Richmond Motor Inn

The rooms are large and it was great to have 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. Housekeeping staff were charming and helpful. It was a great apartment which was an easy walk to town. Did hear a bit of night from the RSL club in middle of night on Friday night but only lasted a few minutes so no real issue. Reception /booking staff very helpful and accomodating

Would be good to have instruction on how to use stove but otherwise all good. Shower was great.

The lovely cleaning lady was exceptional and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. When she noticed that my husband used a walking stick when we were going out for the morning, she did a service clean while we were out and provided a shower chair and a non slip mat in the shower. Such a thoughtful gesture without being asked . The unit was immaculate both when we first got there and also after a service clean on our second day. She was absolutely amazing 👏👏👏👏

There was nothing to dislike about the property

Size of room, facilities and location all excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

You have to do something in that room around the lighting, particularly around the small food prep area. It was difficult to read a newspaper or book, once sun went down.

Room available when we arrived after a 6 hour drive. Receptionist was welcoming and new my details etc. immediately on entering the reception area. Great!

I can't say I disliked anything as the room was clean and tidy and ample for the two of us for out two night stay.

Because I had damaged my back, we were given the executive suite. We were able to have a bed each and a spa bath. There were aids in the bathroom to help with my safety, that is rails. The rooms are beautifully decorated.Many thanks for your kindness.

It was only when I rang to ask about a bed change that we were told our 2 night booking had been cancelled and we should have been notified. This was all covid lockdown related and it was kind of management to transfer our booking in the first place. The executive apartment for 1 night was good compensation.

The customer service was amazing. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was immaculately clean.

The only thing I can fault was no smoking area. Understandably the rooms are non smoking (not complaining about this at all) but normally you are able to smoke on the balconies or there’s a smoking area.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. I forgot my reading glasses and the manager packed them up and couriered them to me. She went to a lot of trouble to make sure they would be damaged in transit. I really appreciated that.

We stayed for one night. As far as overnight accommodation is concerned there was nothing to fault with the room or the service.

A lovely overnight stay here, would definitely recommend. Rooms are spacious and updated. Comfortable beds and importantly a good shower :-) Right on the main street and parking on site. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again! Also saw the family room which was also excellent.

As with many motor inns, there is height limit to enter parking, not a bad thing but good to note if you're in a tall vehicle. The carpark at the adjacent and co-owned inn has some spare spots. Staff super accommodating.

Comfortable bed, all appliances functioning, cleaning staff friendly, white fluffy towels replaces daily (see below). Within walking distance of many eating venues. Grounds and rooms well maintained. Having a face washer supplied was appreciated.

Why, when there is a notice in the bathroom that clearly states if you want to reuse your towels - leave them hanging on the rail. But when one does this, the towels are changed for clean ones? Please explain!! One of our chairs had black underside of seat that fell onto the floor. The other chair was bent backwards - and mentioned at reception on our departure.

There are not enough parking spaces for vehicles. There are 12 parking spaces and more than 13 rooms. We went out each night by car and on our return we couldn’t park in the facility. On a number of nights it was raining and we had to park on the roadway out the front of the facility. We didn’t expect to have to sacrifice the security of our vehicle to stay at this Motel. The faculties themself were fine.
