Taree Country Motel

Booked last minute as we were getting near the end of our tether after a long day on the road. Reception was due to close before we arrived so we phoned ahead. Staff were excellent and able to give us advise on the best place to find something to eat after we arrived, and how to check in out-of-hours. Was great to see several long haul trucks parked out front of the accommodation when we arrived. I figured if it was a place of choice for truckies, it must have been reasonable at the very least. We weren't disappointed, location was quiet, comfortable and easy to find, room was clean, beds were comfortable and WiFi was good, not much more to ask for an overnighter. Staff were fantastic.

Not terribly far from town centre, nicer than we were expecting for the price. Didn’t use the pool but I’m sure it’s lovely in the summer. Would recommend if you need a quick stay, we needed a last minute place to stay on our road trip home from Queensland. The room was very clean and we always appreciate the wifi :)

The main issue we had was the lack of appropriate lighting, our room had several ceiling lights which was good but when we wanted to wind down for the night there wasn’t any lamps for dimmer lighting unfortunately.

The owners where incredibly friendly and helpful. I said that my daughter wanted to go in the pool and offered her a beach towel straight away. They gave us directions to go to town, even gave us a printed map. They made sure we had enough milk for the children (milk is free and you can get as much as you need from reception). Super easy to access from the motorway and good stop halfway between Gold Coast and Sydney. Everything was super clean and the bathroom, kettle, fridge, etc. are brand new.

Can be a bit noisy as it’s next to a main road but it didn’t bother us at all so don’t discard this place for this unless you are super sensitive to noises

It was an honest 3*. It delivered what it claimed. And real milk for the coffee. Microwave, Jug, Fridge and Pod machine (take your own pods). We arrived just before 8.00 pm and left at 7.00am. Just a stop during a road trip. Easy to find and easy to get back on the road. Booked online while travelling that afternoon once we knew how far we would get that day. So easy and just what we needed.

Nothing. It rates well against the advertised claims.

I arrived in the late afternoon. The lady at reception was very friendly and got me booked in right away. Also, I had dirty clothes that she offered to put through the wash right away and 2hrs later were neatly folded and dry at the front door of my room. Very impressed with the service.

Stocked fridge! would have been so much better if the small bar fridge in the room had drinks in it. Other Motels do it and it would have been the icing on the cake if it were.

We love this place! The hosts are amazing, so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. They have thought of everything, even catering for different dietary needs regarding the milk they provide! They are the only place that I have found that do this. We have stayed twice now. We plan our trip around staying here on our way

Nothing to dislike!

Every facility you could want, iron and board, 2 comfy lounge chairs, dining table and chairs, fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee pod machine with a range of pods, toaster, clean showers and lovely towels, great bed. They’ve gone to a lot of effort and it shows. it’s a quiet location and short a drive into town.

This Motel is a real gem. It’s good old country hospitality. Everything you could want in a hotel room is provided. You have a good comfortable bed. A good sized tv. It was situated on a quieter road yet the Main Street is only a couple km’s away where you can get a good dinner.

Very clean, room had recently been painted, very quiet with plenty of parking for boat etc. nice and warm - could run a/c all night it was so quiet and the bed was very comfy. The room and bathroom were quite small but okay for me alone and busy away all day.

Room very well equipped with microwave, coffee maker, cutlery and dishes, new fridge. Good air con. Very warm and friendly welcome from manager, who took the trouble to make sure we had everything we needed. Well priced.

Some morning traffic noise but nothing serious. Decor a bit dated but rooms are being upgraded over time.
