La Terrazza di Jenny B&B0

A really lovely place to stay. Great host who has put together some really nice touches. You have access to a drinks area 24/7, cold water etc. literally outside your room - very handy. Really comfortable room, Aircon etc. Breakfast dead easy and good. Whilst the hotel isn't central (only about a 15-20 minute pleasant enough walk), there are some really nice bars/restaurants nearby. Pizzeria Da Nasone is just the other side of the main road, great food/value. A must try place called Trattoria Tito is nearby too. There is also a Taco place next door that is good for a snack. A superb cake/coffee shop called Valu is not far away in the direction of the station. Definitely a "would stay here again" place.

You could put the location here if you were expecting somewhere really central (the middle no more than a 20 minute walk anyway), but it is a nice area and not as busy as the middle, plus there are loads of nearby buses. Station not far either. One really handy bus route is up to Piazzale Michelangelo. 20 minutes door to door. Worth doing in the evening. If you are reading this review and it is about a year old, there will be a brand new tram directly outside also.

First off Jenny was a delight!. I'd had a bad taxi experience getting to the B&B, which left me frazzled, not in a very good mood, and my mind was all over the shop! Jenny brought me down just like a good mum! The room was just delightful, crisp, clean and very comfy in that bed! Breakfast was simple, what you ordered and ready when you asked for it. The fittings were as you'd expect a well laid out place to be. And always a bonus, wifi was secure so my anti-virus didn't scream at me!

Not really Jenny's problem but food options were limited in the neigbourhood and none I could see were Italian (Morrocan and Japanese)...

It was an exceptional B&B. The rooms were large and very clean with tea making facilities. Jenny was friendly and made us very welcome. (I must also mention Simona who there on one of the mornings - also very friendly and helpful) Jenny went out of her way to organise us an early taxi to the station on the morning of departure, due to a rail strike starting at 9am. The breakfast was more than adequate with the option of eggs and bacon if you wanted. A good start to the day. The B&B was very well situated to visit all of the tourist sites in Florence. Everywhere was easily walkable. I would highly recommend this B&B and wouldn't hesitate to use again if returning to Florence.

The room was lovely, spacious and clean, and had a kettle and a good supply of teabags. Breakfast was very good - I recommend the Nutella filled croissant - with a good selection of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurts, and tea and coffee. Also on offer were bacon and eggs which I didn’t try but my fiancé did and he enjoyed. We were allowed to store our bags after checkout which is so helpful as some of the luggage storage places in Florence are not cheap! The property has a dog too - Lola - who was lovely and friendly.

It’s not that central. It is not a bad location at all but at least a 15 min walk to the train station / central attractions.

Jenny and her staff (and Jenny's dog Lola) were so friendly and gracious. They provided us with vegan options for breakfast and were very flexible in service times, as we had to leave early in the morning to catch our bus. The B&B is super clean, with ample towels, hot water, electrical outlets, pillows, and toiletries. The location is great for roaming around Florence, not to mention being very close to the T1 tram that gets you to and from the Villa Constanza bus terminal, outside town. Let me also mention that there are two excellent vegan / vegetarian restaurants in the neighbourhood: Il Vegano Bistrot (photo attached) and Il Vegetariano. There's also another superb vegan restaurant a 20-minute walk down towards the Arno - L'OV Osteria Vegetariana - which we enjoyed thoroughly.

Unfortunately, Via le Spartaco Lavagnini is under major construction and is also heavily trafficked. That made getting to and from the B&B a bit tricky / risky at times, drivers in Italy being a bit more aggressive than what we're used to in Barcelona. So the immediate vibe around the B&B wasn't quite as relaxed as we would have preferred, but once we walked a few blocks towards the Arno everything was perfect and we experienced the Florence we were hoping for. I expect once the road construction is done the situation will be more mellow, so this is not really a reflection on the B&B but more on the situation of the surrounding area.

A spacious room in a lovely building. We were welcomed by Jenny's son who explained everything to us. I asked him where to eat and he recommended 2 amazing places!! Bathroom was a very good size with a wonderful shower.Breakfast consists of coffees, toast and if you prefer you can pre order croissants or eggs and bacon .The apartment is a good 15mins to the centre .Jenny also ordered us a taxi on the morning we were leaving. Thanks Jenny for 2 wonderful days spent in stunning Frienze!!!

The AC was a little noisy but not annoying.

I had a very spacious room with a direct access to a huge terrasse. The room was spotlessly clean, and equipped with a water cattle and tea. Jenny was a great and friendly host, responded always super fast and made me a great breakfast. The location of the apartment is convenient, very close to the city center (about 15 minutes by foot from the cathedral). It was very important for me that the room was quiet (not to the street but to the back of the building with the mentioned terrasse), so it was very calm despite the central location.

Nothing to complain.

We are the 2nd time to live in Jenny's B&B . We come back again as the B&B is fantastic. The room is clean and spacious with an excellent air-conditioner especially in this hot summer. The bed is good, for us, it is not too soft or hard. The breakfast is enough. There is a garden inside the B&B that is so relax when sitting there. Jenny is so nice and helpful. She helped us to buy Italy painting, it is a big help for the traveler. Thanks Jenny so much. Hope you have a healthy and happy life. See you!

It will be better if the buffet breakfast can be provided, but not the MUST as now is also acceptable.

We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was great - Italian-style breakfast is delicious, but it was also so nice to have the option of asking for eggs and bacon during our stay here. We were both craving some protein after days of pastries. :) Everyone was so kind and helpful! And although our room opened right into a common dining space, I didn't hear anyone out there while I was in my room. There was also a nice common terrace out back. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was nice, and we appreciated being able to control the room temperature easily.

This is a small point, but while there is fast wifi, but it didn't reach us very well while we were sitting in bed. We had to sit in another area of the room for it to be consistent.

Wow this apartment is so much better than any five-star hotel! You get all the hotel amenities, a very neat room and bathroom, plus so personal and warm treatment so you feel very much at home! And you get an amazing homemade breakfast! The location is very smart, you are not in the noisy historical center, but right next to it, to the railway station and the exhibition center Fortezza da Basso. You won't need any public transport (if you like to walk, but otherwise why go to Firenze?) Jenny thanks a million, will definitely come again!!
