Hotel Bernini Palace

The location of the hotel us central to walking around Florence. Located just off one of the piazzas, the hotel is close to all of the major attractions and is closer in proximity to the river making it perfect to exploring the Oltrarno side of Florence as well. The staff was very helpful in restaurant recommendations and the rooms were spacious enough per Europe standards. Off of the fifth floor was a terrace large enough for approximately 12 people where you could share a bottle of wine or gaze upon the city. The included breakfast was outstanding. The food was delicious and the staff was so courteous.

The grounds were beautiful. The staff was exceptional, especially Simonetta, at the hotel bar. We loved the convenience of the hotel location and how clean it was. Breakfast was lovely.

The TV gave us trouble because of some chip malfunction. We called to have someone look at it but it was never fixed. We also couldn’t find English speaking channels on the TV or at least employ English closed captions. A little frustrating, but not enough that we wouldn’t come back. The only other concern was that the shower door/shower lip wasn’t that high and wanted spilled over and on to the floor. It was a disaster. We thought it was the drain but even after maintenance checked, it remained the same—we just adapted.

everything about our stay was magnificent. from the lovely, professional and helpful staff to the absolutely breathtaking building, our stunning room and the fabulous dining area. the location of the hotel is truly superb and the breakfast satisfactory. Truly wish we had more time at the hotel. will definitely return. They also include personal touches wherever possible. for example, upon checkin staff accompanied us all the way to the room. the usual information and leaflets that are left on a table in the room were handed to us personally with a complete explanation of the facilities etc. it’s just a much more personable approach and different than what you get at other places. Truly great stay and thank you to the wonderful team. would highly recommend.

The breakfast buffet had a great selection to choose from. The room had nice touches like the linen sheets, nightlight in the bathroom and the water left each day when the room was cleaned. The sparking wine at check in was a nice surprise. The location was outstanding. Very close to main attractions especially the Uffizi, Piazza Della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio.

The room view was described as courtyard view which was a little misleading since it looked across to other rooms. We arranged for a private car to the airport instead of a taxi since which was quite pricey. We were not sure how easy it would be to get a taxi on short notice.

location was fantastic, mostly a quiet hotel, breakfast was fantastic and well stocked and the staff were amazing.

I would have liked more outdoor facilities, the rooftop is nice, but super hot in the afternoon.

We changed our room after the first night since the first room did not meet up to our expectations as it was small and had absolutely no view. The staff was able to accommodate us for a change of room for a small upgrade price the next night which was incredibly better and more than worthwhile the upgrade. The staff was super friendly and wiling to help out when ever needed. Location excellent and quiet amidst an overcrowded Florence. The breakfast was adequate but not exceptional as other hotels we have stayed at for the same price but the staff was on it all the time with our beverage orders and replenishing items. Have never had such good lighting in a hotel room before which is a real pleasure.

The staff were so friendly and the location of the hotel was perfect, it was minutes walk from every main attraction and only 10mins from the train station. Very comfortable and the bathroom and shower was spectacular. In particular Annalise, Yuri and Simonetta were amazing and so helpful about everything.

The only thing I would say was not great was the noise you hear outside. I know this is not the fault of the hotel and I did mention this, but it seems the windows are not double glazed as the building is quite old, but the it wasn't all night and from about 2am it was quiet until the morning. This was the only main issue I had for the room that I had stayed in, so maybe not facing the main street would have been better.

An outstanding hotel with the perfect location and with the best team I have ever seen in Italy before. Right from the beginning of our journey we felt the most supportive atmosphere in the hotel. The transfer was organized perfectly, the check-in ran smoothly and our most-welcoming concierge Mr. Illiberi gave us perfect recommendations about everything. With his attention to all our needs this was one of the best journeys for our family. All the tickets and restaurant were booked in advance for us, we did not have to wait anywhere in spite of the fact that it was a long weekend for Italy and Florence was overcrowded. We really appreciate your help and hospitality, Mr.Illiberi. I also should mention brilliant stuff members at the restaurants. Thank you for your kindness and service on breakfast, for this feeling of being the very special guests and the best Aperol in the city. We will definitely come back.

Maybe the best located hotel inside the old town of Florence. If you want to be in less than 5 minutes walk from all the major sightseeings, this is the choice you have to make. The hotel staff was great, really kind and very helpful. Nice breakfast in a very impressive hall. The decoration in the lobby and the bar of the hotel is really stunning.

There is a slight smell of mold all around the hotel that indicates bad ventilation combined with extended humidity (ok, there is an excuse that the hotel building is really old and relatively close to the river). The room had no view at all (the window was looking to the back of another building, facing a wall) and was very small. Furniture looked like antiques (not real ones) but in reality the room needs renovation. The wifi was not easy to setup to our devices and in the end we had to compromise with roaming data service from our cellphones. Be careful when booking to this hotel if you have disabillities in movement. To reach our room, we had to step stairs two or three times. The elevator is not enough and you may need help from the staff.

loved the staff and the attention to detail. The bellhop a man from Bolivia (I’m sorry that I dont remember his name) was waiting outside of the hotel to greet us and help unload our bags. He suggested we visit Cinque Terra, which we did. it was amazing. I happened to be in Florence for my birthday and they left a special gift in my room. i never told them it was my birthday. it’s these small details that make a place great. well trained staff and beautiful hotel. amazing location. I read some reviews complaint about the size of the room. i could not disagree note. I’m 6.2 ft, 330 lbs and I was very confortable. can’t wait to stay here again.
