Hotel Deco

I saw many negative comments about the property but I don’t understand where the negativity is coming from. yes, the hotel is old and the facilities are not spectacular but they are good enough. We were out all day and were coming back to the hotel just to shower and to sleep and we found that the hotel is comfortable enough. AND the location was excellent. Moreover, the staff were very, very friendly! I would recommend the hotel for short stays

We had two small windows in the room and they were quite high so we couldn’t see anything. The shower was a bit dirty as well but other than that the hotel was good for our 2 night stay :)

Location is fantastic - just a few minutes from the Firenze Santa Marie Novella train station. Major attractions are all within walking distant. There is a coffee bar just across the street for coffee and light breakfast.

I find the room and especially the bathroom very dark due to poor lighting. It would be great if the hotel could provide water kettle in the room for tea/coffee. For those who have mobility challenges, please be aware the elevator only goes up to the 3rd floor, one would have to climb two flights of stairs to get to the top floor (4th) of the hotel.

Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Room was clean and comfortable. Big shower with big shower head. I have asked for quite room and was given one at the back so slept like a baby. Location is superB. Train station is less then 5min. The famous Dome is 3min walk. All attractions are walking distance. Many shops and museums around. Couldn’t ask for more!

The property was central to the main parts - 5 minute walk to the train station and to the Cathedral/Brunelleschi’s Dome. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom (not the shower though however that seems to be standard in Italy to have a small shower recess). The bed was to my liking as were the pillows and the room was serviced everyday. The common areas on the 2nd floor was nice and cute. The interior/wall paper was also very cute. Great value for money also. Where I was situated, I couldn’t hear any street noise - nice and quiet to be able to sleep well. Also you will enter under the Hotel Spagna sign. The lift also works, so did the air con. I would stay here again.

Just the shower recess was too small but nothing I couldn’t handle.

Manuele, at reception was very welcoming when I checked in and every time I entered the hotel. The reception desk is quite a way from the front door, but every time I entered, he waved and said hello. He was helpful when I checked in and offered me a map of the city and highlighted what was within walking distance to the hotel. He answered any questions I had too. The room was stylish and comfortable . The hotel is very close to Santa Maria Novella train station which was very convenient.

It would have been nice if breakfast had been an option. However, it wasn't a big deal because there are many cafes and restaurants that serve coffee and breakfast within 2 minutes of the hotel.

Excellent location. The hotel is old and has a particular style, but the room was big and comfortable. The staff is VERY nice, always willing to help and give recommendations. The train station is super close and the tram station is even closer. You can go everywhere walking, it’s 5 minutes away from the cathedral. Great value for money

The decoration is weird and we couldn’t keep the window open, it would close automatically so we had to stand next to it holding it open for a few minutes.

Clean, nice facilities, a large room, modern. I felt really accommodated here. Elevator to my floor. My favourite part of my stay were how lovely & welcoming the front desk staff were, happy to speak English which has been rare on my travel in Italy. I felt safe here travelling alone.

The location was great, close to attractions, bars, restaurants, and transport. The staff were amazing from the front of house to the cleaners. friendly, helpful, and a good morning every morning to start your day. 5 stars 🌟 Would definitely stay again at the hotel Deco

2 things. The shower was a little small ( but was spotless) and no fridge to keep drinks cold, other than that totally enjoyed our stay.

Amazing staff members are the hidden gem of this property! Young lady from reception desk helpped us with something that wasn't her job to make our stay at this property better. We wanted a room with 2 single beds, but we should wait for the next day to get it, so she came and made this for us. Location of this hotel is great: less than 5 minutes far from the Florence historic center and railway station and rooms are bigger than we expected. We would always come back there! :)

Beautifully decorated! I loved the Versace designer wallpaper! 😍 It goes well with the vibe. Our room was upstairs and accessible by elevator. The air conditioning was always on making it refreshing to lay down on cozy beds after spending the day out in 100 degrees of July heat. The staff was wonderful, let us leave our luggage when we got there early, as well as upon checkout since we had time to catch some breakfast before our train departed. It is located in a central spot near the metro as well making it easy to walk everywhere! highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
