Hotel Martino Ai Monti

The location was within walking distance of the Roman Colosseum and other famous sites, in the older part of the city. The room was simple but clean. A piece of our luggage had been lost by the airline and the host was very helpful (and spoke good English... a big plus) in providing instructions to the airline as to how and where to leave our bag the next day, since the front door to the building requires a pass code to enter.

It isn't a typical hotel with a street presence. The "hotel" is a section of rooms on the 12th floor of a large building, but their is a small elevator. The bathroom was very small, but overall the hotel was a good value for the money and we enjoyed our stay.

Great value for money for central Rome accomodation! The location of this hotel in the Monti neighbourhood was perfect for us- only 10 minutes walk to the central train station, 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum and some great restaurants and shops nearby. While we had booked a small room, we found it very comfortable and had everything we needed including a fridge, kettle and Nespresso machine, as well as good working air conditioning. Being on a quiet side street, we didn’t hear any noise from the street so found it quite peaceful at night. While there is generally no on-site receptionist - the host was very responsive via WhatsApp and made the self check in procedure very easy so we had no problems. The house keeping staff were also there every morning and were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We stayed for a single night at Hotel Martino Ai Monti as the first stay on our 2023 Europe Trip. The hotel is only a short walk from Termini Station, situated in a reasonably quiet street, but close enough to everything you need, including all the major Rome Attractions, as well as plenty of cafes and restaurants. The building is very secure. The room was very comfortable, offering us a view of the street below, big enough to relax when needing to escape from the exciting city. We appreciated the coffee facilities and the bathroom was small but perfectly adequate. We would not hesitate to stay here again when next in Rome.

Super responsive and helpful staff. Excellent location with both Termini and all the must-see sights of Rome within walking distance. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Nespresso machine & mini fridge in room. Once I connected with the hotel WiFi I was able to get into the hotel. I would be very happy to stay here again.

There's very little to fault. The only thing was the noise the pumps for the water for shower and toilet made, especially as you could hear the pumps for the en suites of other occupants. However, it's hard to see how they can change them as the pumps are clearly needed.

I highly recommend this place. The hotel is located in a wonderful part of town. It is close to the metro station, beautiful park and a few of the biggest tourists attractions. The self check in is very easy and convenient. We checked in late in the evening and the whole process was very user-friendly. The hosts are very helpful and responsive. After we checked out and noticed we left some things in the room they helped us get them back. The room was very clean. The building and the neighbourhood were quiet and peaceful.

Receive by Whatsapp instructions for entering the premises because I arrived after business hours, and had no problems whatsoever. The room is quiet except for the flushing of the toilet at room above or beside (couldn’t tell). I had no problem with that, but anyway the housekeepig provides ear plugs in case you need them. Could not hear conersations on nearby rooms. Everything clean and in working order. Excellent water preassure and temp. Felt safe. Good communication and availability of the admin through Whatsapp. Quick response always. The neighborhood is middle class residential very clean and quiet, since the apt is on a secondary street. Plenty of places to eat or have breakfast around. Walking distance to the Termini train station (13 min) and the Colosseum et al (15-20 min).

Two things could be better: 1) More light in the entrance hall. It has two lamps that turn on by movement, but they don’t give enough light, so the hall is dark and spooky at any time of the day, but especially at night. 2) The admin (which I never saw). 2) Control of the air cond. The temp is controlled “from heaven” by the admin (by establishing limits), which in two occasions proved too warm after a day of walking around the city -it was a warm September in Rome). Anyway, i texted the admin and “it” lowered the set cool max. Problem solved, but I had to call. These things are not deal breakers, but could make stay more enjoyable.

Very comfortable hotel with interesting quirks. The check-in was done remotely as the hotel is not staffed after hours in-person but is available online through whatsapp. They were able to provide clear video instructions on how to enter and check yourself into the hotel and did it without any hassles. The beds were comfortable with the best pillows I've slept on in the last 2 months travelling around Europe. Fresh linen and towels everyday and they provide new coffee pods and biscuits each room service. Fast WiFi and located near great restaurants. Walking distance to the Colusseum and Termini station. Really helpful and responsive staff. Room was one of the biggest I've stayed in Europe so far for the price. Absolutely recommend.

Plumbing makes noise when using the sink/toilet/shower but found it more quirky and interesting than annoying.

nice location nearby railroad station, yet few blocks from most crowd… wlking distance to most touristic attractions, with nice restaraunts, shops and bars around. Noisy a bit due to nice Taverna and Bar, situated under windows, but it goes silent after midnight. Small clean room, nice bed, reliable shower.

Its a good value for money, and nice place to stay for few days. Well managed, with nice stuff and adequate communication on all questions.

Located walking distance from centre. Kettle and coffee maker in the room, inc. coffee and tea. Noise earbuds provided. Perfect sewerage system in shower. Hot water whenever needed, perfect pressure. Clean.

Airconditioning making noise while working. (Like a rain rattling sound) Needed it on, to be warm in the room. But we then adapted to it. Towels changed once in three days.

Our room was big (1 doble bed and one large single bed), which was perfect for our family of 3. Easy check-in with instructions so you can do it at any time you arrive. Frequent contact with staff through Whatsapp. Although it's just a room, you have coffee facilities, a fridge and a small kitchen in the corridor, so you can eat simple meals. Building had a lift. Very central area, easy to walk everywhere. I recommend!
