Loved the pool area and quiet room just what we wanted

Bathroom was completely open, when asking to relocate as here with my friend the lady at the desk simply said ‘we get a lot of complaints about this’ she decided to give me an discounted upgrade which I was under the impression was a seperate bathroom but when arriving to the second room there was only a curtain over the shower with toilet still open. When explaining she told me it was a view upgrade with a black out certain. Not really what i’d hoped for when paying for a separate upgrade, if they get so many complaints I suggest installing doors to the bathroom for privacy.

Location, quiet but central. Staff were super friendly, efficient and helpful, room was excellent in every respect. Breakfast was excellent.

Hotel poilcy was to supply free coffee capsules for the first day only. After that guests had to pay extra for more capsules. This is a very strange and somewhat mean policy for such an otherwise excellent hotel. Another small complaint was the use of cannabis by some guests in the pool area. I don't know if this is legal in Portugal but we found the smell offensive. The staff did not appear appear to see this occurring as they were occupied with a full pool area.

Staff were exceptional; everyone we dealt with was friendly, helpful and competent. The room was quite comfortable, and a good size (larger than rooms in many other hotels in the area). This is one reason we chose this hotel because we were staying 6 nights. We have stayed near the Marques de Pombal before, and like the neighborhood. It’s close to the main tourist areas but much less crowded and is right near a metro stop. It’s also partly residential, and benefits from a mix of locals and tourists.

The only problem we encountered was with the design of the shower (it’s long, with glass walls, and there are no grab bars). For able bodied persons there’s no issue. For guests with balance or mobility issues, it’s worth discussing with the hotel to see if it will meet your needs.

The staff were incredible especially Helder, Khan,Joanna, Miguel and Mohammed. All the receptionist were lovely as well! the team at the restaurant during breakfast were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where they truly treat their guest with respect and kindness. I had an incredible stay with my mum, I celebrated my birthday and was made extremely special. On my first day I was left with a little birthday treat inside my room & on my actual birthday Khan and Brito surprised me with a cake and candle plus a glass of sparkling rosé at the bar. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing! what really stood out was the lactose free milk!!!

I didn’t enjoy the spa facility, the indoor pool is freezing which made me and my mum very unwell during our stay. the steam room was cold we informed the spa staff twice however they didn’t understand or help. Where the pool is located has a very odd smell as well. it’s a shame the spa wasn’t up to standard as it was something we were really looking forward to. The spa looks different from the pictures on the website it’s very small.

Absolutely the kindness of the staff! From arrival till check out they are very ATTENT to the needs of the visitor and are ALWAYS a step ahead! EYE for detail, a big respect from us! Frol the guy who gets my luggage (70kg) to my room (5th floor) and pardons himself it took so long (literally 4min!) till the room maid who leaves the room always VERY NEAT. Even if u dont put the card outside to clean it up! A big thank you also to Dana and her other female colleague who helped me with the information and more to get to Troia, very beautiful! Filipe from the lobby also not to forget, very kind guy! Restaurant staff also really kind! Did not forget the girl with the glasses and the and the bit darker girl, very sharp eye for when your last sip of coffee is to be there in one minute to ask if u like more! And last, not forget to mention.. One of our favourites; Joana!! The lady of the customer service has a heart of GOLD! Very sweet woman and and an professional in interacting with the visitors! We did not forget about your lovely gift due to extending our stay! I hope you liked the flowers! Amazing hotel with an ELITE STAFF! We’ll come back 100%! Goodbye!

the best breakfast i had in a city hotel in Europe- great variety of different things- more like a brunch than breakfast, and im very difficult food wise being a vegetarian room is quit big nice spa facilities I also had a massage at the spa- i will defiantly go back to this hotel just because of that!

the shower- it wasnt possible to close the door that is very wide- so- no privacy, and you get very cold the lobby of the hotel looks like a 3 stars hotel, so so simple. the towels are not so good- not soft no tea in the room- just coffee. but they will bring you some if you ask

We loved the porter Pedro, who was so very welcoming and kind. We had a drink in the bar and again met a barman called Pedro and we had a really nice chat about life in Lisbon & Portugal. The room was really lovely, walk in shower and the most glorious smelling toiletries.

I felt the staff on reception although friendly did not enquire what room we required or the facilities within the hotel. We ended up in a very expensive Street city view room, which incidentally was a view of hire scooters. As we were unable to return home due to a family member being admitted to Hospital. The only facilities in your room are the mini bar, so if you wanted a coffee it was 3 euros. We attempted to order room service but it was very difficult, we were unable to access the web menu and the phone was constantly engaged, very frustrating when we were hungry. Please be aware there a large number of homeless people near these hotels.

The property is exceptionally clean, grand and beautifully presented. The facilities are fantastic, the breakfast is wonderful, our room had chrome cast which is great after a busy day exploring the city. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed, this hotel is excellent! The location is great too, close to many shops bars & restaurants and also easy access to the metro, just a short 5 min walk. The garage restaurant and Acadia chocolate store across the road are also fantastic! Highly recommend staying here! :)

I think the hotel is a very nice one! And a very quite place. The room size is good and bathroom is very modern and different I really liked it, we had our room with pool vie and beautiful painting of Lisbon, the staff were very kind and helpful

Only once the housekeeping service was bad, the employee even asked us if we could wait for next day for her to do our room and the bed. Another thing, Lisbon center is huge!! Alfama and Barrio alto are a bit far from the hotel, we had to walk a lot in order to get there, sometimes we felt tired so we ordered taxi. If you are planning to be more in Alfama and barrio Alto, I recommend to choose another hotel closer to these areas

The breakfast was amazing. The rooms are spacious. Great facilities and amenities. Great location, lots of nice restaurants in the area. You can easily reach the old city by metro, Belem by bus (all direct connections). We had a great time!

The guests were blocking the sunbeds by the pool: just placed their towels and left. The opening hours of the pool were confusing (different hours indicated in different places), the pool towels were not available at the reception, nor in the room
