The cottage was very nice we had a view overlooking the back patio, there was a stream of water to fish and enjoy sitting by the campfire or grilling on the grill. We had a hot tub in our room which was very relaxing.

We loved it all. Very nice kitchen with stove and refrigerator, kitchen has silverware and pots and pans and coffee pot and even wine glasses. We loved the area even has a swimming pool for you to relax in.

We enjoyed the nostalgia of staying in an older mountain resort- almost like camp! The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The access to the creek with seating was relaxing. The walk to downtown was not difficult.

The property could use some updating.

My son and I enjoyed the balcony facing the river. We sat out there every night after a long day. It was peaceful and relaxing. The location was perfect because it's right on the outskirts of downtown, so it's far enough away from people and noise, but not so far that you can't walk downtown.

I felt a little bamboozled when my son and I arrived at our room. It was nice enough, but compared to the multiple photos posted on the website of all the other rooms, that appeared much nicer, we felt disappointed, especially considering the room we had was not posted on the website at all. The floors (while I appreciate non-carpet) were dirty upon arrival, so we were sure to keep our shoes on while we were in there. There were questionable splatters on the walls near the trash cans that could have at least been attempted to be washed off. The tub/shower was clearly broken and one of the valve parts was sitting on the corner of the tub leading to the faucet leak and leave rust stains in the tub.

It is older hotel but a diamond in the rough. We love having the campfire and grill. The sound of the river out back is amazing if you like the outdoors. It is a hotel you can just stay on the grounds swim, hang out, and chill.

We are not picky we love going there. It is a older hotel staff is friendly we try to go back when we can.

Absolutely loved the cleanliness and comfort of our stay. The rooms were large and I didn’t feel the need to Lysol everything before I sat down. It was well lit (a weird thing to notice - but I loved the brightness in the room) and I loved how tall the ceilings were.

Maybe temperature set in room? There honestly wasn’t much of anything that I can write of that was bad. So if I’m stretching, the AC was set a pretty high when we got there. That’s all I got. It was a wonderful visit.

Walking distance to lots of things to do, but not in the middle of all the action. Sounds of the river out the window.

The constant stomping of the kids above us. It was still ok because its just a family enjoying time together.

Great location. Close to everything you could want to do. Nice rooms, very clean with a rear and front door. And, as an added bonus, I was right next to the creek and it was so nice to sit outside at night and listen to the running water.

My ONLY complaint is with regards to the in-room coffee. You are given 2 packages of one-cup coffee bags (similar to tea bags) when you check in, and that's it. Additional bags are sold in the lobby at a cost of 1.50 each (which is rather expensive, IMO) I went to a local Dollar General Store and bought a box of Folger's one-cup singles, which was fine, and, they do provide free coffee in the office for free from 7:oo to 11:00, but, the grounds are rather spread out and it would have been quite the hike, in the rain, to get coffee as I had no vehicle since I rode with my family from Nashville.

Clean with good location. Walkable to quite a few places and close to free tram stop. Cottage was clean and roomy. The kitchenette was good and well equipped for what we needed, but could have used a measuring cup. The stream outside covered all but the loudest traffic noise, so we were able to spend a lot of time on the balcony. . It had a gas fireplace, but we were there in summer, would be wonderfully cozy in the cold.

Furnishings were dated, but still in good condition and comfortable. Honestly made it seem like it was a family cabin, so it wasn't a bad experience, but if you are expecting new and shiny, you'll be disappointed. Could have used a dishwasher in the kitchenette, but it wasn't really necessary. .

We really liked being out of the noise and chaos of Gatlinburg but not being too far away. We did walk back from dinner due to the trolley schedule and it was fine. We really liked the creek running through for some ambient noise and relaxing vibe. We appreciated the good hot water and working AC in the room. The bed was also good.

The bathroom fan was too noisy and didn't really do anything. You were always forced to have it on with the light. We didn't like that. Also, the AC was older and very noisy, even on Low. It did cool the room extremely well and didn't cycle poorly like other hotels we've been in. But the loud aspects took away from relaxation.
