Location was fantastic!

The bathroom needed the walls wiped down. The walls were dirty in the bathroom.

We loved the view from the balcony. We had a refrigerator and microwave in our room. We had access to stores and restaurants. The staff was great. I am handicapped, they made our accommodations comfortable for me to be mobile and enjoy our stay completely. The food and drinks at the bar was awesome. We look forward to our next stay. Thank you all at the Shem Creek Inn for making our stay great and memorable.

The hotel is smaller, calmer, but the rooms are spacious and everything is new! It is a fantastic stay of you are looking for a central location between Charleston and Sullivan’s Island.

The pool area does seem to get a little more crowded with non-guests on Saturdays.

Great Location, can walk to all the restaurants. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool area was awesome and relaxing.

The price for this hotel was very expensive for the time of year. We were there after Labor Day.

Parking was stressful — and a couple of nights there was nothing available in the lot. We had to drive around and wait for the surrounding restaurants to close in order to get parking.

We were creek side so we very much enjoyed watching the boats and fishermen come in! The staff was so helpful and very nice! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We were here for our 41st Anniversary and it was the most relaxing vacation we have been on!

Beautiful beach styled hotel. Best location. Nice views. Dolphins directly in front of the Hotel. Such a lovely place.

Unfortunately the breakfast was plastic packed take away only. Terrible

Close to several good restaurants and stores! Just a quick ride to downtown. Reception was very friendly. Aside from the obvious of safety and cleanliness, I judge a hotel room by the comfort of the bed and the quality of the shower. I have to give Shem Creek a 10 for both.

Loved the property but there was no housekeeping during the weekend for people staying only 2 days.

Location and pool was amazing. When we arrived, there was plastic cutlery at the door of our room. Once inside, there was someone’s hair rubber bands in the shower, old beer cans full of ashes on the balcony and other items that made you wonder all weekend, what had and had not been cleaned. Not a good feeling for $350 a night. Beds were really uncomfortable. I had the mindset that because of the location and price that the standard would be higher. I was disappointed. Staff was nice and helpful. Hate to judge the place on a cleaning person’s job performance but first impressions are hard to change. Would I go back, yes but with a backup plan in place.

Sheem Creek Inn has been our special plays for years. Great location, views and comfort.

Need a comfortable chair in the room. Sliding door would not lock. Hotel employee came in to show how it locked but it would not.
