PALAZZO DE' ROSSI HOTEL

The location is in the country outside Sasso Marconi and offers opportunities for walks along the river and in the local woods. There is a long distance footpath/cycle trail through the grounds. The restaurant was excellent with good, attentive service and excellent food well presented. The room offered country views and had a small balcony.

Don't follow satnav! Waze proposed a route that was long, twisting and rutted. It's better to drive past Marconi's mausoleum into the centre of Sasso Marconi then take a left turn following signs to the hotel. The route is better maintained and an easy drive.

we chose this spot as our first night on the via degli dei, although most people would choose to push on a few km's and stay at a b&b further up the trail, but i have to say that the combination of super clean, modern, big rooms, and the outstanding restaurant, make this a smart choice. the praise from my wife and friends was well worth it. and as we left early for the trail, they gave us some boxes with cakes, cookies and fruit for the way.

The location and room were lovely. We were able to check in early which was very helpful. The grounds are beautiful.

The air conditioner didn't really work. As it was during a heat wave we were very disappointed. I read that the restaurant was going to be open for lunch which it was not. This was inconvenient.

location is very nice, a good restoration of a period building. charming. the staff is professional and friendly. the room was clean and comfortable, although a bit small. the restaurant serves great food. I had a good dinner at a reasonable cost. overall excellent value for money

my room was a bit small and on the attic. okay for one night but perhaps not for a longer stay.

Everything we expect was there. Extra was the styling of the bedroom, restaurant, breakfastroom and our dog could allways stay with us. If I could I would lie and saying this is no good place to stay because I want to keep the pearl for myself.

Located just outside if Bologna, in the countryside. Food was excellent. Perfect for cyclists on the EV7.

Aircon didn’t work, although I don’t blame then as we have just started seeing temperatures rise in Europe. (spring)

Pretty location with comfortable beds and a decent breakfast.

The staff were easily overwhelmed and not very accommodating. Asking for simple things like lunch during their lunch hours or dessert at dinner, seemed like very difficult requests for them. Also we wanted to check out late or leave our bags because our baby was napping and that was also not an option.

Really beautiful location, looks like castle. Helpful and friendly stuff You feel as you are staying there alone, you do not see other travelers, so a lot of privacy

Hotel is in an old manor, belonging to the Bevilacqua family and is a monument. The rooms are renovated with all the latest comforts. Great staff. Good restaurant, although the cook should use less salt on the sauces and meats. Breakfast was good. Private parking. Very silent.

Very nicely located inside a part of an old castle, when I arrived a nice fireplace was warming up the guests right outside the entrance. Extremely helpful and nice staff. Good level restaurant inside, it's really a plus, worth paying a visit.

The room was generally clean but there was a long black hair on my pillow and a couple of marmorated sting bugs inside the room (yes I know it's impossible to get rid of those bugs in October-November). The room heating system is based on a heat pump split, personally I'm not a big fun because it makes the air very dry.
