Hotel A.S. Lisboa

The location of the hotel is excellent it being just above the Alameda (red and green lines) metro station, which is a central connection to the city centre and most importantly a direct 20 minute line from the airport. The surroundings are nice with the green park just in front of the hotel where one can have a beer at the kiosk’s tables just in front of the hotel. The room is amply large and clean. The bed is fairly comfortable. The bathroom is also of ample size and good (and perhaps too strong) water pressure and hot water. The breakfast is ample and satisfactory. Most important of all, the hotel it being situated in a very busy traffic area, the windows insulation is perfect in that the window overlooking the street has two double insulated windows one on the outer side and the other on the inner side, and thus the street noise outside is completely deadened and shut off. Only the emergency vehicles’ sirens (which is quite frequent) penetrate this insulation, but then such noise is heard throughout the neighbourhood. The wi-fi is stable and strong. The staff are helpful and courteous and speak fairly good English.

The hotel is situated just above the Alameda metro station (red and green lines). The rattle of the trains passing underneath every circa 10 minutes in felt throughout the hotel. However, this is a small price to pay for the convenience of having the metro station just under the hotel, and you soon get used to it. Of course, during the night (11.00 p.m. - 5.30 a.m.) the metro is silent.

Location is near metro on high side of city. Bathroom is clean and great. Cofeemaker in room. Room for 3 people is spacious enough. Breakfast has good cofee and deserts, pasteles, meats and cheese choice, fresh bread. Reception staff was helpful and informative.

walls and floor in our room had some strange defects that gave some uncomfortable feelings. Soundproof was very poor, there was a gap between floor and entering door. So if your neighbors on same floor keep yelling and smashing doors it can be painful at night. May be noise sensors on cameras in floor halls can be helpful to detect and prevent such guests activity. Light switches were tricky to operate. Breakfast lacks fresh vegetables.

There was so much to like. Starting with the very awake and helpful receptionist, on my arrival at 11pm on a Thursday night. I loved the fact that I asked for a view on my booking, and I got a room on the 10th floor with exactly that....a view of Lisbon and the ocean. Windows which opened to let in the air, double glazing, with block out curtains for the morning. I will never understand it, but I had a most beautiful, body massage chair in my room. This is most unusual!! The TV was really large and connected to hidden speakers. Great lighting with individual switches, even the bathroom lighting would be considered great, by a model doing make up. There was a flat, scale inside my bedroom and a big one at the lobby door. Really great for people flying. The breakfast was really adequate, it had a small selection of all breakfast components. But the breakfast terrace had a lovely view with an outdoor area. Location is excellent. I walked down to the ocean on the first day, then I discovered the subways were right outside the hotel.

The air conditioner was either on 18° or off. There was no way to Make it warmer. I thought that the selection of toiletries was rather limited, as there was nothing but toothbrushes and toothpaste, as well as soaps. On the day I checked out, I did notice that the service trolley had all the usual toiletries, just that, in the 3 nights I was there, my room was never given any body lotion, shampoo etc. Not sure why, because I actually needed them.

This was our second stay here. We like the peace, coolness, tidyness and very good location near Metro. We had a comfort room upgraded for no charge! It included a massage chair, which we loved 😀

For some renovations being made the breakfast was in the roof bar 11th floor . It was not a good solution. There was not enough food and one morning they had no black tea. One could see how busy they were trying to make everything work, but... the view was good though 😄

Breakfast was very simple and same everyday but it was nice, there was bakery and you can make whatever coffee you want from the coffee machine. Location was great as it was about 12/14 mins from the airport, and close by to all touristic spots, metro station and a bus stop right outside too. And the room we got was at the very top floor, 11th floor which was just wow and the views were fantastic!

Well one day goin by lift we clicked to go to 10th floor instead of 11, and basically the whole 10th floor was under construction, which is fair enough and then we realized there were no stairs at all to go up or down, just the lift..Which was a bit worrying, as usually in case of emergencies and fire you have to use the stairs and there was none.. Also there was an add/ poster in the lift and outside of the lift saying 'rooftop bar top floor' I thought it was great lets go have a look...and sure we were the top floor, there was no bar and no where to even have that rooftop bar so that was definetly dissapointing..

The breakfast was just amazing—the best I had among all the accommodations that I stayed in Portugal. The location was also excellent. The only minor complaint was the AC unit... it was a fairly hot day and the AC was not able to cool down the room accordingly. Other than this, everything was great.

Very clean room/common areas, comfortable beds, supperB coffee machine in room (with free pods, refilled every day), nice view from 11th floor, central location, good breakfast (continental and cooked), very kind staff at reception and in breakfast room. The hotel provided free toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, shower caps, toothbrushes with paste! razors with cream!) is incredible for a 3 🌟 hotel.

Only one chair in room. There is enough room for a sofa or two armchair for sitting. The room has a safe but was not fixed to the wall! Also tha bathroom door was in vary bad condition.

Breakfast was outstanding, great hot foods and loads of pastries. Especially loved the cappuccino!! Also really liked the wonderful water pressure in the shower. This hotel was located right at the subway line and had a huge park in front of it. Lisbon airport is connected to the metro system so we didn’t use any taxis to get around Lisbon. The hotel is surrounded by local restaurants and there’s a great Italian called Portofino just a block away that serves fantastic food with great service! Take the metro, it was clean and safe and it takes you all over Lisbon!

For the price, there wasn’t anything to dislike, the room was one of the cleanest we have ever seen and we have stayed in many higher priced hotels!

Breakfast had something for everyone.

Booking indicated hotel transportation only reason I chose them. I was traveling with a person that just left the hospital traveling with a wheelchair. Found out I had to use a taxi. Not only did I not have Euros but had to go to an ATM but to pay a transfer fee. It was emergency travel only one night layover. Please booking present only what the hotels will accommodate. A chair was needed in bedroom for woman with only a walker. Hotel staff had to get permission to provide one. Fortunately they were able to furnish one.

Excellent service and very good location. Breakfast was served at -1 floor and was rich with dirrerent kinds of foods. It was a buffet. Our room was in 10th floor, quiet and clean, air conditioned. It also had a massaging chair as i had booked a comfort room. The massage chair is very relaxing after walking long days at Lisbon. Room was cleaned daily.

We only got one key for the room, two would have served us better. Bed was hard but I covered the middle with extra cushions so it worked for me.
