5 min from the train station S. Lucia by feet. View to the Canal Grande (at least from room 605). Very fine WiFi Nice staff!

Breakfast is served in the hotel Abbazia, nearly in the same building. Last weekend (28.-31.10.) both breakfast locations were full at 8:30

We stayed at the B&B side of the property (hotel side is Hotel Abbazia). When we arrived, I asked the lady at the front desk if she could help us get a reservation for that day as it was my son's birthday. Not only did she get a great restaurant, she also told the manager about my son's bday so they prepared a little something and my baby got to blow a candle! As for our room, I thought it would look old and dated based on the pictures but in person it looked really, really elegant. It was also very spacious! Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options to choose from. I highly recommend this hotel!

A fantastic property right on the Grand Canal. The room we had was large (especially by European standards) and more than sufficient for our needs. The front desk staff were amazing and very helpful. The restaurant staff were the opposite - rude and grumpy - but at least the breakfast was a good start to the day. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the train station - this cannot be overemphasised in Venice - walking over all those bridges with suitcases would not be fun!

It wasn't a big thing for us as we were up but there is quite a bit of conversation on the canal outside the window from quite early in the morning as deliveries etc take place. If you wanted a quiet morning this could be a concern.

Abbazia De Luxe was such an amazing hotel to stay in Venice. It was central to everything, we did not need to take the vaporetto anywhere, we walked to San Marco Square, to Bovolo tower, to La Fenice and we found delicious little cafes and restaurants nearby. A super bonus is that its right next to the train and bus stations only a couple minutes away, this prevented us from having to pay for expensive water taxis or walking for long periods with heavy luggage through crowded Venice. The view from our room was exceptional, we were able to see the Grand Canal. The room was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious, they had fruit, meats, cheeses, pastries, pancakes, cereals and so much more. The staff was so kind and hospitable. When Ravenna was flooded and we couldn't get into the city, they helped us find a new room. Special thanks to the lady who helped us with the wifi issues and the young man who helped us find a lavanderia and a new room, you both were outstanding.

Everything was perfect. My only issue which is particular to my situation was that I needed very fast wifi for video calling due to a work emergency happening on my vacation, the staff was very helpful to try to get me the best wifi possible. In the end, I found that near the breakfast room had excellent speeds for video calling. Otherwise, the wifi was perfect for use on my phone for social media, whatsapp and searching Google. Again, this is an edge case scenario.

What a beautiful room!! Located in a former monastery, the high wooden ceilings and history were a wonderful surprise. Our room had two windows opening directly facing the canal but remaining quiet at night. It had a huge walk in closet, very spacious bathroom with a spa tub and the breakfast provided was excellent. The staff here are very experienced and helpful. We got to Venice very early in the morning and were able to leave our luggage in the lobby until we came back later on. Location is very close to the train station and also a main water bus stop where you can buy a day pass. Also an easy walk to main sights.

Terrific location only 200 meters walk from main Santa Lucia Train Station and no water to cross! Paid the extra for the room overlooking Grand Canal and it was well worth it! Wonderful to watch the passing parade; gondolas plying back and forth also listening to groups singing and an accordionist playing in the late evening. Truly a Venician experience to brag about!

The stairs to access reception and then the accommodation were many and steep. Luckily the able-bodied receptionist was on hand to help with our cases. Bathroom was a little dated with shower over the bath. However for the Canal ambience it was well worth it. Very easy to access early train ride the follwing morning. Would definitely stay again!!

We stayed in a canal view room. It is an old monastery with beautiful beams in the ceiling and the view looked out over the Grand Canal. The bathroom was very nice with a double shower. Even though it was located in a very busy area, when we closed the windows and shutters it was quiet at night. Very conveniently located quite near to the train station so we didn't have to lug our suitcases all over Venice or over the huge bridges. The breakfast was very good with lots of options.

There are lots of stairs up to the room we stayed in, no elevator. Mattress was a little too firm for me.

The location was great, two minute walk from the train station and no bridges to cross. Staff were really helpful and our luggage was delivered and brought from our room. We had a room overlooking the grand canal which we loved but if you want somewhere quieter this might not be for you. However with the window closed it was ok. The room and the bathroom were very nice. The de luxe is connected to the Abbazia hotel where breakfast is served. The garden here is lovely.

Nothing to dislike really. Our room had a fairly steep stairs to it which might be a problem if you have mobility issues.

Stephan at the front desk was amazing and ensured we had a great visit to Venice. He gave us recommendations on where to go, what to stay away from, and helped us with the train schedule so we could make it to our next stop safely. The room was very clean and the view was just what I was hoping for! It is about a 2 minute walk to the train station and only minutes to major landmarks and points of interest. Overall, for my first visit to Italy, I couldn't be happier with our stay at Abbazia De Luxe! Thank you Stephan!!

Breakfast in the garden was wonderful. They were doing some construction but it was blocked off and the garden was still beautiful. We had stayed there before due to the convenience to train station. After strolling the streets and seeing so many tourists trying to lug their baggage across the bridges we really appreciated the Abbazia’s location.

Steep stairs to get to check in.
