Residence Inn Portland Downtown/RiverPlace

Jillian, and Judith at the front desk were amazing, and Louis in the kitchen staff was an angel! I missed breakfast (EVERYday) and Louis packed up some cereal and a muffin for me and made a fresh pot of coffee on the second day of my stay!!!! That is going above and beyond!!!!

Honestly I didn't like that i had to miss breakfast every single day of my extended stay because breakfast was offered too early for me and over so quickly. I know it's "free"-but that 'free' breakfast charge is built into the cost of my room-so it would be nice to have a different price for people who can not take part in the 'free' buffet. Also, the mini market was bare every single day that I was there. It had drinks-but i was not looking for drinks!

Good well appointed rooms. Breakfasts were good with a nice variety. We were assisting a relative with post surgical recovery. The staff was very helpful. The Portland street car system runs right past the hotel. A $5 day pass gets you on the whole transit system. Very good connections to shopping in the city center and medical offices along the waterfront. There is a cable car which goes to the hospital up on the hill just down the street. The waterfront park is pleasant. Uber and Lyft drivers are plentiful.

Newly remodeled rooms with a small outdoor patio area. Breakfast allows a good amount of choice. The location makes it easy to navigate the entire city with quick access to freeways and street cars. I have been a repeat customer of this hotel. The mini kitchens are extremely convenient for keeping any dine-out leftovers fresh and you are able to keep a few of your favorite items on hand. I will stay again. The gym was just enough. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable.

The breakfast was wonderful as was all of the staff. They were kind and helpful and Beautiful smiles. Really they are amazing and if it wasn’t for beautiful service people, Business would be lacking. The studio was great I slept like a purring kitten I wish I could of stayed longer.

The parking charges seem redundant when you’re already paying to stay here. I know other places around here charge as well. My parking was covered. I just noticed the sign when I got here and checked in.

Great location and comfortable rooms and beds. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had the two bedroom two bath room which had an excellent lay out and was perfect for us.

Breakfast was bad. The. coffee tasted like acid and the array of item and there quality was very poor. Save you self some trouble and eat at the River Cafe about 2 minutes walk. For about $12 you get a outstanding breakfast and y9ou will not need to eat again until dinner

I had booked another property two months ago, and received confirmation. When my family showed up, it wasn’t available. Booking.com apologized but little else. Our lodging cost $200 more than anticipated due to the booking problem, and we weren’t given any kind of incentive/compensation for a mistake that wasn’t ours. I doubt that I will trust booking.com for a lodging reservation again.

The location was awesome, walking distance to the riverfront, amazing restaurants, and 4th of July Fireworks. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was very kind and helpful.

A few amenities were not in our room upon arrival and we had to walk down to get them. Normally not a big deal, but one of the items was bedding for the pull out sofa and we were tired and just wanted to go to bed.

Great overnight spot on road trip! Comfy and quiet room, great location by the river for walking the dog, indoor parking (we needed it as it was rainy and we had a pick-up full of stuff), kitchen, restaurants close by and easy access to the highway. Our 6y old loved the pool, and I enjoyed the bridge view from the pool area. Good amount of options for breakfast, but I hope we can see less plastic there in the future (plastic cutlery in plastic wrapping etc). Easy check-in and check-out. Everything we needed.

we love that area! had fun on the scooters we were traveling with our 18yr old niece and loved the suite and kitchen I always wonder why hotels make suites that have bathrooms IN the bedroom so the other guest must walk into the room to go to the bathroom.

we were surprised by the 40$/day parking! breakfast had many choices but did not taste very good-maybe fewer items of better quality? w/less housekeeping, Please provide hooks for towels!

The room was comfy. I thought we would use the kitchen but instead we did take out. Altogether it was a great time with my family. Thank you.

The only down side is that they are under renovation. At 1 am I think it is a bit much to continue working while guests were trying to sleep. It wasn't till after 2 am when I went to sleep. By that time I did not care I was just so tired.
