Ixchel Beach Hotel

The hotel is on the most gorgeous beach I've ever seen. The downtown area is just outside your door and all the restaurants were amazing. A/C in our room was nice and cold. The beach servers were outstanding.

Our room location was not disclosed until arrival. I really wanted a room with a nice ocean view (our room type was ocean view) since it was my husbands birthday and we love sitting on the balcony enjoying a view. We got a ground floor room with the patio right next to the restaurant so it was incredibly awkward to sit there. The freezer was rusted shut. The beds were very hard and my back was sore the whole time. They ask you not to "reserve" beach chairs but guests did it anyways and even though we came out early, we never got chairs in the front row.

The rooms are like little apartments. I was in a standard room and it was probably one of the best rooms I’ve had. Big comfortable bed and amazing view of the water. My family had a suite and it was gigantic! Also with a beautiful view of the beach from the balcony. The staff was friendly and had great customer service.

Staff at restaurant,and Emilio, the waiter at the beach were a outstanding! The restaurant could use some electric fans since is outdoors and you sit just sweating while eating. However the waitress,and the waiter we’re just wonderful people doing their best to give great service to hotel guests.

I did not booked the suite because I was vacationing with my adult daughter, so we needed a two bed room. I booked the regular room with 2 full size beds and the description also said the room had a balcony. The room had 1 king bed. When I told them on arrival that I had booked a two bed room ,first I was told that I had booked the one bed room. I insisted that I I had booked a two bed room they checked the reservation. Even though I had made the reservation with months in advance. They refused to give us another room. Later on they sent a twin bed to the room., but refused to move us to a two bed room if it became available later on during our 11 days, 10 nights stay.

The location of the property was amazing! 10min walk from the ferry to the hotel. Easy to walk with carry on or suitcases. The hotel was right next to the main strip with shops, restaurants, and bars (the patio was great place). The hotel rooms were very large, we received a upgrade and we’re given a balcony and hot tub on the roof which was beautiful at sunset. If going to Isla mujeres, I highly recommend staying here. The beach is a public beach but it was never a problem finding lounge chairs. You can rent a golf cart from multiple places on the island if you want to explore the south part and punta Sur. It was easy to rent and travel around.

The lounge chairs could be upgraded but we’re still amazing!!! Our check out time was 11:30-12 and the man at the front called our room at 11:30 to ask us if we were ok and basically why we haven’t left yet. That part was unnecessary due to the fact we have a window to check out by and we’re collecting our things to leave.

Location is perfect, absolutely beautiful and walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Property is well kept and comfortable. Housekeeping does a wonderful job on keeping condo clean during stay.

Front desk does not have currency exchange as listed on website, nor do they have change for larger bills which was unfortunate for housekeeping because we could've left a much better tip, which I felt really bad about because they were wonderful.

Great facilities in the heart of the North End. Good access to restaurants and shops.

The beachfront is packed and incredibly Noisy throughout the day. If you want to enjoy a natural quiet beach, this is not it.

The location, the staff and the comfort were excellent! We really enjoyed our stay, everything went smoothly and the staff was very nice and helpful! It's location is perfect. In front of the nicest beach, with service from the hotel on the beach, close to the main area for going out to restaurants and bars, but without being too close, keeping it a quiet and relaxing place. I would go there again and it is highly recommended.

There was nothing I did not like. I would prefer a bigger gym, but the existence of one and with the machines it has, it is much appreciated.

The location is ideal and on one of the most beautiful beaches! The room was very clean and maintained daily. The shower was hot and the space was ample.

I emailed the property because I left behind a very cherished blanket, and no-one even responded :-((. We also found that the front desk staff was not very knowledgeable about the area or guiding us in the right direction when we had questions. Receiving a detailed map of the island also would have been helpful.

Everything about the hotel was great. The suite was comfortable, roomy, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The hotel is located ocean front on a beautiful beach. There's a bar and restaurant and they provide room service at a fair price. The pool area is clean, there are beach towels available for guests. We felt very safe as well.

We liked everything.
