Residenza Fiorentina

The location worked out perfectly for us - close to the train station and car rental just a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is very well maintained and clean and most importantly air conditioning was available. Also a fan. The breakfast was tasty and had everything needed - eggs, bacon, yoghurt, muesli, fruit, different kinds of pastry, cheese and bread. There was staff available to make latte or cappuccino at the breakfast room. I loved the fact that the breakfast starts early - at 7:30.

Great location and close to restaurants, attractions and the train station. The rooms were very clean and staff were helpful. The breakfast was amazing with a great selection of cold/hot food, fruit and pastries. Best breakfasts on the whole trip.

The hotel was difficult to find as there is only a small name plaque/sign on the wall outside and the entrance door actually doesn't look like the picture. The picture on the website is taken inside the building. We were getting quite frustrated with the GPS until I looked up and actually saw the sign and that we were standing right in front of the main door.

Good breakfast selection with nice fruits like Kiwi! Very service oriented staff - we had an early morning tour and they packed breakfast to go. Rooms were really good sized, beds were comfy. Location very convenient to town and 8 min walk from train station. Staff was also very quick to call us after we checked out to let us know we left a phone behind ..much appreciated!

Rooms facing the street didnt block out the noise..you can hear every single thing so if you are noise sensitive, request for rooms facing inner courtyard. Shower doors do not stop the shower water from spilling out so expect a very wet bathroom after.

Location. Staff were all lovely.

The bathroom was a bit tired and shower was very small, grouting was eroded in lots of places. Decor in room was very tired. Aircon could only be controlled centrally and ours kept playing up by making clicking sounds although the staff responded straight away. One of our rooms had just enough room to move around the bed and the other room had space to lay suitcases. So a bit hit and miss on size.

The location is perfect. So convenient when arriving by train and really close to all of the Florence places of interest. The hotel was nicely appointed, modern but traditional, and we actually enjoyed coming back to the room and sitting in the dappled sunlight with the window open - great way to re-energise before heading back out to see the sights! Having chilled filtered water on tap was also fantastic! The breakfast, whilst not perfect, was very good for what we'd expect in Italy, with delicious, freshly baked, pastries.

I had an unclean mug in my room which never got cleaned (I didn't complain, but I left it out as though it had been used and it just stayed there with the yellowish muck in the bottom) - these things should definitely be cleaned in between each set of guests. If I'm being picky about the breakfast, I'd complain about the "fruit juice" which was just coloured sugar water, not pleasant. Also, and this is a problem for me in Italy in general, the size of the shower cubicle - bashed my elbows just washing my hair! Bit frustrating given the bathroom was actually a good size. None of these things really detracted from what was an excellent stay, though.

Prime location position, efficient service, and cordial staff - these were some of the choice factors that were apt in describing the first time stay at this property and my visit to Italy. I would definitely be checking in again for a future visit to this beautiful town.

The one drawback that I experienced was that a few more electrical sockets in the room would've been appreciated, as it was a bit difficult to exchange the plugpoints for charging my laptop and mobile, alongside the use of the hot water kettle.

We were a family of 4 adults and found the room to be very spacious. It had two washrooms which we never expected. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The location was great. Only about 6 minutes walk from the train station. They offered a decent breakfast which we took advantage of on two days. The breakfast room looked very nice as well. The staff was very helpful. We will be back.

There is no elevator to the upper floor where our room was. But, it was ok, considering the many other features they offered.

The building is an ancient palace and the entrance is really glamorous. However the rooms are newly furnished and provide all modern comfort. I particularly appreciated the availability of fresh water in the corridor. The breakfast was also pretty good with a good variety of food and drinks. The location is super, just 5 minutes from the Duomo Square and the main shopping streets as well as from the railway station.

Unfortunately there is no air conditioning and the heating is centrally controlled, which was a bit of uncomfort since it was quite hot in the room.

Wow. This was such an exceptional stay at such a beautiful hotel at the heart of Florence. The historical building itself is stunning, and the design of the residenza complements this so well. All the staff were very friendly, and we had a seamless check in/out. The room itself was so spacious and comfortable, with all the facilities working well. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious and had a good range of items each day. We throughly would recommend this hotel to anyone else looking to explore Florence. Thank you so much!

We liked everything!

Very good location close to all Florence attractions. Walkable distance from Florence train station. The breakfast was excellent and in a nice room with good attendants. All the staff were helpful and courteous.

The hotel itself is quiet but there was road noise till late at night. The door placard and Hotel Name are small and that made it a bit difficult to locate on first try.
