SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charleston Mount Pleasant

Very nice stay. Breakfast was good. Clean hotel. Beds were comfy, and the staff were very nice.

I only gave a 9 because the pool isn't a pool it's more like a jacuzzi at any other hotel. In a city with this high humidity, where travelers will want to find relief from the heat upon arrival; you need a larger pool. I stayed there because you had a pool only to be disappointed by the size. No one wants to take a dip when 5 people make it a crowd. Also, afternoon nap was interrupted by construction in the building, but it stopped pretty quickly. Repairs are sometimes unavoidable.

Location was great for our needs. Hotel surfaces were very clean with the exception of carpets which were in need of repair and a good cleaning in hallways. Carpet in our room also needed a good cleaning.

The “year round” swimming pool. Water was green and cold so I would not use. Carpet in our room needed a good cleaning or replaced. Our room had a musty smell but after running the air conditioner for a while the smell disappeared and was fine the rest of our stay. I think it had to do with the outside air that was a little funky the first evening we were there.

Everything went well from check-in to check-out. The breakfast hours were also accommodating to sleeping in late as well. Every interaction with staff was pleasant and helpful. There were no complaints or concerns regarding our visit. This will definitely be our new accommodation site for our annual beach trip.

Everything was great; breakfast, size of room was awesome! It was outstandingly large, exceptional as hotel rooms go! We were most pleased with the location of this hotel as we had booked a visit to Boone Plantation nearby. We also loved the location in Mt. Pleasant. Not far from, but still very accessible to the Historic area! Much better (free) parking experience.

The only thing missing was the cleanup and making of beds in our room during our two day stay. Understandably, due to Covid, we didn't have a cleanup of our room and had to get towels from the desk, make our own beds. Would definitely stay here again when we are out of this pandemic situation. I believe that there are fewer employees willing to work these days, so there is more than likely a minimal staff!

Room was Clean and Spacious. Beds were Comfy. Bathroom was larger than most other hotels, also we had a separate walk-in closet. Enjoyed the sitting area with convenient Coffee, Microwave, and Refrigerator. Breakfast varied each day but was hot and convenient. Location was great and easy to drive over to downtown Charleston.

Items at the Concession were pricey.

The rooms and overall hotel was very clean, super nice staff! "front desk and the breakfast staff". I loved the fact that you had to use your door keys to access the elevators to get past the 2nd floor. VERY SMART AND SAFE!!! I will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The only complaint was the housekeeper! I asked for 2 towels and 2 wash towels and she acted as if I was getting on her nerves. It was 2 Hispanic ladies, but only one of them had the attitude. Other than that the stay was excellent and I would stay again.

An overall great experience and easy access to historical Charleston, the purpose of our trip. Reception told us exactly how to get there. The breakfast was beyond our expectation and included in the room price. The room had a sofa, a separate coffee bar from the sleeping area and a great work desk. Free parking was also a bonus.

Breakfast could have used a few additions. Whipped cream and canned fruit for waffles. English muffins, bagels and cream cheese and some hash browns would have been perfect. What we had was good, but needed a little more variety.

The staff was very cordial and helpful......they really knew Charleston. Since it rained a lot of the time both days we were there, they were really good about directing us toward more indoor things to do. Room was clean, beds were great, lots of restaurants right there in the area, even if you don't make the drive into downtown Charleston.

I wish they would have made it stop raining!

Good bed, since I have a bad back

The layout of this tiny room was a bit claustrophobic. Getting the cart in and out of the room was difficult. To roll it over to the closet caused even more trouble, since I have to turn toward the door, on the way back. In both my written notes and at the desk (verbally), I asked for a room, up high on the quiet side (away from the parking lot), and not near an elevator. I got up high (6th floor). But, was in room next to elevator and on parking, street and pool side. Fortunately, the access road was quiet, and the structure was very soundproof.
