Very small and very cosy hotel with only 4 rooms, located right in the Bologna city center (700m walk to Piazza Maggiore). The hotel is on the 3rd floor of the apartment building. Room was not so big but had everything you need. There is no kettle and fridge in the room but you can find both in the lounge room, for a common use. Hotel itself is very quiet but it’s located on the busy street, so if you keep the window open be ready for a lot of street noise. When the window is closed you can hardly hear anything. There is an air-conditioner in the room, smart TV with Netflix/amazon prime and youtube. Strong and stable wifi. Good shower. Lovely breakfast is served in the lounge room with awesome view over the church across the street. Giovanni (the host) is attentive and resourceful. Thanks for a great stay!

Very convenient location close to city centre & all the sights that we wanted to see. Friendly & helpful staff, our room was very quiet. Breakfast supplied was OK.

For 2 days breakfast was not available but we were given vouchers for a local coffee shop. This was OK but more limited. We did understand that it was coming up to Easter weekend & our host was going away with his family. The coffee shop staff were friendly & the coffee & brioche were good.

Everything was perfect, very nice host and the location is close to the city center. PS: Giovanni makes a great breakfast and a very good cappuccino. If you choose to stay at R&B don't forget to stop by at Luigi's restaurant (tratorria "o sole mio"). You will thank me later.

Good location, just a short walk (10-15 minutes) from the Piazza. Bus stops close by, also plenty of good eating places all within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is on the third floor of a palazzo, with nice views over Bologna and to the hills beyond. It has a lot of character, the rooms are spotlessly clean (and cleaned and tidied daily), and the breakfast both typically Italian and very good. It is quiet, so we slept very well. The proprietor was helpful with queries both before and during our stay, for example about how to travel from the station to the hotel ( we took bus no. 11), and about good eating places. All in all, just what we hoped and also good value. Bologna itself is, as expected, a beautiful city, full of treasures, and more than justifying the week we spent there.

This is a real boutique hotel with only 4 rooms in a building in the central old town of Bologna. The owner/manager is very kind and helped us with whatever we needed (late check-in, restaurant and taxi reservation). Breakfast is very good, with fruits, cheese, ham, pastries, eggs on demand, everything really fresh. Bed is very comfortable. Can definitely be recommended.

Everything was fine, the only thing that bothered us a little bit was that the elevator was terribly slow, but, that definitely cannot be changed.

Loved the brown bread at breakfast as I don't eat pastries. Tea was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. I didn't arrive until very late in the evening due to a delayed flight, but there was no problem. Location is excellent, especially for a solo traveler. I felt very safe both in the B&B and the environs. A short ,safe walk from the centre and all the attractions.

There could perhaps be an option of while rolls/white bread at breakfast for those who mightn't like pastries or brown bread. Perhaps guests could be asked after breakfast on the first day if they required white bread/rolls the following day if staying more than 1 night. I enjoyed the brown bread, but some mightn't.

Spacious room and very comfortable bed. Very good double glazing shut out nearly all the street noise. Location was great. Around 15mins walk from town centre and close to bars, shops and restaurants. Lovely breakfast with eggs, pastries, cold meats, cheeses and fruit and very good coffee.

Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly. We liked the communal seating area. The location is a bit hidden but overall the location was great. Cleaning service was pretty good.

Maybe eggs or pancakes for breakfast. Oats were not great. A fridge in the room would have been great. The lift was VERY slow and felt a bit scary. Hand towels were missing.

Great stay, in a cozy and beautiful space, very tastefully decorated! It is near the city centre, and everything is within walking distance. We really enjoyed the breakfast served in the common space, as well as the spacious bathroom and the view to the backyard with the fountain. Staff was very nice and helpful as well!

It's not possible to get a second pair of keys if you have a different schedule from your roommate. The keys are essential as there is no reception.
