Hotel Il Moro di Venezia

Unbeatable location! Just minutes away from the railway station and a vaporetto stop. Very nice and friendly front desk staff. Excellent value for money!

The breakfast arrangements don't work very well. The breakfast room is quite small, and they don't necessarily fill all the tables due to covid (sometimes they did and sometimes they didn't). So if you come at the wrong time, you have to queue in the corridor. The staff doesn't speak English, and it's not self-service, so it's a bit challenging if you don't speak Italian. Excellent coffee though!

We had a great time - friendly, welcoming staff; a clean, quiet and comfortable room; tasty and filling breakfast (here we had our first pistachio-cream croissants and excellent double espressos). Fantastic location - it's only a 2-minutes walk, straight down the path from the Venetian train station and the main water-bus stops in front of it. The street the hotel is on is charming and offers everything you might need (there are not only various affordable souvenir shops, but also a supermarket, a mini-square, restaurants and even places with tasty and cheap ready-to-eat food). The 24-hour reception allowed us to leave our suitcases free of extra charges, then check in late in the evening, which meant we could spend the whole day out, exploring Venice. Great value for money!

Location, lift, breakfast, bathroom, view of the street , very clean, friendly staff.

I traveled with a friend. Booked 2 rooms. The bill said the tax was 40 euros for 2 people in 2 different rooms. So the receptionist said it would be 20 euros apiece. When we checked out we were charged 40 euros apiece. Is that right?? We only saved 20 in cash euros since we did a LOT of shopping so my friend had to put the tax on a credit card at 3AM. It should be made clearer so we had enough euros. We don't want to be bad tourists.

The location was amazing. Easy walking distance from bus and train stations which made transporting our luggage easy. It was located on a busy street with shops and dining options. Despite this, our room was very quiet and we got a great nights sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent too. Breakfast was delicious. The chocolate croissants were exceptional. Staff were all very friendly and check in/check out procedures were swift.

The beds were a little hard. Not too much that it disrupted our night but a little softer would have been ideal.

Good location which is close to Santa Lucia train station, Piazzale Roma where you can take the bus to and from Treviso Airport and also water buses. These are all within walking distance Cristina at the reception was exceptionally helpful. Although a 2 star hotel, served with lift, clean and good housekeeping

bit noisy as you can hear noises outside at night. Breakfast was good although repetitive and not much choice.

The hotel is very close to the railway station St Lucia, and also a walking distance from the main attractions (well, the whole island part of Venice is more or less within walking distance). But there are also these cheap route boats close, so you can use them too if you want to get to places faster. (Although beware, they are full of tourists!) The staff was all locals and very helpful. We've got good suggestions for eating away from the main touristic traps. Later, when we were drinking beers in the evening, I saw the guy from reception standing in line for food in the same place - so it was indeed a place where locals go :) The street was surprisingly quiet on Friday night, so sleeping was not a problem.

The shower was a walk-in without any door (only a shower curtain), so it was a bit of a student house feeling. It wasn't a problem for us at all, but it might be for someone. The price was a bit high compared to other places in Italy, but well, it is Venice :)

Very nice staff, helpful every time. Good location, near Piazzale Roma (about 5 min), Santa Lucia Station (about 2 min) & Ferrovia waterboat gate (opposite the S.L. Station). 20-25 min to Rialto Bridge & Piazza St Marco.

Breakfast was monotonous (only sweet things...) but very good. Coffee is brilliant! Cappuccino the best I have! I had ants in my bathroom but although I forgot to inform the staff, ants disappeared, never came back ;)

We liked everything, starting with the great location of the hotel and the reasonable price within and the exceptional attitude and service of the hotel staff. There is a very nice breakfast included which is awesome! Thank you very much, we love Venice.

There is a quite small dining room where the breakfast is served. There was a queue for breakfast, so we had to come twice till we had a table. That caused us a delay in our day plan, but it wasn't a disaster and we are grateful for the breakfast and the good service we've got.

Excellent staff - Angela and Ahmed went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We asked for a kettle and extra towel. Angela even gifted us a charger as we burnt ours due to incompatibility. Breakfast was yummy - yoghurt, croissants, buns and biscottis. We were given a pot of hot chocolate which was to die for!

The bathroom was very narrow so it might be unsuitable for disabled guests. There is a lift enough for three persons at a time.
