Hotel Marco's

From the moment we arrived the team at Hotel Marco made our 7 night stay very enjoyable. Yes the rooms are on the small side but they have everything you need and would expect in a boutique style small hotel such as this. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water and fresh towels daily. The staff were exceptional with special mention to Sefa, Davide, Ilda and Khiarra. We ate breakfast each morning soaking up the atmosphere as we overlooked the lake. We had dinner in the restaurant on one of the evenings and this was also very good. All in all we would recommend a stay at Hotel Marco if you want genuine hospitality and an excellent location.

This is a three star hotel, which we felt was a bit overpriced for the facilities, probably because it is in a main tourist destination. The room was small, but clean and comfortable (no bidet, which disappointed my wife). There was a small balcony with lake view and it was a joy to watch the people passing and the boat (and seaplane) traffic on the lake. Quiet at night. Good location. Best thing was the staff who were cheerful, friendly and very helpful. As always in Italy being able to speak some Italian helps smooth things out. Many good bars and restaurants very close by.

Nothing to dislike, but as stated the rooms are quite small and the facilities limited for the price. No complaints though.

Absolutely perfect stay for such a great price. Thé hôtel is located opposite the river the the room views are amazing. There are also balconies on each floor which guests can enjoy. The rooms were modern well sized and very clean with a great shower and ac. The staff could not do enough for us they were all so hospitable especially the receptionist Aaron who helped us with everything and anything they are very lucky to have him as a member of their team. The absolute cherry on top was the restaurant connected to the hotel. The food was so fairly priced and the portions were extremely generous and honestly the best tasting we had during our stay as Marcos was the second place we stayed in Italy this holiday. This place deserves a 5 star!

Everything was just lovely. Staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean with a great view of the lake and a small balcony. There was a good selection of foods for breakfast and the service was friendly. We ate dinner in the restaurant each night because the food was delicious and the staff were excellent. A great location for the boats and the Funicular.

Beautiful view from Our Balcony!!! Perfect Location. The room is clean and comfortable. There is no lift , stairs 3 floors . The breakfast is only basic continental breakfast. The hotel restaurant is very good !! We had most of our lunch and dinner there. The staff are very friendly and could not do enough for you !! The only recommendations is to have a coffee tea facility in the rooms and also serve proper cheese at breakfast rather than process cheese!! After all we are in Italy! The location is 5 min from como lago train station. Ideal for exploring around. We had a great stay!!!

The location was excellent the family run hotel/restaurant is a mecca for diners. Service and food were always surprisingly great considering how busy the place was in the evenings. The breadfast buffet was good but the only eggs were hard boiled or poached, the scrambled were an additional 12.50 but were worth it. The pastries and coffee were excellent. We could sit up top on the upper terrace in the cool evenings and watch the activity on Lake Como drop as the moon began to rise. We were there 5 nights and got to know most of the staff, so we had a lot of nice wishes and goodbyes on our departure day.

Could have had scrambled eggs in the buffet, but so many of the guests were from Italy that those were probably not warranted. The decor in the room was disappointingly plain jane initially but as we got the feel for the local esthetics we came to appreciate it as part of an authentic cultural experience as opposed to an Americanized resort setting. We would go back there tomorrow without a second thought.

Location was great; close the the ferry and all the wonderful restaurants. The train station (not the main station) is a few hundred yards away. The restaurant at the hotel was very good and the included breakfast was also very good. The staff worked well for us. We needed a scares taxi early in the morning. The staff called and succeeded. Not a small feat!!

The location was very nice. The bed was very good. Room 10 with lake view out of your bed, so nice. Very friendly staff.

The room and bathroom were small. Parking is not possible and expensive. We paid 3,20 euro per hour in Parking Jasca (10-15 minutes walk to the hotel. We arrived at 8pm and left around noon next day --> € 51,20

The best thing about our stay was the fantastic and freindly service we got from every member of staff. As we were stayi g sometime we got to know the staff well and they would go out of their way to help. I also proposed to my partner during the trip and they sent a bottle of champagne to our room . Superb !

Location was excellent being directly by the lake and within easy walking distance of the station

Room was compact but still adequate. Breakfast was as expected 'continental' style whereas I would have liked a full English.
