Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Ballina Byron

a little disappointed the room didn't really have a view of the pool as unfortunately the vegetation was blocking any view of the pool or outside area. Given that factor the room could possibly have been offered cheaper for much happier guests. This room was offered during the booking process as 'a better room' and came with a dearer price. I think i would have been happier with a river view room as I had originally planned to book.

the pillows were too hard for my comfort and unfortunately all were the same. No outside view. Doors slammed very loudly and echoed into other rooms.

Access of gate to verandah on ground floor was locked and was not able to get a key which would have been nice to access our push bikes via this gate. However I do understand for security reason so it wasn’t an issue. The staff explained this very well and was apologetic for this. Also was not able to get a cocktail to take back to suite. Although the bar was closing. It wasn’t late, there was people still in the bar. I felt they could have looked after the people that were staying there. I suppose they do have to follow rules and regulations these days.

Love the view. Even saw dolphins from our balcony. Lovely clean room and comfy bed. Lovely helpful staff.

It was quite noisy. There was also lots of water traffic from early morning. Could hear noise from rooms next door and outside room. Annoyed no room service re food and drinks. Because Im unwell it would have been convenient to have room service. There were a few restaurants that would deliver. We opted to go out. Don't go to restaurant downstairs as food was not good enough for price charged. Average 5/10. Other restaurant on street much better for quality.

I requested a high floor and a great view to the Richmond River and Ramada delivered it all. The suite is fully equipped to make your stay feel like home, right down to the washing machine, dryer or clothes airer. Kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, utensils and even a coffee machine. Sofa bed in the main lounge area and a dining area with a big outdoor balcony area. All that you need to bring is your clothes and a few supplies if you prefer not to eat out all the time. I would definitely book here again!

I can't say there's anything not to like at the Ramada - maybe checkout day/time - I didn't want to leave!

My partner and i were unwell on our day of arrival so we contact reception and they were able to help by letting us check in at 11am. The receptionist was so helpful and lovely. The view from the river view room was stunning! The location of this accommodation is amazing. The bed was very comfortable. Everything you need is in the room. Also hassle free car parking below. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend anyone to stay here. 10 out if 10.

Nothing! We had the perfect stay!

We booked a king room with a spa and balcony, and it was wonderful. The room was modern and spacious, the bathroom and amenities were lovely and clean and the spa bath amazing. The bed was possibly the most comfortable hotel room bed I've ever slept in. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next morning delicious - great coffee - we sat outside and were treated to dolphins swimming up the river - all in all this was a wonderful experience and I would recommend Ramada to stay - we will be back!

The room has amazing views. Overall the hotel is well maintained and clean. The staff at reception were friendly and made us feel welcome. They also assisted us in arranging a taxi to go to a function.

It would have been great if there was a concierge taking our luggage and /or parking our car when we arrived. It put a lot of pressure on the staff at reception to fulfill the duties of a concierge eg order taxi, apologise for not being able to answer the bell at the covered parking, etc.

The view was mesmerising and each room setup was great. The balcony view was lovely. From cleaners to front desk reception, staff were friendly and welcoming. Great local bakeries and stores. The hotel is located metres from the river and closely on the outside of the city centre.

Requested a 2pm late check-out. Before arriving at the hotel, I received notification that this would be fine. Once arriving at the hotel, I was told 12pm was the latest check-out time. Then the day of checking out, was told 1pm was the latest. All a bit confusing but still made it work.

All was good, thank you. I had a little issue with the room charge but was swiftly rectified once I queried. It was handled with the upmost professionalism.

The menu in the restaurant opposite reception could have some more variety and not so much 'tapas' share type finger food. The room conditions could have been better explained when booking via booking.com

Fantastic room overlooking the Richmond River, very nice breezes all day and night , no need for aircon , great view, very comfortable bed , good facilities in room, could actually live here . Will definitely be back .

The only thing was the prices of the food in the restaurant downstairs was a bit hot , $65 for breakfast. Only once , went to cafes down the street. Need a sharp knife in kitchen something to cut a tomato ect .
