We do not understand the critical reviews for this hotel. It is not posh and has not changed for 50 years but it is excellent value for money. The staff were lovely, the room very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast absolutely fine. The location is perfect, just a minute's walk from the station. For a family for whom money is an important consideration, we completely recommend this hotel.

The location: excellent The room: spacious, clean, daily housekeeping, air-conditioned. The staff: Friendly and the cleaning staff, the staff at the restaurant are really so hard working and very nice. The reception team has one really lovely lady who is always smiling and willing to help. Breakfast: continental and plentiful. Coffee is really nice.

Room: floor needs fixing in room 114 as broken in places. The bathroom could do with a soap and shampoo dispenser rather than the sachets. Breakfast: we missed healthy options so would suggest a selection of fresh fruits and brown bread option. Overall thank you for a great stay above are just some suggestion to take it from 8 to 10star reviews.

location was VERY convenient to the train, sights and food!

the a/c not the strongest but it still was fine and we slept comfortably through the night.

Hotel is perfectly located a short walk from the train station.This definitely is a plus as guiding luggage over cobblestone sidewalks and bridges can be challenging! Room was comfortable with small bathroom. Wi-Fi was included though signal strength was an issue at times. Breakfast was included and offered a variety of food options.

Check-in was available starting at 2pm, however if arriving earlier you could store luggage in an unattended hallway (approximately 30 suitcases were crammed in the space overflowing into a sitting area). No HOT water on our only morning there. On checkout my husband mentioned this and staff said..oh yes, we are working on it)

Really close to train station. The hotel offeres baggage storage area and breakfast was included in the price. The room was clean, comfortable and simple. Breakfast was very well organised, with dedicated time slots and staff to serve you to reduce wanting time.

No place to hang the coats and the wardrobe had a shelf that split the actual space in 2 so still not possible to add my long coat. The heater (air conditioner) was a bit loud and took some time to fall asleep in the night.

The staff was excellent, very friendly and super helpful and always with a smile on their faces. They also arranged for wheelchair access which we appreciated a lot. The location was also perfect for us, since we wanted something close to the train station. The hotel is also very close to Ferovia vaporetto stop. The room and the bathroom were both very spacious.

There were no shelves where to put stuff. I had to keep all my stuff in the bag during the whole stay. The wardrobe that we had could only be used for very few hanging items. I think that there is space to add either some shelves or a small wardrobe.

The location was perfect, super close to the train station and vaporetto stop. The free breakfast was nice and the free luggage storage was ok but was just an unattended cubbie area anyone could get to, thankfully all our bags were fine for a couple hours.

Unfortunately, I believe the rain had made our room smell horribly musty and mildewy. It was a bit smelly in the hall too. Also the elevator was the smallest and slowest I've ever encountered. We ended up putting our heavy luggage in there by itself and taking the stairs to meet it (which we easily made it up and down 3 flights before the elevator arrived).

Given the fact that I needed and wanted to stay close-by to the train station, the location was excellent. When you want to stay closer to the main tourist attractions, this might not be the right place but I would still recommend it because everything can be easily reached by feet and boat if you want. Room size was ok. Rooms have been clean. I liked the large window front with private balcony (!!!) to the street. Breakfast need to be scheduled and was ok. Service was very friendly. Great value for money and I recommend it.

Walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything. I also do not understand why hotels make the check-in so complicated. You have to wait, wait and wait - especially when you have another person in front of you who takes 15 minutes. And then you have again to fill out the same information that you need to provide in every hotel. All this information could have been provided upfront online (including passport copy if necessary) making the check-in so much more convenient. I really don't understand why hotels make the check-in so awkward when I see how easy it is when you book your own city apartment instead.

location is THE most convenient practicality next to the train Station. many restaurants nearby. next to Vaporetto water bus to go down Grand Canal to St. Marco’s Square or Murano. you can walk to the Square and experience all the shops, restaurants and pubs along the way. a direct walk takes you to Ponte Rialto on the way.

most European Hotels are in old buildings so get over expecting modern US conveniences and amenities. the hotel is clean and efficient, friendly staff and the rooms are comfortable. there is no elevator for the few upstairs rooms so be prepared to carry your luggage. No big deal, pack lighter. all people in our group had en suite bathrooms. I heard some rooms share a bath so ask when booking. breakfast is nice with Italian cold cuts, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, croissants. Learn some basic Italian as well for staff.

Excellent location, easy to find, helpful staff, easy check in, generous sized room,huge bathroom, walk in shower with stool (helpful for those with mobility issues or those who are too hot/tired to stand up to shower, like I was 😆), air con, cute little balcony overlooking the nice quiet street. Beautiful.

Could have done with a little fridge, there is a kitchenette but nowhere to store cold items (milk for coffee, for example). Teeny tiny lift, but this can't be helped-this is more of an issue for those with mobility issues which wasn't a problem for us.
