I recently stayed at Hotel Adua in Venice and had a pleasant experience. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. As expected, like many other hotels in Venice, the decor and overall ambiance of the hotel were a bit dated. However, this didn't bother us as we knew what to expect when booking. In terms of value for the location, we found it to be very good. The hotel's central location allowed us to explore Venice easily, and we felt it was worth the price we paid. Moreover, all the facilities in the hotel were in good working condition, adding to our comfort during the stay. Overall, Hotel Adua provided us with a convenient and pleasant stay in Venice, thanks to its friendly staff and excellent location.

Our host was an angel. Very friendly, accomodating and warm, Maria took the time to have a chat, explain everything we needed to know, give us any recommendations and ensure a thoroughly clean apartment was awaiting us. This apartment felt like a home away from home and we are very grateful for Maria for all that she did. Everything was in working order and in a great location! Close walk to the river, bus stop and supermarket and 20mins from the city centre, this quaint, vintage classic Italian apartment had everything you need! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Florence. Very reasonable price too compared to other properties going.

The stay was very pleasant and no hustles in the booking/check-in/out. The room size was good enough not cramped one. The help was always available in the front desk we did late check-in and early morning check-outs. They cleaned the room every day. I am much satisfied with the "value for money" wise. Please don't expect too fancy hotel experience. This is budget one with decent necessities. The biggest plus point is location and I don't need to cross any bridges to reach this hotel. Beware that you need to climb around 20 steps to reach the hotel reception, the rooms and reception are there in the first floor. The sign board is visible from distance and you wont find any difficulty to identify this one.

We particularly enjoyed the hotel's location, as it was close to the train station and public transport hub (less than 10 minutes walk). At the same time, the old Venice and main attractions are reachable on foot. The hotel occupies an authentic Venetian building, which adds on to the experience. The room was compact and tidy, cleaned daily. We were allowed to leave our luggage at the reception after check-out, which was extremely helpful.

The bathroom amenities could have been renewed (for example, a water tap in the bathroom was a bit difficult to open and close). It would also be great to have more storage space for clothes.

The check-in process was simple, and we (females) were offered a free room upgrade to a double room with en-suite since the shared room had a male occupant. We really appreciated this since it made us feel safer. The checkout process was also straightforward and we were able to store our luggage at the hotel for free. The location is excellent if you are coming from the train station (Venezia Santa Lucia) ~4 minutes walk, it's also near a supermarket and plenty of restaurants. Toiletries and towels were also included. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, perfect for our needs.

We could not figure out the aircon settings, some details on this would have been nice. The walls were somewhat thin, we could hear next door's occupant coughing.

The location is perfect for visiting Venecia; very convenient to arrive by train and leave your luggage without crossing bridges. Also very close to Piazzale Roma, where you would take the bus to the airport. Just to let you know, all the rooms, due to the Aqua Alta, are on the top floors with no lift. I recommend going to Pasticceria DALMAS in the same street; ask for the pistachio brioche, delicious!!!

The only minor thing is that the towels are a bit old, so they felt scratchy.

Family run, no frills hotel a stone's throw from the train station and at the beginning of the "Canareggio" neighbourhood. Strategic position for moving around Venice, area full of bars, restaurants and any facilities you might wish for. Safe and clean. We were housed in the annexe, triple room with external, shared bathroom. Room was basic but thoroughly clean and, given the position, reasonably quiet at night with the window closed. Air conditioning was working well and we appreciated it as one of the nights was quite muggy. Shared bathroom across the hallway, always clean and proper even though all rooms were occupied and hence, busy. My husband had to work one of the days and they allowed him to do so in the space formerly used as breakfast room. Owners super friendly and accommodating, Good quality-price ratio for such an expensive city as Venice. Recommended!

everything ok.

Hotel Adua is an easy and direct 10-15min walk from the bus dropoff or train station. It's in a busy tourist/commuter area so there's lots around. The staff was so friendly and the hotel is well kept. Rooms were super clean and even when one of the shared toilets got a little "out of sorts", the staff had fully cleaned it within 15 minutes. Our room didn't have a ton of light, but we didn't care. The beds were comfy and that's exactly what we needed after a lovely day in Venice!

I can't really think of anything. The only downside was just lack of natural light in our particular room (room 12). There are two doors you can open, but they open out to a balcony that's shared with neighbouring buildings so folks wash was hanging out to dry. No big deal. People have to do their laundry!

The proprietors of this hotel are A fantastic team who run this hotel the way it should be. we wished we stayed there longer and if we do return to Venice this will be our go to place. anyone who asks me a better recommendation will definitely hear the name Hotel Adua. As we were leaving(with our bags) my wife accidentally knocked over the proprietor wife’s coffee on the floor, of course they acted like it was no big deal but a real class act because I know how much we all love our coffee in the morning… if anyone isn’t out where to find a warm reception a clean room a comfortable bed and a fantastic room/bathroom setup this is the place! we truly hope to be back one day!

The only thing we didn’t like about the property is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Small hotel close to the central railway station. If you want a cheap place to spend a night and don't want to go every day to Mestre and have your hotel within walking distance - this is your choice. In total it was nothing to complain about, for that amount of money in a quite expensive city it is a good value for its money. The personnel was nice and responsive. There is a small kitchen on the second floor to make some quick food or have tea.

If you love to have some fresh air be aware while leaving the windows opened at night - you'll get some amount of hungry mosquitoes. But I don't think that's a hotel's problem, I guess it's the problem of a city with lots of canals) There was also one broken lock in one of the toilets, but it was not so critical.
