the location is right on a great walking street with lots of live music. the building has a fun street view of all the action. the room is very cute and comfortable and the king bed was nice.

the only problem was noise until late at night, but we expected this and we’re still able to sleep without a problem. the rooftop balcony was also but really usable because the chairs were being fixed, but it wasn’t too much of a problem because we used our private balcony to lounge outside anyways.

I absolutely loved the Mexican charm of this hotel. The decorations were beautiful, my bed was comfortable, and for flying solo the location was perfect. it was a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 10 second walk to delicious restaurants and shopping. The roof top seating area was so pretty and quaint. Right in the middle of town, but I felt far away when gazing off the rooftop. JoJo was a great host. I didn’t get to meet her, but she responded quickly and satisfied all of my requests. Plus, as a guest at Tres Mentiras, you get discounts at certain restaurants. The local food was very delicious.

My room was on the roof top, so the two sets of narrow stairs without railings became a little cumbersome. But by no means did this ruin my experience at the hotel. the coffee pot and microwave were located on the top floor in a communal location. They both looked a bit dusty like they hadn’t been used/cleaned in a while, so this deterred me from using them. One of the eight nights I stayed there, around 3am construction began on one of the buildings on the main road (which is right where the hotel is located). It was very unexpected and jolted my senses. The music plays very loud every night until 2am. This doesn’t bother me, but the noise level could prove to be too much for some.

Jo was very responsive to any of our needs. The location is so close to everything and that does include the bars and music. We knew the music level before booking and were prepared. We were there for fun, not quite relaxation.

Two sets of fairly steep stairs from the street. If you have physical challenges this could be difficult.

Clean, comfortable room right down the street from the beach. Jo (host) is super responsive and was waiting for us to arrive after numerous delays. She’s the sweetest! Great little terrace for people watching, and you will be right in the middle of everything on the busiest street in town. Staff at the bar were super nice and Tres Mentiras has amazing food!

Only issue was the noise. Music plays for almost the entire day, and gets even louder at night. Like, really loud o_O Not a good fit if you’re looking to relax with minimal noise pollution, but great if you’re looking to party!

Beautiful location. Right next to the busy restaurants which can get noisy but you are pre warned about this. Room was basic but lovely, bed was huggeeeee. Cool swings on the roof top and free water available. Definitely recommend,for the price you can't go wrong.

Nice rooftop area for morning coffee and evening relaxing. Very convenient location.

I can’t really say there was anything we didn’t like about the property. Maybe only that there was no view from our particular room. Other rooms had balconies.

Very large, clean room. Super comfortable king bed, nice sheets, pillows and towels. Nice shaded area on terrace with comfortable seating. Front row seating to watch Hidalgo if we wanted. Very good wifi in room and in common areas. Shared area with coffee pot. Smart TV to log into your Netflix. Great water pressure, hot water, large shower. Great AC. Excellent location, near the beach, loncherias, restaurants. Noise was not an issue, maybe because everything shuts down at 11 right now because of Covid curfew. No front desk.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tres Mentiras. The location is incredible - right on the main street and a 3 minute walk to the Playa Norte. Our room was really big and spacious, with a fridge and balcony. The rooftop terrace is amazing and provides a great space to chill if you don't want to go to a bar/restaurant. We really enjoyed everything that was provided for guests to use (books to borrow, free coffee/tea and water, sunscreen, and even a hat!).

We visited during COVID times so everything closed after 10pm, but I can imagine it would be quite loud otherwise.

Great location, friendly staff, clean room and wonderful customer service from Jo with golf cart rental amongst other things.

The stairs are pretty steep when entering the property and you’ve got to duck to not hit your head when trying to close the door behind you.
