everything about this hotel is location, location,location you walk out the front lobby and the best beach playa Centro is right there .the whole vibe is a beach town at 9:00 am nobody is on the island yet by 1:00 pm thousands of people come over by ferry from Cancun to experience the top beach in Mexico!! you are right there!! for about $120 u.s. a night at about 8:30 pm the whole crowd goes back to Cancun and you get to enjoy fantastic night life without a lot of people the hotel is nothing special 2.5 stars at most but it great because of the location, location,location

Very very nice people. Great location. Easily Walkable to the wonderful North beach, the ferry, restaurants and shops. The pool is pretty and large. We felt safe and welcome and in an area humming with the vibrancy of Mexico. The rooms had great AC, the hotel is open air besides rooms, so you are not in a world apart from the island. Nice restaurant location with average prices, live music in the afternoon. The beach and party is cleaned every morning.

There can be loud partiers on the beach across the street on Sat night, but the hotel is not part of it. Its good for the economy I guess, but not what we were on the island for.

Beautiful CLEAN room, excellent breakfast, super tidy pool area, very close to the beach. We had lower expectations according to the reviews we had read before our trip. The hotel was a pleasant surprise! They have significantly improved! It is Highly appreciated and recommended!! Thanks a Lot!

The male receptionist lacks some good breeding. When we arrived he did not find our reservation and instead of calming us down he was very rejecting. Not until I gave him our reservation code did he treated us as humans. BUT this was the one and ONLY negative episode during our stay. It is a really stunning place!

CLOSE TO MOST EVERYTHING WE WANTED. THE BEACH, RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING.

THE POOL WAS TO COLD. THINGS IN THE ROOM REQUIRED REPAIR , BUT IT WAS APPARENT THAT GIVING THEM A LIST WOULD FALL ON DEAF EARS. HAVING SAID THAT THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY BUT WHEN I MADE SEVERAL REQUESTS TO THREE DIFFERENT STAFF PERSONNEL THEY ALL SAID THE SAME THING “ I WILL HAVE SOMEONE COME TO YOUR ROOM AND HELP YOU. THEY ALL KNEW MY CONCERNS BUT NOBODY EVER CAME OR CALLED.

Perfect location! Swimming pool and bar/ restaurant was great. Room was nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable and pillows too.

First time I showered there wasn’t hot water. Maybe I didn’t wait long enough. Thereafter there was hot water every time. Suggest that you take you own beach towel. There are free towels for swimming pool and to take to beach but you have to pay 200 Pesos deposit and they are a bit washed out. I just used my own swimming towel. Not allowed to use their bathroom towels at swimming pool.

It's across the street from the beach, the pool was clean, and it was in a great location!

The bed was hard.

This hotel has a fantastic location, across the street from a beautiful white sand beach, and on the edge of town, with all its shopping, restaurants, bars and access to tours and activities. The restaurant/bar overlooks the tourist parade of the main road as well as the beach, and all the meals we had there were delicious. Large cocktails can be purchased for takeaway. The clean pool has plenty of loungers from which to enjoy the excellent drinks made at the small bar at the back and to listen to the afternoon music. We changed rooms, and our second room (on the 3rd floor) was very good, located in the newer section, and with a fridge. Recommendation: opt to pay the additional cost for the better rooms in the right hand building, which all have balconies with view and many have been renovated. We were shown several to choose from, and were very happy with the one we got. Decent price for Isla Mujeres.

Some of the rooms are in need of renovation, including mildewed curtains and bathroom ceilings. All those we saw had been well cleaned, but some needed work. If you're not happy with your room, check out some others.

The location is amazing, value is fantastic and the people are always friendly, helpful & accommodating! The beds are slightly harder than we care for and they didn't have the requested king this time but that was a minor inconvenience. The rooms are very clean & the cleaning staff does a great job every day (they even put towel characters on the beds). We especially LOVE Romy's Bar (and Romy!!), located right at the pool. There is also a restaurant that offers excellent food and a bar onsite. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable stay with a convenient location & exceptional value, Posada Del Mar is the place!!

Beds are little stiff. They didn't have a King available. The Wifi was out for a couple days. All minor inconveniences. They could offer room service, which would be a great addition.

The location, right across the road from Centro beach and close to Norte beach, is excellent for this non-all-inclusive hotel. Short walk to downtown bars and restaurants but two good restaurants at the hotel, along with a fine swimming pool and poolside bar service from exceptional, friendly bartender Romy. Friendly, helpful staff, especially Marco and Angel, and an oustanding massage service by the pool run by Carolina, a real sweetheart. Great value for money and would gladly stay there again.

First night we stayed in old section of hotel, but upgraded to new section by the pool for a small price increase. Worth getting the fridge and nicer room. Would recommend.
