Almare Tourist Motel

Lovely pet-friendly accommodation, the only things that were missing were: no wardrobe to hang clothes ( we had dresses, etc, ) to hang, no dinner plates for food. The table in the center of the room was big and cumbersome, had to wash up cups, etc in the bathroom sink. Would have loved a sink in the main area, not comfortable about washing crockery in the bathroom sink. On a lighter note, the owners were fantastic, our little poodle played with the children in the play area, very safe, even though on a busy main road.

No wardrobe to hang things, large table in the room, took up too much room.

Room was nicely decorated and clean. Great friendly service. Well equipped kitchenette, free unlimited wifi. Lot's of accessible power points for charging phones etc. A tall tap over the sink made filling the kettle & washing dishes easy. Great water pressure in the shower.

The only downside at the time was the roadworks directly in front of the motel. It made access by car a little bit difficult, but once the road is finished there wouldn't be an issue.

I loved that we could have our two fur babies with us. I loved that it was quiet and friendly. I loved how close it was to the CBD, beaches and dog walking areas.i loved how accommodating and friendly the staff were but also respecting of our privacy. Just because that's the type of family we are.

For the price and being dog friendly I have nothing negative to say. Especially we traveled during a time were there was a recent flood crisis so accommodation was tricky to find especially with two dogs on relatively short notice. I'd definitely stay there again.

just stopped by on a road trip from Canberra to Brisbane, for a cheap, last minute booking this Motel was far beyond our expectations. the room was cleaner and of higher quality than some Hotels in CBDs we’ve stayed in, the staff were lovely, the room and bed were super comfortable and a 10 minute walk into the pub for dinner 🙌🏼 Cannot recommend enough

We spent 4 nights here while in Ballina. Our room (No 12) had a nice view onto the back garden where we could watch the chickens peck away at the garden. The room was very clean and tidy and well serviced and of a good size.

The only negative was that the sliding door into the bathroom had a broken track (missing most of the ball bearings) and wouldn't slide. I found one ball bearing on the track and did a bit of a repair so that it had some sliding motion.

The facilities were clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. My single bed was really nice to sleep in for my overnight stay. I didn't have breakfast due to time constraints, but it was set up very nicely and looked like good value for money. Thanks

Very nice and having the hotel was a great advantage. Not familiar with the area it was great to have the comfort of the fire to warm the atmosphere up.Will be back again in the near future.

Having to go outside to the front door to get to our room. Unusual for a motel to have to walk around the outside as I don’t think,it very safe at night time.

the staff were friendly. the room was clean and comfortable. parking was ideal - right out the front of my room. overall the motel and grounds were inviting and was perfect for the night we stayed to break up a long trip.

just being picky because there was nothing I didn’t like - while the room had everything we needed and was comfortable the bathroom could do with a update.

The bed was really comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet considering its location on the a main road. And it's within an earshot of everything.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom at night, but you can kind of expect that being so close to a river.

Being pet friendly was a godsend as we were traveling with our two fur babies. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for us and our pups. The location is really convenient and easy to find and the lovely gentleman in the office could not have been more friendly and helpful.
