Hotel Nazionale

The hotel has 2 buildings. The main building is fully renovated and the room is excellent. The other building is slightly older but the room still very clean and maybe even more comfortable. Both rooms I stayed in old and main building were spotlessly clean. The location is simply great. Literally next to the train station and all the taxi/water busses to the city center with all the main attractions. There are fast foods, restaurants and supermarkets near by and the location is safe to walk around. The staff was very helpful and polite. Great choice if you don’t want to pay a fortune in Venice but still want to have a comfortable and clean room. I tried the breakfast for 10€ and was nice.

At first, I was given a room without curtains, but after my request it was arranged to change room the very next day.

1. Location. Excellent. It's close to the train station, close to the main vaporetto stop (Ferrovia), and close to the Alilaguna stop (Linea Arancia) near Il Ponte della Guglie that will get you to the airport. Both places are easily within walking distance. Also close to a pharmacy, grocery store and self-service laundromat in case you need those things. 2. The hotel is clean and well-kept. 3. The staff are friendly, kind and helpful. Don Agostino is especially kind and gracious. Monica patiently helped me to get connected to the hotel WiFi. The restaurant staff are friendly. The bellhop was always smiling and polite. 4. Breakfast was tasty. 5. The room had a nice desk and closet. The windows could be opened for fresh air. When I return to Venice, I will stay here again. I always felt safe here. This is a good place for solo female travelers.

The mattress was uncomfortable. It was kind of lumpy.

Good breakfast for very fair price (5€) with fresh fruit salad every day and gluten free options (on request). Otherwise very good location and small but cozy room with renovated bathroom.

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit skeptical, but I have to say my experience here was amazing. The staff was very professional and accommodating from day one, bed was comfy, a/c was working just fine, the bathroom was clean and new, it’s located in a busy part of town but the hotel’s actually very quiet, I slept amazing (I was so comfortable in my bedroom that I overslept, but being so close to the station came in handy, I just had to walk for 5 minutes and I was on the train). I’d definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends.

Excellent location convenient to the train station and with vaporetto stops nearby for easy transport to the major sights. Also near to smaller canals that have restaurants hosting a mix of locals and tourists, rather than tourist-focused restaurants. Breakfast was extensive; ten euro always feels expensive to me, but it seems to be the standard breakfast price at hotels and it includes plenty of food at the buffet.

Location - very close to the train station, which is what I needed. Also close to supermarkets, convenient for buying fruit, snacks, water when returning to the room. About 25 min away from San Marco, at a slow pace, through the streets. Breakfast - the usual Italian style, not much, many options on the sweet side Room - small (single room, single bed), but very clean. Bathroom was 2 or 3 steps down, but it didn't bother me. Everything was very clean. Staff - very polite and professional

The location is perfect. Even though it's on the main strip near the station it was super quiet. It was incredibly convenient and there's a cute little place for a coffee or quick snack a couple of doors down. Breakfast was €10 each but there was a lot of variety.

Be prepared for lots of stairs to get up to the main reception, but there is a small lift to use for getting bags up and down. The mosquitoes come into your room if you want to leave your room's windows open. The air-conditioning wasn't super responsive but we didn't want to use it.

The rooms decor was lovely, shower room ideal. The location of the hotel was ideal for me, I arrived by train, and left by bus, both stations located minutes away. The hotel was ideally located for site seeing. Water taxis located minutes away, lots of bars , and restaurants , right on the door step, and a we'll stocked spar shop just doors away which I found very useful.

The room was small, and the single bed , OK for me , but I'm medium build, and less than 6 foot tall, i think a larger person would find it less comfortable. The reception staff weren't over friendly, but functional .

I absolutely loved this hotel. Everything from the entrance and stairs up to reception, to the decor of the room itself, felt very classic Venice and I love that it has been kept that way. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, as it was just minutes from the train station but a very easy walk to everywhere else in Venice as well.
