Riva Lofts Florence0

This was our second time staying at Riva Lofts, so that already says something! Once again, we had a great time staying at this beautiful hotel. The rooms are comfortable and stylish, and breakfast was delicious! The location is a bit out of the main centre, but we really enjoyed using the hotel bikes to get into the centre or go out for dinner in the evenings. It's also a great starting point for a run/cycle along the river, which is just outside the property. Finally, the staff were so helpful in suggesting activities and restaurants (as well as making reservations) throughout the trip!

Such a lovely property. Been coming to Florence regularly for decades. Almost impossible to get a property close to the city centre with a pool, making this a real one off in the summer - after a day in the heat of the city you can pop back and cool off. The bed was so comfortable I asked who made the mattress (the management kindly put me in touch). Breakfast was pretty good, and the tow lunches we had by the pool were excellent. I had stayed out of season before and the big room was a real plus, but it comes alive in summer because of the garden and the pool. The walk to the centre is a good way to walk off the big meals but the tram stop is very close, it's cheap and it takes you right to the station. You can therefore get from Florence airport to within a couple hundred metres of Riva Lofts by tram, with just one change at the station.

Honestly, there was nothing negative about the hotel or our experience.

Beautiful pool. I had two hotels in Rome that had miniature pools that felt more like a hot tub. This pool is so beautiful and long enough to actually swim a little. I went in the morning and the evening before and after I go into the city. In the evening you can see the stars. This is one of the most magnificent experiences ever. The two sky lights in the room helps me sleep and wake up, it’s situated at an angle so it’s very soothing.

The traditional keys they use for the room makes me feel like a friar opening the chapel. It’s cool but not the most convenient arriving after hours. If it doesn’t open you need to pull the doors a little because wooden doors expends and it just kind of stuck. Once that’s figured out it’s all good!

The outside space and communal areas were amazing and beautiful , so relaxing and the staff were attentive without being bothersome.

I think the bedrooms could have done small improvements. A place to put your suitcases other than the floor . The window had a blind which was pulled down as passing guests would be able yo see in . This made the room quite dark . Maybe transparent film on the window would improve the light whilst maintaining the privacy . The lighting in the bathroom was poor .

Excellent staff and great attention to detail. Really spacious room overlooking the Arno, truly amazing. We had dinner brought to the room from the restaurant. And drinks too! We used the complimentary bicycles to get to the city center in minutes. Small cozy garden with, pool, bar and lounge chairs. We will definitely come back to Riva Lofts

The location was perfect with the tram just a short walk away for getting into the city. Staff were all really friendly and facilities were great. The room was quiet and comfortable, great nights sleep each evening. Breakfast was good each morning, and the dinner we had at the hotel was wonderful. The swimming pool was bliss on the hotter days, and plenty of outside relaxation space. Massage was very relaxing after a full day walking in the city too!

The breakfast was excellent and the staff could not do enough for you. The Bicycles were a bonus and a great safe way to get to the City. A truly lovely place to stay.

Nothing all excellent.

The location just outside of the city was perfect with an easy tram ride into the city. The grounds and the layout were simply perfect. As was the breakfast sat in the garden each day. Plenty of loungers to relax in and the staff were all so lovely. We took our dog who was as welcome as we were. Air conditioning was great to return to as were the extremely comfortable beds and honesty bar. Perfect stay. We will return

Super friendly staff with an easy check in really helpful with directions and getting around Florence and allowing us to use hotel bikes once we had checked out before leaving Florence. Kindly upgraded when there was an issue with the room and good breakfast!

The garage parking was full unexpectedly but managed to find public parking down the road which was reasonably priced and can pay by app！

Wonderful airy rooms with comfortable beds & well designed common spaces. Pool was the highlight on hot days (if still very cold!) & nice that there are only a few rooms on the property so all is intimate & quiet.

A bit far from main areas for a family to walk tho we were fine when we did so, was safe etc & couples/adults would be totally fine too.
