Villa Neroli

There were many things to love about Villa Neroli - these are my family's top three: Firstly, the beautiful and serene location as it gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy countryside Tuscany while being reasonably close to central Florence. We take a taxi to get to the Duomo (very easy to take, around 15 minutes drive with traffic) but there's also a bus service outside the hotel and if you particularly like walking, it's 45 minutes away from the city). Secondly, the rooms are extremely cosy, spacious, and clean with all the amenities you need. Finally, the service quality is very high and I really appreciated the professionalism and hospitality of the staff. I look forward to coming back.

We loved the outside seating, very good choice at breakfast, free parking, comfy beds, tea and coffee in the room, the sauna, everything is super clean.

It’s too far to walk to the center, so you need to take the bus(no tickets sold on board)/car/taxi. The fitness/sauna opening hours are exactly during the time that you are not there (9am to 8pm). It would be nice to be able to use fitness before breakfast and sauna later in the evening.

Hotel and facilities were excellent and just as described on website. Appears newly refurbished and modern. Great selection of tolietries and complimentary bottles of water provided. Really good selection for breakfast including hot food and everything topped up regularly even at the end of breakfast time. Pool area well maintained and not overcrowded. Reception staff very helpful.

Nothing negative about hotel and facilities but location is a bit far from centre of Florence. Taxis were arranged promptly by reception or buses 10 & 17 very close to hotel drop you at Santa Maria Novella station or Piazza San Marco for €1.50 - tickets from local Tabac shop. We discovered a local pizzeria - La Porta Verde which was basic but very good if you just want a short walk.

We are family of 5. Its not easy to find a nice place with family rooms. This place offered us two attached rooms. Pool area with pool bar- amazing, offering some snacks and drinks.

Breakfast- if you are not a lactose and sweet tartas fan- could be difficult to find something. You can choose from scrubled eggs with milk, some cereals with milk, yogurts, cheeses, bread, sweet cakes and tartas and pancakes. We asked for 5 boilded eggs and there was an EXTRA fee for it- 30 Eur😀😀😀 each egg 6eur. Can imagine? I hope those eggs were ecological and free range🤷‍♀️

Not a deal breaker but the water bottles and the toilet paper weren’t refilled after checking in

the location, away from the crowds yet close to the centre, the property itself is beautiful and nicely kept, the staff is ultra kind and lovely, rooms are beautiful, the pool is nice to chill by with a small bar next to it, breakfast is 11/10, cleaning is excellent, I could go on and on, it was overall an excellent stay.

Excellent stay at Villa Neroli. Room was very spacious and bed and pillows were so comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range to choose from, staff amazing and always on hand to provide advice and guidance on excursions, restaurants and booking taxis. Gardens and pool stunning. The hotel is 4km from the centre of Florence, but we were so happy that we booked a hotel outside of the city centre with a pool and the walk into the city was lovely. Overall the stay was excellent.

Wardrobe space in our room was a little on the small size for a family of 3 staying for 5 nights, and no other drawers to store items.

Though a vintage building, everything looked fresh and up to date. One can appreciate modernity after a 4 story walk up in Venice. The staff went above and beyond in making our stay wonderful. Including a last minute request for massages! The breakfast included with room was spectacular! Our dinner in the restaurant one of our best meals and Italy and the bar makes a wicked negroni! We could not be more pleased than our stay at the Villa Neroli

The eggs and bacon were not very hot at the breakfast buffet. It is a bit of a hike to the center of Florence, but that is also what made it nice. Can't say there is much we DID NOT like. This place is awesome. The pictures of dead flowers over the bed were kind of off putting.

The property is stunning and beautifully maintained. The rooms ( we stayed in the junior suites) were big enough though not huge like the pictures suggest. But the rooms were very plush and all the fittings and fixtures including the linen and beds were top class . Everything felt new and very luxurious. Bathrooms were really good too. Wish they had been larger though. Although they were not tiny by any standards. Parking was ample and very convenient , also free of charge. The breakfast was just superb. Huge variety for European standards and the quality of everything was excellent. The manicured garden was stunning to sit and have breakfast in. The pool was large enough for a property of this type and an added bonus. The service and staff were just excellent and bent backwards to make us feel comfortable. The location is perfect if you are coming to Florence with a car and want to explore tuscany from here as well as visit Florence city centre. it is just 11 kins away from the city centre, although you can only take your car uptill the ZTL limits of the centre and then park outside this limit and walk into the city centre , this walk is just 8 to 10 mins depending on where you park and in which lot. . But this is very convenient and the Neroli staff gave me great pointers on which car park to use . You can enter the ZTL city limits with your car after 8 in the evening as they open the ZTL or make it a green GO zone, so it is great to go to the city centre for dinner and park easily in either a paid meter parking, paid garage or in some free parking spots , which we found quite often in the centre. I would highly recommend this property to especially those coming to Florence with a car or rental. all in all a superb experience.

The air conditioning is controlled electronically from the reception , so we had to ask them to turn it cooler for us. So if you need ask them to adjust the temperature to your liking. Wish the controls in the room could do this easily. One evening the water in the bathrooms shut down for about an hour. The reception said this was due to many rooms using the shower at the same time. Absurd as it may sound for a hotel, it did come back on in about an hour. So i recommend the hotel fixes this issue. It really is a given for a property like this to not have such issues. These would be the only 2 points why i gave it a 9 and not a 10. otherwise all was superb.

The breakfast was one of the best features regarding quality, flavor/tasty, and service. Also, how easy was it to get to downtown Florence/Firenze and the main attractions However, the characteristic of Villa Noreli is the staff that works there, ready to assist with a friendly face and rapid service. I want to say special thanks to Mr. Angelo for his service and advice to make the most of the city; also, Ms. Corina she was super at dinner time, best service ever, with a very sharp and professional look. Thank you for making my family and me welcome in your beautiful country.
