Al Gazzettino

Everything was excellent! spacious room, beautiful decoration style, very big and convenient bathroom, amazing view from the balcony and the window, advanced heating system, hot water and all facilities very good. Regarding staff of hotel, they were all bright nice persons, helpful, efficient. Location is the top also. We have been to other Venice hotels but we will definately come back to Al Gazzettino hotel!

We would like to have room service..

Absolutely everything!! Staff were amazing and so friendly especially Beatrice! Breakfast was fabulous! Everything was just put in front of us and we could eat what we wanted! Croissants, bread rolls, cheese, sliced meats, yoghurts, pastries, juices and of course delicious Cappuccino! We upgraded our room to a Canal View with a balcony and we weren't disappointed! It was the best decision!! We were 5mins walk from San Marco and Rialto. Location is in between both so a perfect location. Gondolas pull up right outside the hotel and there is a beautiful restaurant right across the canal which we ate in one night. Would highly recommend Al Gazzettino!

Nothing! Everything was great!

First thing when we arrived it was hard to find the hotel , and hard with luggage but I think the fault was on the water taxi person he dropped us off far away from the hotel and gps did not really work properly! The location is amazing ! Everything just walking distance , the most we like about this place how nice were the girls who work there, they are super nice and very helpful, we missed our breakfast on one day because of an early appointment out of the hotel and where we got back we were surprised that they prepared breakfast for all of us in our room ! They are just fantastic sweet and kind ! Thank you ! I have no idea how other reviews write negative things about the staff !

No elevator, hard with a lot of luggage , and one thing that we were on one floor and the kids on other but we had zero negative things, the place is so safe and our worries went away after our first night.

Perfect location, 3 min walking distance to Rialto water bus stop which was ideal as was also on the airport route. Staff very helpful and accommodated an early luggage drop even though room was not ready. Breakfast was gorgeous, and as we had an early check out for our flight, staff left us breakfast to take with us. Good air con which helped in 35° heat. Clean and tidy room. Canal view with gondola ride next to hotel.

We booked the junior suite which allowed me to book for 4 adults. Although the beds were comfortable, there was very little space in the room for luggage or moving around at all

The location was extremely central, difficult to find at first but this was mainly because of the small Venizian streets and maybe unavoidable. The room was spacious and comfortable, as was the bed. The bathroom was very modern and finished in a high end tile ( as we were only staying one night we did not get to enjoy the facilities as much as we would have liked to). We had to leave early so could not have breakfast there, however, the staff were very friendly and helpful, making us a packed breakfast instead and giving us directions to the boat shuttle service for the airport.

We did not enjoy climbing up 4 flights of stairs with our suitcases, but were made aware of this before our arrival.

The hotel was located very centrally. Everything in San Marco was a walking distance. There was a gondola stop right outside the hotel. The staff was very friendly. I have earlier read bad reviews of the rude behaviour of the staff here. However, I found the staff to be very helpful. The lady at the reception was even sad when we missed our first day breakfast due to oversleeping. She offered to pack us some croissants even though breakfast was long over. It was surely a very sweet thing to do. The room was very big and they gave beds to accomodate 5 people. It was a comfortable accomodation for all 5 of us.

Staff is friendly. Location is perfect! Within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, the Rialto bridge, Grand canal, and many other things. The room was clean and well maintained.

There are zero elevators in this hotel. Be prepared to walk up many flights of stairs to your room with your luggage. Also, we were under the impression that breakfast was included when it wasn't. We felt it was a bit overpriced, but still a nice place to stay.

everything was just perfect! the hotel is located in the very heart of Venice, in walking distance from everything (20 minutes from the train station, couple minutes from San Marco square and one of the embankments). the room is small but very cozy and comfortable. the bathroom facilities are trendy. the breakfast was very nice: different kinds of meat, cheese, eggs, yogurt, croissants (unfortunately only sweet ones), cake and muffin. and all of that for 10 euros - amazing! the staff is very nice and helpful

there's nothing I can complain about

The location is AMAZING. We only had one night in Venice and we were in a great location to get everywhere we wanted within 5 minutes. The staff is amazing, breakfast was excellent. We could watch the gondolas in the canal out our windows, and hear the gondoliers singing. Everything was amazing and perfect. I would stay here again over and over.

My only complaint is that our room was significantly smaller than described and shown in the photos. We chose it because we were a family of 4, and only had one night and it offered a king bed and 2 twins, with a private bathroom. The pictures looked beautiful. Reality was a king bed with a twin bed pushed up against the end, with the second twin bed six inches away, so literally wall to wall beds. We couldn't move around the room. Had I known how tight it would be, I would have gotten two rooms.

Excellent hotel, the best breakfast I had in Europe ever, and value for money. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. the breakfast service was amazing and at night the restaurant was buzzing with Venetian vibes and the food was amazing Would love to stay there again the location is awesome and it puts you in the heart of Venice walking distance to all major attractions the gondolas outside the window made it super cool

nothing really bad to say about the hotel or the staff, to be honest. I will definitely stay there again.
