Hotel Perseo

The hotel is located in an excellent area , near the Trains station (if you go with a small baggage you can walk to it) and near the historic center . We can go walking to many sights . At night many restaurants nearby. We stayed at the family room, that was very confortable for 4 people .The breakfast was good. The cleaning was good. The staff was very cool and I can tell Ms Louise , the owner, was very kind with us.

As the whole Europe, the old buildings have small elevators and sometimes we have to climb stairs.

Extremely close to the train station. Its a ten min walk and taxi's are readily available. Hotel is a bit odd to get into. Once you get into the elevator and come to the third floor it gets better. Reception was a stickler for keys but reasoning makes sense. The room was FANTASTIC. Super comfortable beds and facilities. We didnt have a good view but thats the least of concerns. The breakfast was AMAZING. The location is central close to the Basilica. Theres so many good restaurants close by.

Wish they offered shuttle service from train station

Location was fantastic and easy to get to all of our tours. Staff was very help providing a map and explanation of how best to get around the city. Very clean.

Beds and pillows were uncomfortable which made it challenging to sleep

Excellent location, Very helpful staff. Room in line with expectations for a 3-star hotel in a tourist hotspot.

Same day laundry service is sold with returns for 18h. In practice returns are later (admittedly same day), so you cannot count on them for evening clothes. Not limited to this hotel, but I don't think that in this day and age just offering the regular Italian non-paying tv channels is still defensible.

The location is absolutely fantastic and we had no idea how close it was to the Duomo and all the amazing attractions. It is set on the main road but it is so quiet that you are never disturbed. Best nights sleep and great air con! The view from our room was wonderful. The hotel is on the 3rd floor and has steps as well as a lift and also gated entrance with code. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was a welcome surprise - especially needed for all the walking!

Friendly hotel staff. Breakfast was good. Usual meats, cheese, fruits, cereals, pastries, breads, etc. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Shower was small but this is typical in older hotels. The best feature of this hotel is it's location. Very close to the Duomo, shopping, restaurants and train. Couldn't be better.

I don't know if this counts as something I didn't like - but rather found it a bit unusual. When you enter the hotel - it looks more like an apartment building. You take the elevator to the 3rd floor and that's where the hotel starts. Our room was a bit reminiscent of staying a relative's house, rather than a hotel room. This wasn't a problem, but just providing a visual for expectations.

Hotel location was close to train station and the piatazza . Laura the receptionist was great

The hotel was inside an old apartment building,with slow elevator ,the facilities was a little bit old but the room contains all the necessities,

The location was perfect, 1 min walk to the dumo and 5 - 10 min walk to the train station. The staff, I can't say enough about them, all of them. They were very friendly, helpful and took time to talk to you about anything and everything. The room was clean and the breakfast was perfect, just the right amount of options to get you started for the day.

For us nothing really, the room was "maybe" a bit small, if you are picky. We were on the same floor as the reception, so giving them the keys everytime we left and came back was easy. I could see it to be a bit of a hassle for people on the next floor. But overall, no problems. Excellent stay.

Hotel Perseo was just perfect for my weekend in Florence. Communication in the lead up to my arrival was always prompt and I was able to check in early which was a great start. The single room I stayed in looked over the street which was just brilliant and the window opened too, to hear the sounds of the city when open, but the room was so quiet when closed I didn't hear a thing . You can't ask for a better location, it's a minute to the Duomo and you can walk pretty much everywhere in Florence central within 10 easy minutes. The bed was really super comfortable, and I'm very picky about beds! Laura was helpful and very friendly and the team worked like clockwork. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was a wide variety of delicious food and of course excellent coffee! Can not recommend highly enough.

This is an amazing hotel in the centre of Florence! Its location is spectacular - about 100m from Il Duomo - but what makes it truly special are the staff. Louise, Marco and the team are so friendly, welcoming and kind that by the end of our three-day stay, we felt like old friends rather than clients. They went out of their way to help us, recommending restaurants, giving directions, making tea and just chatting. Also, the breakfasts were delicious and very generous! Such a pleasant change from anonymous corporate chain hotels! I can't recommend this place highly enough. PS The picture I've attached is the view we had from our hotel room - felt like we could reach out and touch Il Duomo!
