were replacing flooring and furniture, I was very satisfied with my stay and will return again !!

Can’t say anything that I didn’t like

We loved being able to look out to the ocean. Pool was great.

The breakfast was very repetitive sausage links, sausage patties everyday and folded egg wash. Milk and juices were in a large pitcher, we stayed from Thurs- Mon. Sat. & Sunday they had biscuits and gravy which were delicious just wish they had a more variety and milk cartons, yogurts. They had pancakes available one of the days as well. The room was very hot they replaced the unit but it was very uncomfortable still even at night it was very warm in the room not sure why. Overall it was a good stay just bring a fan, and if your not a fan of sausage, fruit loops, or raisin bran bring your own breakfast unless its the weekend lol.

The rooms was big and spacious, views of the ocean were beyond gorgeous! We had to check in pretty late and the woman who checked us in was upbeat, very pleasant and very helpful. Usually when you get a late night staff person while checking in somewhere, they seem exhausted and un-interested, this was not the case here. The following morning the 3 of us pulled up chairs to the giant windows they have and watched the sunrise....it was gorgeous! After that we went down for breakfast. The breakfast was great and the staff tending to breakfast was very pleasant. We then changed and headed to the beach. The beach was not over crowded, it was truly a perfect time. The bathroom itself could use a little update but for the price we paid for a beachfront room....we really didn't mind the wobbling toilet. Check out was easy and once again, the staff at checkout was so friendly and very informative. This was a last minute trip to attend a memorial service for a passed loved one, we honestly figured we would end up in a complete dump because we had to book at the last minute but we were terribly wrong. We stayed in room 316, 2 queen beds, kitchen, couch, 2 tvs. What made this even more lovely is that I was too excited to be on the beach and had a difficult time sleeping....as in I did not sleep at all lol. My mom and sister were able to sleep (each in their own queen bed) while I stepped into the living room/kitchen area and watched TV/lounged on the couch. I was able to do this without bothering either of them because they provide a door between the 2 spaces. We have book marked this particular spot for future vacations! Thank you all for being so wonderful and pleasant! Side note, they also gave us a couple bags when we asked for them so we could take the seashells home we collected. You made our stay memorable.

Location is by far the best part about this hotel. Right on the beach, right near shopping, Wright Brothers memorial, middle of OBX for ease of north or south travel, ocean views, etc. Breakfast was adequate, not great, but for short stays is fine. Rooms were clean which is always my #1 need in a hotel. Facilities were somewhat old/run down, and could use a little sprucing up, but A/C was super cold and the mini fridge was 50/50 freezer/fridge, awesome! Would recommend this hotel for anyone, but especially for short stays, was more than adequate.

Facilities were somewhat old/run down, and could use a little sprucing up, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Low noise from the road, overall good.

Room was nice size as we had a suite, beds were comfy, beach access was easy and great. Breakfast was good for being free. Seems they are working on this hotel since it has new management but still enjoyed the stay

Parking was tight, and our ac leaked into the carpet but room was nice and cool after coming back from the beach and pool. They were made aware of the issue and they fixed it towards the end of our stay. Didnt really bother me as it was just by the ac unit and we just stayed away from that area.

I loved the beach access! So close and literally steps from our room. We also enjoyed the ability to grill at the charcoal grills. This saved our party of 13 from having to wait a few hours to get seated at a restaurant. This allowed us to cookout and relax and that’s what we were there to do!

The room was very small! I think this is probably the smallest room I’ve stayed in. Luckily, we just used it to sleep (literally). The property is pretty outdated. At $250/night, I did expect it to be nicer and more up to date.

Everyone was super friendly and the room was SO NICE! We felt like we had our own little vacation house without it even being a house. Two bedrooms. One had two beds for the kids and one had one bed for dad and I. There was a kitchen with everything you need, a living, and a dining area. The pool was great for younger kids and older kids/adults. The beach was also super close.

Nothing! My only helpful hint is to make sure you wear shoes to the beach. The sand is super hot, we did not expect it to be so hot.

We were on the ocean, we only had to cross our parking lot to get on the beach. The staff was super helpful and friendly. There was a nice breakfast included. A pool we didn't use but it appeared to be clean and safe.

It was tricky opening the gate to pool. The outside shower didn't work (foot rinse did work). The parking spots were a tight fit....one bad parking job easily turned into 2 spots taken. Bathroom a little small.

Location was fab, breakfast was tasty, loved the room and used the heck out of the Adirondack chairs. My goal was rest and recharge after my industry's peak season and I was able to do just that.

The kitchen was awesome but I could've used a sponge, coffee filters, cutting board and paper towels. I ended up buying most of those things (not the cutting board).

You could tell it was older on the exterior but the rooms had been updated and were very nice for the price. Free breakfast was actually surprisingly good. If you are rich and expecting 5 stars this isn’t it but if you’re a regular family just looking for a great beach spot with clean rooms and nice staff for a great price, this is the place!

Pool was still kind of dated but clean and well cared for
