Super comfortable rooms, amazing roof terrace, the coffee and water available, nice toiletries and finishing touches, good air con. Everything is really high quality and chilled out vibe

It’s a little bit past the main areas for eating etc but in reality it’s only a 10 min walk maximum to get to to the action and it’s more than offset by the good price on offer. The staff were nice but could’ve been more helpful as when we checked in very little info was given (where to eat, the beach access, pastries in the morning), was basically a case of giving the keys and little else

Location was great and staff was extremely attentive and friendly. I really enjoyed having daily access to the Martina Beach Club! I was walking distance to delicious food options from vegan friendly for me to meat friendly for the person I was with. There was a great selection of fresh fruit directly across the street; the little market also offered snacks, drinks and other small items. I found the PERFECT stand with the best fresh coconut water less than 3 blocks away. The location is only blocks away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy attractions while not being right in the middle of it. This was nice after long days of being surrounded by people and noise. Close enough to get to it, but far enough away to disengage. Oh and if walking is not an issue for you, the local beach is also an option; it may be about 15 - 20 mins depending on your pace.

Beds were as hard as a slab of concrete. However, that seems to be a problem in Quintana Roo.

This hotel looked exactly like the pictures. It was an easy enough distance from the beach, food places, and little stores to get snacks. It’s also a nice distance away from hustle and bustle of 5th ave. so it was pretty quiet at night, except for the neighborhood dogs barking in the middle of the night. The staff has a neat way of communicating with their guests; there’s a QR code in the room to chat with the front desk if you need anything. They’re really prompt with your requests.

Beds were too firm for my liking and the air conditioner wasn’t strong enough.

This hotel is recommandabele! Really enjoyed staying here. It’s located in Colosio, so not in the middle of the hustle and bustle from Playa’s main streets. Therefore very relaxed vibes. The staff is super kind and helpful. Andre was very welcoming. The rooftop is stunning and so peaceful! The room was very clean and smelled amazing! We forgot to ask: what spray does the cleaning staff use?

Tip: apparently some work was being done on the roof terrace. It would have been nice if we were informed in advance, as the work was taking place right above our room.

I love the ambiance of the hotel itself. The staff was amazing! Specially Celine and tatiana at the reception. They were both very friendly and accommodating. They made sure our stay was smooth. They also offer pastries which is really good for breakfast. Other than that the lady who cleans our room is also amazing. I didn’t get to ask her name but her hairstyle give it all with her curls on the side of her ears hehe . If i was to go back in playa del carmen i would book it at Balkón boutique again. Thank you!

Our room was on the first floor where there is a concrete wall in front of the window. So there is no view, it is a bit depressing. And also from 5-7 am there is a big smoke and smell with it, so we could not sleep. We asked for a room change, but there was not one. After cleaning, we did not receive a shower gel refill and one towel was missing. Otherwise come here, because it is absolutely worth the money, but do not book the same room.

I loved it but they didn’t have water running in my hotel room. Therefore, I had to shower in another hotel of theirs but sleep in my room with a non-functioning shower while it was 32 degrees. They did provide a solution but I think you should provide the customer a new room and not request me to shower 2 blocks further and sleep in the same room. The hotel in itself is very lovely. The hotel is nice and very pretty. If you are a solo female traveller, I would say take another hotel closer to the beach and tourist area. I did not feel safe but the hotel is great!

My bathroom didn’t work! However, the staff was nice and tried to provide a solution. Plus, the area is not good. If you google it, even google says:” Don’t go there”. I was travelling solo as a woman and after 21pm I felt very unsafe. I had a few men follow me. If you are a solo female traveller, I would say take another hotel closer to the beach and tourist area. I did not feel safe but the hotel is great!

Beautiful facilities, everything seems brand new, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Super cute rooftop pool, we loved it! The location is around 10 min away walking distance from the main area 5th avenue of Playa.

They charged us for 2 bottles of water in the room which usually are complimentary… and they have coffee machine in the room but only 2 capsules free. Anyhow just small details that could make our stay 100% pleasant, but overall we loved it.
