The hotel and restaurant were very stylish and hip.

I didn't like the expensive daily parking. I was also charged fees that I was unaware of such as a daily parking tax, a destination fee and a daily destination fee tax of 14.95%. I'm not sure what constitutes a destination fee but this seems absurd and should be explained prior to booking. The total cost increased drastically due to fees I was unaware of at booking.

The location of the hotel was literally perfect! We travelled to DC to see the historical sites and everything was literally under 10 minutes from the hotel. The facilities at the hotel like the restaurant, cafe, lounge and gym were exactly what we wanted. The food at the restaurant and cafe were surprisingly GREAT! Upon check in, Marta at the front desk was kind enough to give us 2 dinner vouchers and cookies personally hand delivered to our room when she found out it was my wifes birthday!! She also offered us an upgrade on our room for an additional $25 per night with a "city view" which just happened to be what looked like a newly built apartment building and a court yard. This was a little disappointing but the room was still very nice. The vibes in the hotel are on point! I loved everything about my stay and will definitely return in the future!

My only complaint is our room was too hot. We turned the heat down and then turned it off completely on the thermostat on the wall in our room but the temperature didnt go below 70 degrees in the room and the temperature outside was 50 degrees! We called the front desk who sent a technician to our room pretty quickly. He came in and played around with the thermostat on the wall as well as adjust the settings on the actual AC unit. The temperature went down approx 3 degrees after he left and then eventually climbed up to 71 degrees where it stayed for our whole stay. And there are no windows to open for some air.

The best thing was the upbeat, positive, joyful American music in the lounge. It always made for a fantastic atmosphere. Fantastic location: super close to Georgetown and the National Mall. Great Bagel and sandwich restaurant inside the hotel and great café across the street. Very cozy lounge to eat, meet friends, and relax. There is a hairdresser (which I didn’t use) and a small good gym with the essentials (which I did use). Great naturally-flavored water and delicious cookies at the reception - please keep that!

Had forgotten an adapter for the US, would be nice if they had a couple for lending out at the reception. (Though the available USB charging ports in the room saved me.)

Great location, great vibe! Love the bar and lobby area with the bagel place attached! Staff was great! So much fun to take the record player and albums up to our room. The bed was comfortable and we liked the cement floor with the area rug and the overall modern vibe. Shelves and places for suitcases were plentiful!

The bathroom could be better thought out. There weren't any towel bars and the glass shower partition was a bit small, water always splattered on the floor and drenched the shower mat. Also, our bathroom door was very tricky. Several times, I felt as though I was locked in and couldn't get out which made me a bit panicky. Thankfully, my husband could open the door from the other side. After that, we just never shut the door completely.

Really nice staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. The reception area is large and looks good. The rooms had very good accessories - hair drier, shampoo, body gel, etc. We liked the shower very much. The hotel location is very good, we could go to the sights on foot. We had no breakfast, but there is a bagel shop in the hotel - maybe the best bagel shop in the city. I had the best salmon bagel of my life here. Close to the hotel there are other good restaurants as well. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

We liked everything, we can only recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect. It was in the heart of DC within walking distance of all the attractions. The staff was so friendly and helpful; great people.

The only complaint we had was the shower. The shower has no door just a piece of glass that is not big enough to keep the water in the actual shower. The bathroom floor floods with water from the shower so you walk out to a flooded floor. Also it allows in all the air so it's very cold in the shower. Its a very poor design that was not thought through.

Not only was the hotel beautiful with the modern-bohemian decor, the staff was so courteous, welcoming me right when I arrived, during check-in and check-out, and also during my stay. The location was great; walking distance to hotspots and local transportation. The amenities at the hotel were great too: the two restaurants downstairs were delicious, the barber shop, record shop and spa/gym were so convenient. I wished I had stayed longer so I could experience all the amenities and check out the neighborhood more.

There was nothing to like.

Location was perfect, hotel and room design and aesthetics were beautiful and very designer like. The lobby was always lively which is great! The beds were extremely comfortable.

No breakfast although a couple of excellent breakfast spots right under the hotel. Room/lobby table cleanliness was an issue, most tables would stay dirty with food packages/crumbs for over an hour. The room didn’t look clean when we checked in, dust on the bedside lamp, some dirt behind the desk. The toilet bin wasn’t removed during house keeping one day during our stay. Zero toiletries like cotton swabs. The inner court is where the outdoor chillers are installed so there was a constant loud humming throughout the night which wasn’t the most comfortable for sleep.

The team at reception was absolutely fabulous for the quality of their service and warm welcome every day! A special thanks to Yash, who went over and beyond so we may add an extra day to our visit without changing our room, and Roger and Benny! The hotel and room were beautiful with a great chic, modern vibe that we loved. Food at Mercy Me was delicious and Valentino at the bar provided us with great conversation and entertainment! We loved our stay and we'll be returning. The king bed was confortable and the pillows heavenly! The hotel is near the Dupont Circle, which is a nice location, but a good 30 minutes walk away from the White House/BIG Tour Bus stop, which will link you to all the majors attractions.

When booking it was confirmed that our room had a refrigerator. In fact it's an ice box... which is not really useful, since you may not safely conserve any food nor medication. This important element should be clarified on their website to avoid frustration. We would also suggest to add a hanger/pole for a hand towel! The bathroom mirror is beautiful, but for shorter person like me 5'4'' the cabinet is high and large, so I couldn't see up close for makeup time! The parking rate at 60$/night is not reasonable. This policy should be revised, since there is more affordable offert very very close by - we found 45$ for 3 nights...

I have stayed in this property many times over the last 15 years because it is conveniently located for my work. And it has been run by different operators under different brands. The current renovation has made it much more modern and cool than before. I certainly like eth design and had no issue with the lack of door on the shower that some customers have been complaining. The bed is super comfortable. The common area and the bar and restaurant are nice. The coffee that Illy used to serve there was better than the current vendor but it does not mean the coffee is bad.

Where things have changed is in the service. While I used to be greeted before by people that remembered me and I felt at home now the feeling was as if I staff had always something more important then my question. The air-conditioner is had to regulate but this has always been the problem with this hotel and apparently the new owner has not upgraded it. I also did not like the fact that they do not offer breakfast.
