Where to begin! We were wowed when we walked into the hotel. The décor and the furnishings were amazing. The staff exceeded our expectations well beyond what we have experienced in many other 4 and 5 star hotels. Breakfast was good and the wine & cheese evening was a great bonus. Our room was comfortable, tidy and well equipped.

I really can't think of anything - this was an exceptional stay!

The staff was helpful and the additional amenities such as the wine and cheese and breakfast made the stay memorable. We will be making a yearly stay here.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The location is great and the room was excellent. We loved the complimentary charcuterie and the wine. Molly was a welcoming host, and Abigail gave us a great history tour of the building. We will definitely come back!

The staff, especially Abby the manager, and Molly the concierge, were outstanding. Very welcoming and always went the extra mile to make your stay as great as possible. The wonderful appetizers and wine on the veranda where you could sit in comfy chairs and watch the happenings in the park and see the bay in the distance was just a lovely-and delicious- relaxing time. The mansion is an historic property that has gone through remarkable restoration. A tour of the mansion is included at a time that is convenient for guests.

The Mansion was beautiful. Abby ,the manager went out of her way to make sure our stay was amazing,and it was. Ryan checked us in, and was always available for anything we needed, at all times. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful. It really felt like we were family during our stay there. My wife and I are definitely returning to 20 South Battery. Thank you Abby and Ryan. I sincerely hope the Inn's owner knows and appreciates, that you both go above and beyond for your guests. Thank you. Richard M.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at 20 South Battery. The tremendous hospitality provided by the staff combined with historic nature of the property and amazing views from the front porch made this a trip we will remember for life. Complimentary wine and cheese on the porch every evening and the late night Amaretto night cap just added to the ambiance created by the on site staff. Don't forget to get a quick tour of this historic mansion which has been lovingly restored!

Breakfast was excellent with multiple choices every morning. I also appreciate that we were able to have breakfast delivered to our room. Staff members were very friendly and accommodating. You cannot beat the location, and the property is truly lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip!

Since it is a “bed and breakfast” by definition, we were surprised to see the limited options. Breakfast was more fast food/takeout (Charleston version). Presented with lovely flatware and napkins, delivered by gracious staff. The daily happy hour is a great way to meet other guests and we enjoyed it very much.

Surprisingly, the mansion (ballroom specifically) seemed to be outfitted with a combination of furniture that was just collected and placed in the room with no design plan. It didn’t feel luxurious or elegant and made me wonder what other mansions in the area were like. When you walk into a mansion ballroom, you should feel like you are in a special place.

The place was great. Over all, the staff was very accomadating. The location was perfect for our wedding at the gazebo. It was a pleasurable stay. The staff was amazing, very kind.

A little over priced. There were some cob webs in the room, and one of the robes were dirty. I did forget to the staff about the robe. The other only thing that was a little "off putting" was the rules about friends visiting. I may have misinterpreted but I felt like I wasn't allowed to have a friend visit or come on to the property.

Spent two amazing nights at 20 South Battery. It was a really cool experience. I absolutely loved the house and the history. It was very quiet and cozy. Our room had a huge private porch that made the experience even better. Cannot wait to go back when the weather is warmer.

The area at night was so quiet that it seemed a little scary, but it was probably all in my head.
