Hotel Villa Flori

the hotel, the location and the service was excellent. the view is unreal and the hotels waterside location means you wake up to the most incredible view of the lake and mountains. service was generally excellent but special mention to Mattia the concierge who is easily the best we’ve had anywhere. his service is exemplary and ensured we were very well taken care of. he is the difference maker who has ensured we will return. we get married on the lake later this year and have recommended villa Flori to our guests. thanks to mattia and the team for taking such good care of us.

Very beautiful hotel and nicely decorated rooms, everything looks new. The lake view in the room is great! Big balcony. Breakfast is good, many choices and sit by the lake to have breakfast. Villa Olmo is near by, only around 10-15 mins by walk, it's really worth a visit!

The food in the restaurant is bad and expensive, I was charged 30 euro for very dry fried fish and very salty fried vegetables. The waiter is not patient and not willing to explain menu to me. Don't recommend to eat here unless you only after good atmosphere.

The property is gorgeous! We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of hot and cold options. The restaurant staff is so nice and helpful. We also enjoyed the bar on property for apps and drinks. Can't beat the view from the rooms and balconies.

The front desk is not aligned on the taxi policy. Every time we asked for a taxi there was a different policy, which got frustrating. If you can spring for the larger room, the room itself is very nice but felt a bit cramped with luggage.

The hotel is absolute stunning -- old world charm that sits right on the lake. The room, the bar/lounge and the restaurant outdoors all have amazing views. The restaurant and staff were nothing short of wonderful.

The villa was really lovely if you want a quiet and relaxing stay -- the food and service are truly outstanding. Just note: Getting to and from the other towns can be difficult -- either a private boat, a bus tour or the ferry. Ferry lines can be very long and waits sometimes run into hours. (a 9 o'clock ferry to Bellagio requires you get your tickets no later than 7:15am and then wait in line). Como, itself, is a half hour walk or 15 minute cab ride. For newcomers to Lake Como -- we didn't realize that getting around to other towns would be a bit challenging.

The hotel and the staff are fabulous! What a view! Every room appears to be on the lake side of the hotel, and has a balcony with a small table and folding chairs. Rooms on the smaller side, but impeccably clean with quality linen. Cleaned daily. Easy walking distance into Como (through the park of Villa Olmo) or Cernobbio in the other direction. Bar menu limited, buffet breakfast was lovely, but eating breakfast or lunch on the terrace was always a memorable experience. Food is excellent but the staff and service were always outstanding.

We had a magical stay on the property of Villa Flori. The view from our balcony and the breakfast area simply cannot be beat. As two younger, able-bodied people – we found the location to be excellent, it was a 15 minute walk to either the heart of Como or Cernobbio, and a 10-minute walk from a nearby lido. We loved eating breakfast at the hotel –there were plenty of delicious options and the breakfast attendants were so kind and friendly. Our room was quite large by European standards and I really loved the shades that blocked out all light (welcome for our jet-lagged bodies). Overall, we would happily stay here again.

We found the front desk staff to be a little cold and not too friendly, especially in comparison to the folks at the breakfast service who we really enjoyed seeing each day.

Great views and a stately, refined and luxurious atmosphere. Fabulous breakfast buffet and wonderful greeting from the staff at breakfast. They truly saved this from being a “3” score.

First of all, the porter was the best part of our arrival. what a nice man! I chose to have a simple dinner in the bar and man oh man oh man, was I ever crushed. Frozen and then microwaved lasagne, totally tasteless, for 21 Euro. This was an insult. I had a 1/8 liter of the house wine for 9 Euro and when I asked for a second glass found out that they had run out. Run out?!? Come on. In a 4 star L hotel I expect better for a room price of 416 Euro per night.

The breakfast was good, nice range of food and helpful and friendly staff. Lovely to sit by the Lake and a good way to start the day!

Room was not ready at check in time (we were not alone in that, others was also impacted). The hotel at times lacked the personal touch we had received in other hotels, on our holiday. It was the only hotel to also not offer a free aperitif gathering for guests each day. Car park bays were extremely narrow and not suitable for anything larger than a mid sized car.

Our stay at Hotel Villa Flori was exemplary from start to finish. Mattia (the concierge) was so welcoming, friendly and hugely knowledgable and helpful. He was so kind to us throughout our stay (for our ten year wedding anniversary) and made it so magical and extra special. The junior suite that we got upgraded to, was beautiful and so roomy and the bathroom and balcony, plus the walk in wardrobe were fabulous. The view from our room took my breath away! The room was so clean and smelled so fresh and the huge bed was so comfortable. The hotel amenities were 5 star - namely the bar (we had drinks here every evening & the staff are so friendly) and the breakfast was so delicious (particularly the scrambled egg). We didnt eat in the restaurant while we were there, but the views out to the lakeside gardens are spectacular. We cannot recommend this stunning hotel more highly.
