Sovana Inn

The manager of the property was very commited to the needs of travellers and placed an emphasis on cleanliness, comfort, and ensuring each unit was enhancing the guest experience. We were travelling home and the location was an easy on/off from the highway. Once again the manager effectively communicated tips about the amenities offered by the INN as well as the neighborhood businesses. We enjoyed a quiet, restful sleep in a comfortable bed. In the morning we had a craving for pancakes and walked a short distance to Roosters, a terrific family-run breakfast gem before continuing our drive home.

Parking was tight but the space available was adequate.

This place had the nicest staff - both Mario who checked me in, and the morning guy who saw me leaving at 7:20am...and he hurried over to tell me to come enjoy the breakfast before I left. They were both very welcoming. The rooms are small and it is an older building, but the owners have done a great job with trying to keep them fresh and inviting. The room was clean and nice.

I personally did not like the smell of the cleaning supplies used in the first room, and it was a very strong smell. I was moved to another room which did not have such a strong smell - and Mario was very accommodating and helpful in my request to move.

The cleanliness of the room was great. All the staff I spoke with were very helpful explaining the amenities of the property, ice, breakfast room, the water in the room for coffee. The breakfast was very nice with my favorites, bagels and coffee and a selection of other choices in a clean breakfast room with 2 lounge chairs and a TV. It was an older facility but the staff, room and breakfast were worth it. It is close to shopping, gas, banks and the freeway. I would recommend it and will stay the next time I come through Medford. Thanks for a memorable stay.

This is a great place to stay for one night. Room was clean and comfortable, ample size, front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. We stayed as we had a fight out of Medford at the end of our trip. The value for your money was in line. Hotel is close to many restaurants and shopping. Close to attractions as Medford is not a huge city and is easy to get around.

The hotel is an older building so you do have the older type shower hardware and not as many electrical outlets as newer buildings. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and the room was clean and the wall color was nice-not drab like you see in many older buildings.

I wasn’t able to stay at the property because of a no pets allowed policy. however the staff was incredibly understanding and did their best to see what they could do. later on when they saw that my reservation still there, they called me to see if I could get hold of the booking company to get a refund. I felt that the inn was concerned for me. I was able to get a refund from the booking company even though I thought it was a lost cause. even though I didn’t stay here im very grateful for this experience!

Our stay at Sovana Inn surpassed our expectations. The staff and owners went out of their way to direct and assist us with checking in, getting settled, and answering our questions. The rooms were very well kept and clean. We felt very safe there and the accommodations were very comfortable.

The area around the Sovana Inn is very urban, and the Inn itself is off a major intersection. However, although this may seem off putting, the accommodations themselves are worth the stay.

The people checking in and early morning staff are incredibly helpful and friendly; if we went to the local Mexican restaurant, they would have offered 10% off the restaurant bill when mentioning the motel. The whole place gives an air of 'no one really comes here' but it was fine for an overnight stay.

The facilities are a bit run down, and there didn't seem to be anyone else there (except strange people in the breakfast room-were they customers? were they homeless? Who knows!!) It was kind of creepy.

Front desk was amazing!! He definitely made us feel welcome and made sure we were satisfied, even late at night! Location was great! You have a little bit of everything around you. Room was a decent size for two people and clean. Breakfast was good for an Inn.

Bed was just a little uncomfortable. We had complimentary coffee, but no coffee machine…oops! Parking was a little tight, but it is a smaller Inn, so that’s expected.

Everything was great!! Great staff, clean room, continental breakfast was impressive (I've never seen one that stocked), it was quiet..we loved it! Definitely will stay again when we go back to visit. Front desk rep definitely made you feel comfortable ...Definitely recommend and will stay again in future. Looks just like pictures (we stayed at a different one and pics were very deceiving to reality of room! So disappointed) but this one was everything! Clean and reasonable and comfy..

Nothing really to dislike..maybe just the small parking lot but even they acknowledged it. And maybe pool, it had just closed for the season so we missed it....but nothing really to dislike tho

Great staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Great place to stay when you're traveling through and want an affordable place to stay. We didn't eat breakfast the next morning but we did stop at The Rooster which is right up the road and it was great.

It looks a little dated from the outside but don't let that fool you.
