Hotel Città Di Milano

The location is absolutely fantastic, 1 min walk from St Marks Square and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Yet at night it's not loud and there's no trouble getting to sleep. Buffet breakfast is simple yet enough to set you up for the day. The rooms are a great size, everything was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly. We couldn't have asked for more.

The only slight hiccup was that we arrived late which was pre-approved by the hotel, however, there wasn't anyone to meet us and the hotel door was locked. A sign on the window said to call a number which just rang and rang with no answer. We then followed the other instructions of going to another hotel for assistance, unfortunately there was no one there. It was around 23.15ish and after a long day this hassle was a tad annoying. Once a staff member was available he said that the info on the door was out of date and that he couldn't help us. All in all it took around 40 minutes to sort but with organisation this could have been avoided.

The hotel we booked was Citta Di Milano. Reception and breakfast were in Hotel Panada and our room was in Hotel Diana- across the street from Panada (2 meter away :) ) . This was very strange. But the place was great - 1 min. walk to San Marco. The room was good, clean with a mini bar and nice TV. Overall nice hotel, but they need to improve breakfast.

Breakfast was poor - a croisant, small bread, juice, yogurt, honey, jam and a coco cream. You had to ask for butter, because they don't bring it. Very slow service in the breakfast area.

Excellent location, beautiful roof garden for breakfast. Good value for money, very clean and quite comfortable.

Breakfast could be enhanced with the addition of eggs and fresh fruit.

Very nice hotel, clean, super location, friendly stuff, with a Venetian ambiance. The room and the bathroom were quite spacious. The building has an elevator and the rooms have air-conditioning. We would definitely stay again .

The breakfast was good, but basic (no eggs). The rooms are not quite soundproof.

Very central, room very nice, decorated in the old style fashion, which suited the city very well and created lovely atmosfere. Conditioning worked very well.

There is a restaurant downstairs and it plays horrible pop music all the time, until quite late at night, it is annoying. At least they would play Italian music, but no, horrible english :( Hotel does not have kitchen, so breakfast is made from things that do not need cooking. No eggs, unfortenately no vegetables to go with sandwich. But if you like sweet Italian or French style breakfast, it is all right. But still, some tomatotes, cucumbers would not be difficult to provide even without having a kitchen.

Breakfast was well organised. Staff were a bit overrun when everybody came for breakfast at the same time , but there was always plenty of food available and staff were very helpful. Hotel is located about 5 mins walk from St. Marks Square and about 8 minutes from Rialto Bridge. Very good location. Plenty of places nearby to eat out. Good access to shops. The hotel was very quiet apart from a nearby church bell ringing at 0700 and 2300 but it was for a reason and added character to the stay. The bed was very comfy with plenty of additional pillows and blankets if needed. The room had a fridge and a safe which were both very useful.

There wasn’t any tea or coffee facilities in the room, which we thought had been on the list of facilities when we booked, but perhaps not. There was a loose electrical switch with a pull chord above the shower and nothing to say what the switch was for. Easy enough to pull the chord by mistake, however it pulled the switch unit out of the wall, exposing what looked like live electrical wires. There was only one coat hangar in the wardrobe capable of hanging trousers. Plenty for shirts and jackets but only one for trousers but we adapted fairly well and hung stuff over the back of a chair. There weren’t enough drawers for storage. The room was quite dark and the low wattage bulbs weren’t great for reading.

The lady on reception when we arrived 20th Jan 2023 around 4pm was so pleasant and informative. The gentleman when we were leaving 22nd Jan 2023 around 10:30am and was there another evening when we came home was lovely. His attitude and manor was so welcoming and just made us smile with his friendly conversation. Definitely a plus on this hotel.

The milk wasn’t cold enough in the continental breakfast and is left on the counter. I had asked could I have some cold milk for my cereal and was told there was no cold milk. Not a fan of room temp milk, not sure many people are for cereal, would be ideal to have a fridge just for this item. Otherwise all other breakfast items were fabulous and really enjoyed it.

Very comfortable room and spacious enough. Excellent location near to San Marco Square and Rialto Bridge. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was good, but choice was a little limited, especially as we stayed for 5 nights. It would have been nice to have some fruit provided. It was difficult to find the entrance when we arrived. It would be good to have a direction sign outside the front of the building.

Very clean hotel/room. Room cleaning every day, nice but the same breakfast every day. The location was perfect. The Staff was very nice and helpfull. I reached the hotel later than I claimed during making reservation, but there was a sheet on the door with email and phone number for urgency, I called and in about 2 minutes that Miss showed up and we made a check-in 🙂 I can recommend that hotel! 🙂

Serving breakfast only from 8 was too late for me. But I guess for most people that's ok 🙂

The location is very good, the hotel is situated very close to Rialto bridge and St. Marco square. It was a bit difficult to find the hotel, you have to go through some passages, but with some help from Google Maps I was able to get to the reception. I had a smnall room, but it was comfortable enough and I had enything I needed. I liked being awaken in the morning by the church bells. There is a small choice for breakfast, nothing cooked on the spot as they have a very small breakfast room, but the coffee was very good and there is a nice terrace to drink it :).

Nothing to complain about.
