Hotel Spadai

This hotel exceeded all our expectations - the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Providing the very best in customer service & having an attention to detail that is second to none is clearly their priority. We were thrilled to receive an upgrade upon arrival & the junior suite allocated was absolutely beautiful! The hotel is immaculate & in an amazing position - just a two minute walk from The Duomo. We even purchased the Acqua di Elba room fragrance on display in the reception area just to remind us upon our return home & were delighted to receive some free samples & a small gift as a result of mentioning the hotel at the shop. If you are coming to Florence, this hotel is an absolute must - you will not be disappointed! Thank you so much for a truly wonderful stay, we will definitely be returning!!!

This hotel is perfect, location was 1 min from centre of Florence but in a quiet area. The team there couldn’t do enough for you, fantastic breakfasts, they also do snacks from 6 till 8 every evening in the bar. This hotel should be 5 star it’s that good. They only do breakfast there but with all on offer in Florence food wise that doesn’t matter. Just outside the breakfast room there are spiral stairs that take you up a viewing platform where you can see across Florence….incredible .

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It is a small hotel but this is a bonus. No issues at all with the Spadai Hotel. Currently planning a second trip.

The Staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The location was perfect.

We were under the impression that there would be laundry facilities for us on premises. When we discovered that there are not facilities on site, one of the nice men who work there let us use his private washer so we would have enough clothes until we could find a laundry mat. This made a huge difference to us - he truly went above and beyond in helping us. Not wanting to take advantage of his kind offer, we did what we needed for one day with his washer, and then sent out the rest to the laundry services used by the hotel. We spend about $300 on laundry the day we left.

Very nice hotel. Staff were very welcoming and greets everyone warmly, though reception is not exactly at entrance. Everything looks very clean and new. Near the duomo so the hive of activity is nice but not too noisy. Complimentary minibar items daily restocked. Fantastic. Such a simple touch and yet it increase our convenience greatly (not having to buy drinks to bring back to room after being out the whole day). Best breakfast for my whole Italy trip. Fruits are fresh and plentiful, great assortment of all types of berries, kiwi, citrus and bananas 👍🏻 Excellent service by breakfast team👍🏻 Kudos to Alessandro (hope I got the spelling right) at breakfast room 👍🏻 offering daily complimentary Nutella crepes served right at the breakfast table and daily warm welcome and even remember the way we take our coffee after a couple of days. Highly recommend.

great location. centrally located and easy to find after our daytime activities. breakfast was SUPERB. We loved all the fresh fruit and variety plus delicious cappuccinos. The staff is all wonderful and welcoming. And there were so many freebies like the free minibar snacks and drinks that were replenished and free drink upon arrival. They also boasted a great happy hour that came with free snacks if you ordered a drink (we did not partake as we usually weren’t hungry around that time but it’s a deal if you are). we would 100% stay again.

shower is a bit small. we are small people so it was okay for us but I can imagine it could be too small for taller/broader people.

The breakfast was incredible. Maintenance responded quickly to a problem with the air conditioning after multiple attempts by the hotel staff to get it to work. The location is within walking distance to pretty much everything; so don't be afraid to indulge in the breakfast. You'll burn it off. Definitely would return.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. Just make a note in the room to set the thermostats in the bathroom and the bedroom the same. The problem was caused by dual thermostats dueling each other.

Spacious room with very large bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was amazing with so many choices including bacon and scrambled eggs, lots of pastries which are all prepared by hotel staff, and many choices of fresh fruit. Hotel is located about 100 meters from the Duomo and the Bapistry. A most excellent hotel well worth the rave reviews.

Everything. This was our second time staying here and in our room there was a lovely personal message on a beautiful card welcoming us back. It is these finer attention to details that just add that something special and this along with the caring and attentive staff make for an exceptional stay. Our room was lovely, comfortable beds, very clean and well appointed with nice bathroom products and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent with great service from the wait staff and the location is great. Would love to stay here again.

Staff were most welcoming and always had a smile - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotless, and the small issue we had with our bathroom mirror was seen to and fixed in minutes. Breakfast range and quality was fabulous with everything you could want to set you for a day of exploration! Free mini bar (soft drinks) was a bonus, and meant we didn't have to worry about taking drinks and water to the room.

Clothing storage was very limited for our 1 week stay - 1 wardrobe, 1 shelf and no drawers meant keeping clothes in suitcases, which was fine, but more would have made things easier.

Superb location - close to all main attractions The room was of a good size with much dedicated to the bathroom - good size jacuzzi shower. Excellent views of churches and terracotta rooftops. Hotel cleaning of rooms and staff exceptional. Breakfast buffet was enormous and of a very high standard - plenty of choice no matter what your diet. Breakfast staff again excellent. The Duomo just a hundred yards down the street and spoilt for choice regarding some excellent restaurants.
