Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Williamsburg

Very nice place! Bar/food located right beside the pool. Live music. My boyfriend did not like a special drink from the bar, and they took it off our total. The staff was VERY FRIENDLY!! The bathroom was a good size! Very close to busch gardens and water country.

The only thing that really upset us is that no one ever cleaned our room or brought us new towels/wash cloths. We even called about it and daniel said “we will have someone come up and bring you some right now”, and they never came! I luckily saw a cleaning cart in the hallway the next day and took some towels off. Also no microwave, but they provided one on the lobby.

Location was great - one block away from Bush Gardens! Close to the stores and restaurants but off of the main road. The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The outdoor pool was great and open late! The warm, welcome cookies that were provided to us at check-in were a delightful treat after getting drenched at Bush Gardens! I forgot to take pics of the hotel, but it was nice.

It was a long walk to the room after getting off of the elevator- we had to walk down several hallways, which was ok for us but could be an issue for some people.

The things I enjoyed most about this hotel was the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, spaciousness, and the fact that they had an arcade! I typically only hope that the hotel has a decent gym, which they also did. But you even get delicious warm cookies as soon as you check in which was a great surprise. I would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint is that there was no microwave in my room. However, that wasn’t a terrible downfall because I soon realized there was a microwave at the end of the hallway my room was on.

Paying for overnight parking $10/night - Over $400 for two-night stay and they hit you for parking.

Breakfast was great

Didn’t understand why parking was not free for the guest. A hot tub was missing. Pool was good. Kind of thought I signed up for a room with a couch so we could have chilled out together. But overall it was a good short stay. Customer service was good and facility was clean that’s my top priority.

The room was nice, bathroom a little small but clean. The distance to walk to the room was far but it was very quiet.

I did not like that I was charged $10 extra for parking. It should have been included in the price. I should have known it ahead of booking. I would like to have had the option of breakfast included.

I only stayed for two nights, but it was a very pleasant experience. I always trying to book my stays at DoubleTree if I can. They haven't disappointed me yet.

I didn't like that the whole floor had to share a microwave, very inconvenient to walk from one end of the hall to the other end just for a microwave.

The room was clean and spacious for our family of five. They also appreciated the fresh baked cookie at check in.

We found the breakfast buffet to be the weak link. The scrambled eggs were bland and french toast was dry and stiff. The syrup didn't help. For the price to pay for breakfast, we decided to go the McDonalds down the road. The breakfast experience was consistent with reviews my wife found in online chat groups.

Hotel is very clean, rooms are a good size and comfortable. There's a mini fridge and safe and each floor has a microwave for guests to use. Large indoor and outdoor pool and Close to Busch Gardens. Would absolutely be my 1st choice for accommodation next time I'm in Williamsburg.

House keeping knocking on our door at 8:00am asking if we knew what time we were checking out, (we were actually staying another night).

The hotel and the room were all very clean, the Starbucks coffee was fresh and the bar was great. The food was also good. The restaurant staff were all awesome and friendly. The bedding was comfortable. Overall the hotel was spacious and clean.

The bathroom could use a little help. It was quite small and a little hard to get around if you need to assist younger children. The flooring could use an upgrade in the bathroom due to some chips and cracks. The lighting in room itself could be brighter and the carpeting could use an upgrade.
