Ballina Palms Boutique Motel

Ballina Palms Motel have certainly gone that extra mile to supply little quality extras that you wouldn’t usually expect in a motel. Bath Robes, Tea/Coffee & biscuits with fresh milk, lovely bathroom amenities including make up remover & make up mirrors. We were impressed with the attention to detail to make our stay comfortable and the vending machine was a bonus.

Sadly we didn’t end up with the room we had booked but the management were sympathetic to our plight however they were fully booked so weren’t able to fix it but they have offered us a slight discount on our room. There is a busy road beside the motel that effects some rooms.

Andre and his family run a lovely little boutique motel, with about 9 rooms. The room we stayed in was a studio-style apartment suitable for two people. It was well equipped with bar fridge, microwave, a well stocked kitchen, and nice bathroom. Air conditioning works well, and it was well furnished with a sofa, queen bed and small kitchen table for two. There was a small but nice lagoon style pool adjacent to the BBQ area, with some outdoor seats. Onsite parking in front of the apartment, and washing facilities onsite as needed. Ballina Palms is in a very convenient location along the North Creek Inlet, just a short drive to the town centre and nearby surf beaches or bay.

The wi-fi wasn't the best while we were there, and we often resorted to using our phones to hotspot. Due to COVID there was no turn down service during our 6 night stay, however the staff were happy to provide fresh toiletries and free washing services during our stay instead.

Great location, room clean and a decent size.

Reported to manager the bathroom had a faulty door handle, unable to lock it, difficult to open, it wasn't that the door had dropped, the actual handle needed to be replaced. He said he would look at it. Put up with it for the two days we stayed. Amongst the tourist brochures was the invoice for the previous occupant, nice to have the brochures though. Had to go to office to ask for dishwashing liquid and tea towel as they were missing from room.

The room was nicely decorated and having a kitchenette is a great bonus for a 3 day stay. The Wifi worked really well, something we really appreciated.

The car park is tightly packed and due to having to park nose to curb, quite difficult to exit from when you are in a corner park. I usually enjoy reading Motel compendiums, however this one was not welcoming or friendly, it was basically a list of rules that if broken would result in you having to pay quite steep penalties.

Very good accommodation that had everything I needed; nice, spacious rooms that were spotlessly clean and I really liked the layout of the lounge and kitchen. It's located in a really quiet area too, and I had a really restful night's sleep here. The kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped and I didn't want for anything. I didn't use them during my stay, but the pool and lounge areas looked pretty good as well.

A minor quibble, but the walls seemed a bit thin and I could hear a lot of the conversation going on in the next room. Other than that, my stay was perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The location isn’t too far from shops but also not that close for a quick walk. You really need a car and have to walk everywhere as Ballina has not very good public transport.

Also there is nowhere to buy coffee or food close by. It would be good if they provided room service for things like a simple breakfast

I liked the communication on the day we were due to arrive. Nancye txt with room/key details. It was very Clear and informative, and flexible. Nancye agreed to meet me on my arrival so I could use my NSW Stay voucher even though they are practising contactless check in. The property offers a pleasant surprise when you park and enter your room. The outdoor sitting area is welcoming and so much attention to creating a theme is evident. This motel is the cleanest we have stayed in. The bathroom had a vanity with room to put toiletry bags etc on shelves below the vanity. White bathrobes were also provided. The kitchenette was bonus as we could have breakfast with our own food supplies. Tea/coffee and small milk provided as is usual. The motel is in a quiet location and a short drive to shops/restaurants. This is where we will stay again when passing through Ballina. Thank you Nancye.

We liked everything. The bed was firm but suited us.

A beautiful large room with Balinese influences giving it an extra special touch. Every little detail was carefully provided for from quality coffee, tea, bathroom soap etc, real milk, jug, toaster, fry pan, cutlery, crockery etc. The four poster bed was complete with pristine white cover, gorgeous plump pillows and cushions, soft throw rug and excellent table, chairs, sofa - the list goes on. Highly recommended. The pool and Balinese outdoor areas added to the special feel.

Peaceful and Balinese theme was lovely. Great location by North Creek, scenic walks by the water nearby. Room was well appointed with decent comfortable chairs, useful kitchen for meals in, and a great shower. Short drive to most places in town, local beaches etc. Staff were unobtrusive and friendly. Easy parking. Pleasant pool and outdoor shared spaces for guests.

The rooms were clean and fresh and spacious, great big kitchen with so many added bonuses, hot choc, coffee and tea.. and the bathroom was great and clean, also with many products available... Makeup remover, soaps, conditioners, personal items. stayed for 1 night, family of 4, we just brought a portacot. Close to everything and liked that there was a pool, just a bit cold to jump in when we were there .. Would definitely stay again :-)
