Hotel City Residence

I stay at this facility quite often when I travel to Vienna for work. The location is perfect! It is right opposite the train station and makes it super convenient for me to get to my office. The lady at the reception is very pleasing and welcoming. The rooms have all the basic amenities enough for a night's stay and are always clean and tidy. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a short stay.

The rooms on the lower floors don't block out all the noise from the street (even when the windows are closed). For someone who is a light sleeper this can be bothersome. Not all rooms have ACs. In the winter this wouldn't bother most people but I'd guess that in the summers it could get uncomfortable.

Really nice, comfortable room with great facilities. No air con unfortunately but I knew that when I booked and there was a big fan which was helpful. Good value and decent location. Some really good restaurants around Brau Bar is two minutes from the hotel and really worth giving a go it’s Authentic Austrian food, also opposite the underground which is handy

Front of house weren’t particularly chatty, not unpleasant, just not as good as good compared to other hotels. Location, good as I mentioned only negative is it’s an hour walk from Wien Hbf and around half an hour on public transport

The location is great, as the hotel is by a metro station and in walking distance from key sights. The room was very clean and we were offered clean towels on a daily basis. Also the beds were very convenient.

Although we booked a room we two single beds, upon our arrival we realised that the beds were adjacent with a single sheet. The beds were not separated as we asked; that wasn't much of a problem for us though. Also the lamp on the bedside table didn't work.

The room and bathroom were clean. We could make tea in the room, and there was a TV (but there were no wanted channels). Not much space, but enough for two people. The hotel is very close to public transport stations.

The bed mattress's surface in some places was a bit lower and in others a bit higher, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on it. Also, I tried to use the TV, but it had only a few channels, so I couldn't find anything I wanted.

Super!! special staff, friendly, helpful, they gave us important tips how to go to many tourists points in the city. The Hotel is very well located and close to the metro , tram and bus station. The ratio money x staying, for us, was the best. we’ve had in our travel in Europe. If one’s travel proposal is to travel with no luxuries but reasonable confort I’d strongly suggest this three stars modest, but warning Hotel to stay.

Very impressed with the cleanliness. The staff were very kind and helpful and easy to reach. My room was immaculate(Bed sheet, blanket, bathroom, washbasin.. even the kettle was extremely clean!). The inner courtyard view was cozy and quiet with no traffic noises at all. They allowed me much earlier check-in and quite late check-out. Generous room supplies and services by checking each room by the cleaning staff.

No breakfast because of COVID but a kind staff gave me something to eat some bread, milk and hot choco when I was starved in the early mornings. So If breakfast is important for you you'd better check. They might have resumed now. Wi-Fi disconnected frequently. It might be my own problem. All in all, it's higher than the average rate in my personal experience. Between 8.5 and 9 would be fair.

The location is very good, right next to metro and tram station, takes only a few minutes to reach the historical center. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Murat for all the help and tips for our visit. Room was good, we had no issues.

The only thing is that it could have been a little cleaner in some places - like shelves or kettle, but nothing too bad.

The staff was really kind and helpful, specially this guy who was working at Night Shift,I don’t remember his name but I think he was from Jordânia, he was such an amazing person! The location it’s great, just less than 1 minute walking to the train station that takes you everywhere. The rooms were warm, very important in winter time.

Poor Wi-Fi signal Bed not in good comfortable conditions anymore

Had an excellent time here. Entering into a nice lobby, meeting the professional and helpful staff, getting a really clean, comfortable, quiet room. What else can I say. When I needed an adaptor, it was there. When I cut my finger and had the bedding soiled, no question, they took care of it. Just fantastic. true that it is not in the center of the town, but it takes 10 minutes by metro which is right across the hotel, or a leisurely 30 minutes walk.

Round the clock presence from personal. Chance for breakfast. Free daytime hot drinks from automat. Location very close to U station. Fairly central position.

Five nights as guests I requested quiet room and rooms facing main Street was very loud if windows open. On arrival in rush for evening appointment for meal and not able to convince reception person that I'd pay immediately on my return that same evening. Usually ive had more favourable responses from booking com hotels.
