Astor Hotel

The hotel is not in the center of Bolonia. Walking distance to the Old Town is about 40 minutes and to the Congress Center is about 20 minutes. But the closer the center the more expensive it is. The fare for this hotel (given the top of the season !) was pretty decent. Excellent breakfast. This was not the problem for me as I came by plane but for people traveling by car - ensure you secure the parking place - the hotel parking looked pretty small.

Nothing really to complain about. The staff was amicable and helpful.

The staff at this property was really great, from the desk management to the dining room staff all were great. The room and the bathroom were clean, the bed was comfy. The breakfast was good. The interior is a little bit outdated, but hey this is the so-called RETRO !

The staff were brilliant. They could not have been more helpful. They went the extra mile to look after luggage when we arrived extra early in the morning and could not check in and again when we had a late flight to catch. They were great ant offering options for transport and things to do. Rooms were spacious for 3 people and bathroom also large.

We had a nice, big, very clean room. Huge bath room. Excellent wifi. 20 minutes walk from the centre with parking in front of hotel and 5 minutes from train station and bus stop for airport. Helpful and friendly staff.

Really nice hotel in a quiet area. Not that far from city centre about 25 min from Piazza Maggiore. For those who prefer transportation, the bus stop is 1 min away. Really clean rooms, friendly stuff willing to help anytime. Also it is really close to the train station which helps for excursions to nearby cities!

Staff was really friendly , especially adorable lady at breakfast making coffee, breakfast had many varieties to choose The room was clean and modern. I recommend!

Almost 30 minutes walk to city center. There was bus just right outside for 2€ but I only saw it on my last day . It would be nice if this tip was given on the reception.

The room was very nice, with safetybox ,and a very nice bathroom

I din,t like the breakfast , there was not a good bread , nut fresh vegetables, and fruit !! But the coffe was good !! every day , there were croisants, dryyy !!

Clean rooms, very nice and helpful staff, comfortable beds. All the basics were very good. We were out the door 8 am and back in after 10 pm, so we didn't exactly experience the hotel that much.

Would have liked slippers in the room, as the floors are tile, hence cold. Pricing is also a bit spicy, but that is a function of the city and how busy it is, so I can't really put that on the hotel.

Everyone can find something for him/herself for breakfast. About 10-15min. by foot to the center of Bologna - also very easy, you must turn left/right like 1-2 times and then go only straight directly to the center. Train station that will take you anywhere in Italy is about 5-10min by foot. Calm atmosphere outside. AC doing the job. Very helpful staff. Very clean.

conveniently located by a bus stop to get downtown and everywhere you need to go quickly and easily. Andrea and Francesca at the reception were marvelously helpful. the breakfast was amazing. there are 2 good restaurants within walking distance and dozens more downtown.
