Hotel Alcyone

The location of the accommodation was superb, right in the heart of the city and all major sights just a few minutes of walking distance. The room was quite small but sufficient for a short stay with plenty of storage space for 2 people. The staff was accommodating and helpful.

Our shower lacked a door which was a bit of a nuisance considering that we had to scrub the bathroom floor each time we took a shower. The only amenity provided was shampoo in a plastic bag, which did not meet our expectation. The breakfast provided a scarce selection of breads and pastries, however, it was continuously replenished throughout the morning.

Cute rooms with tiny terrace looking out over the canal. Everything was compact, but very comfortable. Breakfast with many options. Loved our stay there.

Gloria at reception was very nice and the check in process was good. The lady who served breakfast was also nice. Thank you to you both. Please pass on to them my compliments. I was in room 110, checked in 27th Feb and out 1st Mar 2023. Location is great. Breakfast is decent for the price you pay. There is no internet inside the rooms but I had my own data so that was not a problem. As long as the management maintains the hotel to a decent level like I found it then I believe they will continue to get better reviews.

The mattress was super hard something that a small layer of foam could take care of it. Not sure if anyone from the hotel will read this but that will make a huge difference. Please take note of it and think of it.

Breakfast was adequate, plenty of choice, plenty of time ( 7am -10am ). All seemed clean The room was spacious, clean,

We couldn’t get the tv to work, We would have loved a kettle in our room to make a coffee at our leisure, But the staff gave me boiling water when I requested it , and I brought my own cup, coffee and cremer- powder, so we sorted ourselves. There is no elevator in these classic hotels, which I so understand, But it is difficult lugging suitcases up stairs.

Great location between St Mark's Square and Rialto bridge

The location was optimal, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was quiet, no noise. The breakfast was great, a good variety. Loved the window in the breakfast room, seeing the gondolas going by was very nice.

The shower was leaking and the drain was blocked (room 303), the shower fitting was loose from the wall (room 204), the rooms and bathrooms are very small, but ok for 1 night. No elevator and very steep steps up to the rooms (I suppose there isn't anything you can do with old buildings).

The Location and the price for the location is great.

I was allocated a single room on the third room which was a challenge for my mobility asked to move if possible and next morning they moved me tothe first floor which really made a difference Staff always helpful and mostly spoke English

The foyer leaked during very heavy rain but they did do their best to dry up constantly during the day the weather was so severe

I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the hotel was, considering its busy location. It made for a comfortable and peaceful stay. Additionally, the hotel staff were very polite and helpful throughout my stay, which made me feel welcome and taken care of.

There was no Wi-Fi available in the rooms, but I still enjoyed my time at the hotel and it didn't detract from my overall experience.
