Sleep Inn Historic Williamsburg

The front desk clerk was one of best I've ever encountered! He made us feel welcome immediately and had such a friendly attitude. I travel often and this guy was exceptional. The room is what you'd expect -- perfectly adequate and comfortable for the price you pay. The location is off a main road, along with a lot of other similar hotels. So, not incredibly charming, but close to downtown Williamsburg (by car). Parking is free, in a lot right next to the hotel. If downtown Williamsburg is all booked up (our visit overlapped with Parents Weekend at William and Mary) and you can't get into a single restaurant (!), there are a lot of options near Sleep Inn.

The most professional staff I've ever encountered at a non-high-end hotel! Super impressed by everyone who served at the front desk and especially the employee, Lanai, who served the breakfast area. She went over and beyond in her assistance and maintained a positive and welcoming attitude. We had an issue or two with our room, but they responded promptly and their overall professionalism made up for any negative issues. Wish all hotel staff was as professional and hospitable as they are!

Couple issues with the room - bit wouldn't sway me from returning or recommending.

The indoor pool was quite large and a perfect temperature ( a wall clock in the room would have been a plus). The breakfast had freshly made scrambled eggs and sausages, not prefab and pretty good orange juice as well as a good selection of fresh fruit. The desk chair in my room wasn't working properly when I checked in, but by the time I had returned from my swim had been replaced with one that was fine. Staff at desk always said good morning and when I returned in PM asked how my day had been.

The hall ways are drab, the carpeting looks old and grubby.

Friendly staff, clean accommodations, quiet hotel, nice Outside and inside, Felt peaceful and safe there, plenty Of room for my family of 4, really worth the money.

The only complaint I have is that when we decided to use the microwave, there was a plate of food already in the microwave. I don't know if it was from the previous guest or what, but that was not so pleasing. The staff at the hotel quickly clean this up

Very friendly front desk staff. Very good breakfast: there was a variety of hot and cold drinks, rolls and fruit. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom cleanliness was perfect.

A funny smell in the carpet. Corridor light enters through the door frame. The coffee maker was dirty (it had a used coffee bag).

Location was good - a short drive from Historic Williamsburg, lot of eating options in walkable distance. Convenient parking. TV had many channels. Beds were comfy. Shower had very good water pressure. Breakfast had many options.

The room had unpleasant stale/moist smell. Room needed to be aired.

Breakfast was wonderful. Nice variety.Well stocked.

We had a light bulb that wasn't working.

We had an outstanding stay at Sleep Inn! The bed was so comfortable and a welcome sleep was assured after long days at the nearby parks. The hospitality refresh of our rooms was much appreciated and it was like we were coming back to a newly cleaned room each night. The breakfast was great! There was a wide variety, including waffle maker, eggs, sausage, cereal, pastries, yogurt, toast, etc. We were happy with the location and the entire stay!

The indoor pool was hot and stuffy for humid summer days. We ended up not using it, but that wasn't a big loss and it is probably good for winter visits.

Everything was awesome. We had an excellent stay and were pleased with our stay. The rooms were great and very comfortable with the exception of the beds. They were a little stiff but manageable. The breakfast was plentiful with great options. It was real breakfast options and not just continental breakfast. Real eggs and meat as well as waffles, bagels, cereal, and yogurt. Plenty of juices too. The pool was indoors and pleasant. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on various places to visit in the area. The rooms were very spacious too.

Only the beds were a little stiff and lumpy but still manageable to sleep in.

The highlight: the service at the front desk! There was an absolutely helpful and friendly person. I don't remember the name, I think it was Michael. This person did a job herself because there was no staff available when I required it. I really appreciate that he took the time to do it. For this alone I will stay again on my next visit to Williamsburg. The bathroom was quite clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was in perfect condition (clean and soft)

The heavy curtain could be a little bigger to cover the window well and have total darkness. But it is a minor detail.
