Merulana Suite 20

Location is superb. Quiet at night. An easy walk to the Colosseum. A close landmark is the Santa Maria Maggiore. 15 minute fast walk to Roma Terminus. Lots of eating establishments nearby. Very clean, fantastic shower with steady, hot water. Historical lift to 3rd floor was great to have and fun to use.

It needs a bit of maintenance to move it from the “very good” category to the “fabulous”. However, these were minor points and nothing that detracted from our stay . A bit of a smell in the building but no problem in the apartments.

Perfect location, close to the Rome Termini, Colleseum, forum, Trevi fountain, and the Pantheon. Breakfast area was clean, always well stocked and the rooms were were big enough for several large suitcases. Our host, Pietro, went out of his way to have gluten free options for my wife who is gluten intolerant. A member of Pietro’s team, Sarah, did an excellent job ensuring our room was always clean, supplying fresh linens, and serving us great breakfasts.

Very happy to have stayed here. The location is perfect, very close to the Coliseum, to Termini and also to the metro station. The room had everything we needed and the staff were very nice and sweet! Gave us some good recommendations on where to eat and ensured we had anything we needed. Breakfast every morning was basic but very fresh and more than enough, but its included with the stay so very appreciated! Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We’ve had a wonderful stay at the lovely Merluana Suite 2. It is perfectly located. You can get to the Coliseum in 10 minutes or less going through a park at oppian hill. Forum is just at the end of the street. You can’t get it wrong. Pietro was great from start to finish. He provided us with a list of excellent and affordable restaurants that made our live so much easier. And he gave us useful insights about the city. Perfect host!

- The suite was spacious, calm and clean. - The bed and the furniture were clean and comfortable. - The equipments were all functional. - The location is perfect as it is close to many monuments. We took the airport bus to Termini, and we walked 5mins to arrive to the building. - The manager is very welcoming and caring about the smallest details. He gave us many suggestions : things to see, places to go, restaurants where to eat, etc. He also speaks many languages fluently. - At our arrival in the suite, we were welcomed with a nice bottle of French wine (we're from Paris) ! - The breakfast time was a pleasing moment, especially with a calm morning music while you eat. The meal was delicious, and the portion was generous. We had : Tea and cappuccino, croissants, fruits, butter and jam, etc.

Happily, there isn't anything that we didn't like about the suite or the staff.

Super friendly! Pietro was so helpful and welcoming. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. Our bedroom was more than enough space for the two of us. We really liked having a window open to the street. The surrounding area was also really nice. Lots of restaurants and easily accessible. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

We liked everything!! The pillows in the bedroom could probably use some updating- but really wasn't an issue

Small and only few bedrooms. Very nice hosts. We could leave our luggages the last day. Good insulation with the street so no noise. Airco was so great. Breakfast was great! Super clean and confortable. Some snacks when we arrived, was a nice touch.

Sometimes it was just a bit noisy in the kitchen in the morning and audible from the room. With other hosts taking breakfast. For young people like us who wake up a bit later it was the only small inconvenient.

Good location in a nice safe neighborhood. Two metro stations with different lines within 5min walking distance. Very good supermarket (Pewex) 5min walk away. The Colosseum max 15min walk away. Nice room with enough space. Good breakfast with croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, cookies, cake, good coffee and tea. Very good air conditioning. The host speaks very good English, is very friendly, gave very good restaurant recommendations (no tourist traps) and has also been available via smartphone messenger. Luggage could be stored on the day of departure.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, straight away I was given tips and "a locals knowledge" to the city that helped me avoid tourist traps (I'm highly grateful for this as I don't fancy eating overpriced and inauthentic cuisine). I felt content throughout my stay and the additional welcome bits in the room really added to me feeling appreciated and care for. I also have zero sense of direction and so the location was perfect for my needs as once you know where it is, it is pretty easy to find again :). The jazz music played over breakfast was the icing on the cake as it gave the B&B a glowing warmth and homely vibe. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay, when I visit Rome again I'll be sure to look for availability here, in hope I get to experience Pietro's kind and friendly B&B once more. Plugs sockets weren’t too great for uk adapters, only one socket was usable. Despite this irritation I was still able to use a socket and on the grand scheme of things, this could be seen as minor.

The host is super polite and funny and easy to talk to, he gave us really good tips on what to do and where to go :) The location is good, everything is pretty close and easy to find and if you keep the windows close then it's really quiet too. The bed was comfy and the restroom was clean and a bottle of wine is waiting for us. Cappucino in the morning was so good!

There is nothing that we didn't like. Breakfast was a little bit lite or we are used to eating in the morning some sandwiches or omelet, but it didn't affect our stay there. People have different preferences :)
