Hotel Geblergasse

I stayed for four nights at this very reasonably-priced and comfortable hotel. I was very satisfied with my spacious twin-bedded room on the fourth floor, accessed by lift. It was fitted with a wardrobe, bedside table, desk and chair and wall-mounted TV. It was very quiet, as it faced away from the street. The heating was efficient and wi-fi connectivity was fine. Everything was in good order in the en suite bathroom. I found the staff on the reception desk very pleasant and helpful. I had breakfast one morning (paying an extra 10 Euros) and thought that it was excellent, with a wide range of items on offer. There are several tram stops close to the hotel and it takes around five minutes to walk to Alserstrasse, the nearest metro (U-Bahn) station. There is a large Interspar supermarket just round the corner and a fair number of decent cafes and restaurants nearby. I would certainly consider staying at this hotel again. The fact that it is not in the historic centre of Vienna really didn’t matter, as getting there by public transport was so quick and easy.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that there was only one power socket in the room, though there were no fewer than three in the bathroom. It was located under the desk at floor level and the TV was plugged into it. This was really not very convenient.

the hotel is in a great location. walking distance to the shopping center and metro and tram stations. you will reach the airport in 50 minutes (metro + train or metro + bus)

Great value for money and the fact that the hotel has their own garage in which you can rent a spot, are the main highlights for this accommodation, for a family of 5 staying in the sextuple room in June for 3 nights. Other things were matching our expectations, such as communication, check-in experience, cleanliness, etc. Location is also good, metro station is reachable by foot, 5-7 minutes of walking away. Definitely a place which we would choose again next time.

Nothing really that we didn't like, everything was quite well, just a recommendation to add a fridge in the room which would also improve the overall facilities in the hotel.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. The room was really clean and warm, with all you need for your stay. By the reviews we have read before our arrival, we expected the room to be much smaller. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was (we even had a balcony with chairs to rest!). The staff was very polite, which we appreciate a lot. The location was perfect - just 5 minutes from the metrostation and about 25-30 min. to the center and Schönbrunn. We will definitely come back to Vienna and stay again at Hotel Geblergasse! We liked everything

Hard to be beaten both on price and the value guests get for the reduced price in comparison with other similar properties in Vienna. The hotel is popular with younger backpacker type crowd, some may find them noisy at times, I on the other hand enjoyed their smiling faces and joyful energies. Decent breakfast in a spartan yet pleasant room is charged for separately from the cost of accomodation, but is still worth paying as the only other available option for a quick morning bite is Macdonald's on the nearby Alser Strasse U-Bahn

There wasn't anything negative that I noticed worth mentioning in the hotel itself. The location is perhaps a bit off the beaten track, but still well connected to the rest of Austrian capital with both trams and a metro station short walk from the hotel's front entrance.

Extremely comfortable bed, very large room and bathroom, great temperature (there is heating inside, but we didn't use it because it was not necessary), very well located (easy access by subway, many options of tram), excellent staff (no exceptions), excellent breakfast (it totally worths the price). And it is very safe walking in the neighborhood the hotel too (as for all the city).

In a few days, we could hear sounds from another room, but it was for a few time. Nothing else.

We arrived late on Friday and got a room that we didn't book(which is shown on this site). The room was not even 10 square meters. We immediately informed the reception and he told me that we should get a new room in the morning and that the capacities were currently filled. At around 11 in the morning, we received a new room that meets the criteria listed in our reservation. The staff is very correct and friendly. Breakfast is excellent and worth a try. Parking is great(garage). In the end, after three nights in this hotel, we got the impression that the hotel is good, good location (15 minutes walk from the center), good food and friendly staff. Recommendation for a hotel..

I come to Vienna every year for a conference since 2006, this hotel is one of my most common accommodations, and the option for booking even on the long-range many rooms for me and my colleagues is an important element in the choice. The place is quiet, the connection to the town centre and to any other destination is easy and there is also the option for parking. The area around has shops and many services, very good for a non-expensive stay.

I may say everything was as needed. In general, the availability of a less expensive and better breakfast would make it perfect.

The staff - I have never met more polite people, even though I enjoyed all my stays in Vienna until now. However, the people that are working here made us feel at home. Even though we left our room at 10:00 AM, they let us leave our backpacks in the luggage room throughout the whole day. The rooms have been renovated, we were really surprised when we saw that we had a newer-looking room than expected. Everything was clear: sheets, toilet, entrance. The WiFi was extremely fast. Very close to the U6. Next time I come to Vienna will make sure to stay again in this hotel!

Zero remarks! Everything was perfect!

The hotel is located in a nice, quiet area, very close to a U3 subway station (Alser Strasse). The breakfast is very good (it's a buffet), there are lots of foods you can choose from. The staff are friendly and polite. We arrived around 9 am and since there were free rooms they gave us the room right away. We would definitely stay here again.

It would be nice if there were a hairdryer in the bathroom but not having one didn't bother us. I believe it would be an inconvenience if you stay here in the cold seasons. Other than that, our stay in the Geblergasse Hotel was very good.
