Hotel San Felice

We feel so lucky to have booked this hotel! The people running the hotel are so friendly and kind and really looked after us. It is a lovely hotel, in a good location about 15 minute walk from the main square. The rooms are quite big as is the bathroom, and the aircon works very well! They even offered complimentary coffee and simple breakfast every morning for all the guests which we really appreciated. It is also the best value hotel we have stayed at in our 2 months travelling Europe, a very reasonable price for such a nice place, but it is really the people working here who set it apart.

As others have mentioned, it would be good to offer a small fridge and kettle to bring the rooms up to modern standard. Also, we did get woken up at times by other people letting their doors slam - perhaps some soft-closing mechanisms could really help. But otherwise it was nice and dark in the rooms.

Very good for its value! Located right in the centre but far away enough from the noise, has supermarkets and pharmacies around it. Rooms get cleaned daily. Good bathroom. Furniture is a bit outdated but is sturdy, beds are comfy, TV and WIFI and small breakfast are included too! Staff is really nice and helpful, reception desk is very welcoming. I stayed there for 4 nights over the New years, couldn't have wished for better service.

The walls are a bit thin and you can clearly hear the voices from people in the hallway (4 rooms per hallway, didn't bother me too much), loud talking, or blow-dryers through a wall, especially in the mornings.

This hotel is in an excellent location - 20 minutes walk from the Bologna central station and maybe 15 minutes walk to the historical town centre. The staff was super helpful and provided us with tips on what to see in Bologna and its vicinity. Complimentary breakfast was an unexpected plus and made our mornings :)

The AC in the room did not work and the room was overheated. Luckily we could open bathroom window for some fresh air but I imagine that in summer when the temperature is higher it could be a problem.

The hotel is located in an excellent place close to the old part of the city (20 min walk) and to the Bologna Central train station (12 min by bus). There is a great bakery with coffee across the road in front of the hotel and it's a wonderful place for breakfast. The room was clean, and the receptionists were very helpful and nice. It is allowed to leave your luggage in the hotel storage for a few hours after check out👍

The soundproofing could have been better (I heard a snoring neighbour from the other room) Not even minimum kitchen facilities like a kettle and a small fridge. However, generally, this is a great place to stay for 2-3 days for travelers with a moderate budget.

Location was really good for the price. The staff were friendly. My room was ready early. 20 min walk from station and 15 min walk to historic centre. 20 min walk to start of climb to Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca along old canal route to football stadium (excellent walk to hill top). Once I figured out buses (using Google maps), that was easy to station on departure and all over town. Several routes very close to hotel. Room was very clean. Complimentary croissant and juce in morning (coffee was an option too).

Shower tray filled up quick due to very slow drain. Only stayed 1 night so no real issue. Hopefully a quick fix.

Hotel staff was fantastic. They made it possible for earlier check in and later check out, they were helpful, respectful, positive and friendly. The location is fantastic and safe. Breakfast was modest but tasty. Definitely will choose again this hotel.

It would be better if there would be carpet instead of tilt, telephone and fridge missing but the hotel again remains a very good choice.

Location of the hotel is superb! Two buss stantions just in meters away. Via San Felice is magical. Nice shops, caffe bars and autentic restaurants with delicious food are just in few minutes of walk from hotel. Pam market is just around the corner towards Porta San Felice. Overall quite and comfortable place and location. My wife and me enjoyed every single moment. Every morning hotel staff made coffe and light brakfast for us - free of charge, and that was AWESOME. We recommand this hotel and we will come back again for sure :)

When I travel for my clients on their dollars, I'm conscious of keeping my expenses modest. Compared to other modestly-priced hotels in the downtown area, this hotel stands up well to my needs: comfort, quiet, cleanliness, and cost. It's also well-located, with sightseeing, landmarks, and public transportation to go to the airport or the train station close by. Shops, supermarkets, and restaurants are also close by.

Weak, unstable internet connection

Felt like staying at some long distance relatives place. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is even better than super central, because you have a local life style with regular stores and not crowded with tourists. And you can reach the main square in 5 minutes walk. San Felice street is full of life and you can eat there until late night, also in the restaurants in front of the hotel. Can't wait to come back!

Location- It was great for walking distance to the shops, art galleries, the main square and restaurants. Staff- all members were great but Sandro and Andrea were so friendly and full of information which helped us get the most out of our trip. They made us feel secure. The unexpected free breakfast was so good! Cappuccino and croissant set us up for the day!
