Hotel Ungherese Small Luxury Hotel

The rooms are recently renovated and facilities are fresh and modern in what is a lovely old world charming hotel. There is a fantastic outdoor area which is very tranquil and a great place to sit and relax and eat breakfast etc. The owner is planning to operate a bar in the area 4 times a week in the evening which will be a very positive addition.

There is no lift in the hotel - which is fine if you arrive during reception operating hours as assistance is provided with bags. We arrived afterhours and check in was smooth but we struggled bit dragging large bags upstairs what is a very lovely but long staircase.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was clean and decorated so beautifully! The breakfast was very good compared to the other places we stayed at. We felt very comfortable and would recommend staying here.

The location is not walking distance to the city centre but it is on a lovely, quiet road which we liked We loved the bathroom but unfortunately it was not en-suite, however, we knew this before booking so it wasn’t a problem.

We loved our room and the outdoor bar area. Daily housekeeping is provided, and we had included breakfast which was really nice as well. Very close to the bus stops that take you into the city centre. The staff are also very lovely - Bianca helped us make a restaurant reservation as well. Would come back if ever in Firenze again.

There is this smell that comes from the bathroom, and I am not sure if it is because the fan does not work very well? Maybe providing air freshener would help. The room is also small, but this does not bother us, since we are outside most of the time.

Very nice small hotel with beautifully designed interior in a quiet residential area. It The busstop is around the corner and bus 11 and 17 go frequently. Excellent breakfast. We could park our car in a secure parking place nearby the hotel.

The hotel's proximity to local restaurants, cafes, and shops made it convenient to explore the city and soak in the rich cultural heritage of Firenze. Despite its central location, the hotel was surprisingly quiet and offered a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. The attention to detail and personalized service provided by the hotel's staff truly made us feel like valued guests. We highly recommend Hotel Ungherese Small Luxury Hotel for its impeccable service, prime location, and elegant atmosphere. It exceeded our expectations and made our stay in Firenze truly special. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the furnishings and decoration give a sense of luxury. The receptionist, Bianca was very helpful and eager to please, giving clear information and assistance. The 'hotel' is in a quiet suburban neighbourhood with easy access to multiple bus routes making travelling into the centre easy. There are a number of good cafes and restaurants nearby with a special mention for 'Grazie Assai' as well as grocery and wine shops. The hotel has no problem with you bringing back a bottle to enjoy on the terrace or in your room so that's great especially as there is no bar on site. The breakfast is good with a reasonable selection, good quality and good coffee. Overall our stay was pleasant and comfortable, we liked the location, being out of the centre and using buses gives you a greater sense of normal Florentine life plus the restaurants in the area are a bit cheaper than the centre and used mainly by locals which is nice after the tourist crowds of Florence!

This 'hotel' is run on on something closer to an air b &b model rather than a normal hotel. Check-in is from 3pm but despite texting to say we would arrive at 1.30pm and asking to store luggage - the 'hotel' was closed on arrival! Gained entry after a phone call to Alberto and were able to store luggage at least but had to fend for ourselves until 3pm. Reception (and all services Inc the front door) seems to be closed from around mid day to 3 and finishes at 7pm so if you come back from town after that you're on your own - oh no that's not correct a large teddy bear occupies a chair at reception!! The absence of bar or food facilities onsite is a limitation however if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing stay away from the crowds you won't be disappointed - we certainly weren't.

Recently renovated, everything was extremely clean: the room, the sheets, the toilets. Everytjing was sparkling. Coffe and tea makers in the room with coffee and different types of tea provided. Very nice small garden where you can have breakfast. Varied breakfast including pastries, cheeses, cold meats, fresh fruit, different types of yogurts, eggs, juices, and more. Extremeley nice, attentive and helpful staff. Location was excellent. Away from the noisy and crowded city center but you can reach the city center by bus in 10-15 minutes. Different bus stations are 2 minutes away from the hotel with 3 or 4 different lines that go to the city center. Near the hotel there are nice restaurants and cafés if you want to avoid the crowded touristic places. We ate at Grazie Assai, 3 minute walk from the hotel. The food and the price were amazing. A highly recomended hotel. Would definitly go back.

Everything was excellent.

Everything about the hotel was fabulous. Nothing was a problem for Alberto and Bianca who were extremely helpful, telling us how to get into the centre and where to go. The hotel is a little bit out of town (which is why it is so peaceful) but for €1.50 you can get the bus or train (the train station is 15 minutes away - Campo di Marte, though the trains are not as regular, so get the Number 11 or 17 bus). The terrace area is beautiful and you can have breakfast up there if you wish. There is also a wide variety of breakfast dishes. Because of the busy days in Florence, we wanted to come back to the hotel a little earlier to rest. After buying a bottle of chianti and realising it was a cork (no screw tops in Florence 😊), I messaged Alberto and we arrived back to wine glasses and a corkscrew (as I said, nothing was a problem). Ensure you take mosquito repellant though, the little biters are abundant in Florence. Overall, a lovely relaxing stay.

This hotel was fantastic, we arrived a few hours before our check in due to flight times but our room was ready and we were able to get in early (obviously not guaranteed!). They could not have been more accommodating. We stayed in the Twin Room with Garden View which was a beautiful room and had a gorgeous private balcony attached to the main terrace where we could eat breakfast each morning (which was incredible and had more than enough options for the vegetarian and gluten free member of our party). Alberto was lovely and helpful along with the rest of the staff. Easy to get into the city centre by bus with multiple stops nearby. Could not fault it - 100% would stay there again. Perfect start to our trip around Italy.

hard to review properly - was given an apartment a few mins down the room as there was a booking error. The apartment was nice enough, but the hotel obviously seemed much better. It was also not not provided with Wifi until my second day after asking and the aircon didnt work. The hotel did refund me half upfront for the error, which was much appreciated. I'd say a bit more communications and setting up the apartment a bit better would have been good though. Breakfast was very good.
